"Harry I'm sorry" I said and he shook his head holding his wand up to me "what are you doing here?" He asked "I finally had my chance to escape and I took it" I said "what the grass wasn't greener on the other side?" Ron asked and I rolled my eyes "just hear me out" I said "why should we, not after what you did to George" Ron said and I sighed. "Ron, Harry hermione!" Bill shouted coming out the cottage.
He saw me and he held his wand up "step away from them Sam" he said "bill I just need five minutes to explain myself" I said and he shook his head "you don't get five minutes, you get the hell away from them and stay away from my family" he said and I noticed the scars on his face "Greyback?" I asked "like you don't know, bet you told him to attack me" he said and I frowned "bill I didn't, this is all a huge misunderstanding" I said and bill shook his head "leave now!" Bill said moving closer.
I looked between them all and knew I wasn't welcome anymore and simply nodded, I began walking away and I heard hermione talking "she doesn't need a wand to do magic so if she wanted Harry she could have got him no problem" she said "hermione forget it, she's bad now" Ron said. I walked a safe distance away and then disapperated, I knew if I did it too close to shell cottage that there would be the chance my mother and father would be able to track it. I wouldn't be able to use my magic either, the more I used it the stronger the bind between my father and I became. I didn't know where I was supposed to go, there wasn't really anywhere I could think was safe.
I needed new clothes, the longer I stayed in these more of a chance I had to be recognised. I had disapperated to diagon alley and slipped into a clothes shop and managed to get some clothes without scaring the assistant half to death. I stumbled upon the joke shop again and made my way round the back, I opened the back door and it was a stock room and it was empty. This would do I thought as I snuck in, I needed to change out of these clothes.
Little did I know though the twins had set up an alarm to be set off if someone entered through the door without permission. They came bursting into the stock room wands at the ready and Fred glared at me "came to finish the job have you" he said and I shook my head "what no..." I started but he cut me off "leave now" Fred said and I ignored him and turned to George "George please" I said but he shook his head "Sam leave your not welcome here" he said. I felt the tears welling up and nodded slowly "ok" I said quietly and went to the door "you know I'm not what you think I am" I said and George scoffed "you are exactly what I think you are Sam, a black through and through. Shame it took me too long to realise it" George said and I closed my eyes and nodded "I guess you'll want this back" I said taking off the chain I wore with the ring and held it out to George and Fred looked confused "you still wore it?" Fred asked as George took it out my hand but I didn't answer and left instead.
I needed somewhere to go, where no one would think to look for me. I made a quick decision and headed straight to the leaky cauldron I needed to flew to Hogsmead, I got strange looks as I entered the leaky cauldron but I paid no attention to it as I quickly left. I stumbled out the fireplace at the three broomsticks and quickly made my way out and took the walk out to the shrieking shack. They wouldn't think I'd come here I hoped, I headed inside and sighed wishing I could fix it and make it more liveable but that would mean using my magic and I couldn't risk it. I found a bedroom and changed into my new clothes before going to the bathroom and finding a mirror. I looked at myself for a while and realised how exhausted I looked, I barely recognised myself. The clothes I bought were my normal size but they hung off me due to all the weight I've lost.
I picked up the scissors and began cutting my hair, I didn't want anyone to recognise me. I needed to get supplies and I didn't want to be caught, I looked in the mirror when I was done and shook my head it didn't do much but it helped. I grabbed my cloak and headed down to the town and got some supplies I needed, I picked up a strange box with a woman's face on it "what's this?" I asked an assistant "ohh this is something called hair dye, the muggles use it a lot to change the colour of their hair permanent. We've taken it in but it's not really selling" she said and I nodded "strange" I said but knew I needed it. She walked off and I took a box of hair dye to try, I paid for my stuff before going back up to the shrieking shack and set the bags down on the floor and took the box of hair dye and read the instructions before attempting to dye my hair.
I was surprised at the results when I was done, I had actually managed to dye my hair the red colour that was on the box. It did change my appearance and I didn't think anyone would recognise me.
