Hi guys! 80th chapter! Gods I can't even believe it! Thanks so much for everyone participating! You're all a big help. :) Although I doubt anyone needs to be reminded, my poll is UP! Yay! Ok, this is getting boring. I think I might need to jazz up my AN formats... Where to begin, where to begin... Oh well. Look for it next chapter! I own nothing, and ENJOY THE CHAPTER! :D
Percy's POV (was it a literal explosion or not? The suspense! ;D)
Once back at shore, I had everyone gather around. "Alexander, it's your turn to catch. And you'll be catching... Wrath. Good luck you two."
Protests rang out. I kept my smug smirk on my face, even if it had more of an annoyed feeling to it.
Alexander complained, "But what if he's still evil? I don't want to have to catch him!"
Wrath whined, "But he hates me! He'll make me fall!"
Jake and Somos backed away. Poor Wrath and Alexander, they were too busy arguing to notice that I was about to explode.
In a deathly calm voice, I said, "Calm down."
Of course, neither of them listened. They continued arguing, occasionally poking each other in the chest. Even though that made me mad, I decided to give them one more try.
"Guys! Knock it off," I commanded. "This is your last chance..."
They did not heed the warning. Sadly, that's not my fault. Time for the explosion.
"WILL YOU SHUT UP?!" I screamed at them. After the day I've had, this is the last thing I wanted. "You're going to climb up that Wrath, and you're gonna jump off the cliff!" I pointed to Wrath, then gestured to the cliff behind him. "And you!" I pointed to Alexander, and gestured to the lake. "You're gonna go stand in the water, and then you'll catch him! GOT IT?!"
They both nodded, suddenly scared stiff. A small part of me, that wasn't filled with anger, chuckled. They're just some big bad scaredy cats. Then, the anger covered up those spots and I was mad again. "WELL, WHAT ARE YOU STANDING HERE FOR?!"
Scrambling to get away from me, the two bumped into each other, then ran the other way. Once they were gone, Somos and Jake emerged from hiding and stood next to me, chuckling. Eventually, I started to chuckle too, until we were all chuckling together. We must've looked weird if anyone was watching, or if we weren't in my brain, three guys chuckling at seemingly nothing at the edge of a lake.
After chuckling, I realized that neither guy was ready to make the starting move. Pretending to be angry, I yelled out to them, "IF YOU DONT START BY THE COUNT OF THREE, IM COMING OVER THERE!"
I made it to one before Wrath jumped, which was a major disappointment. I was looking forward to going over there. It will never happen now though. That's sad.
Oh well. I'm over it. Or am I...? I am.
Whatever. Anyways, Wrath jumped. For a terrifying few seconds, Alexander didn't do anything. Wrath was getting closer and closer to the water, falling a hundred yards a second. I held my breath. Is Alexander going to catch him...?
He did. Which was another disappointment. I didn't get to do anything. Why are these guys all pooping on my party?
Anyways, Wrath was falling rapidly to the water below. All of a sudden, a snake made of water burst from like lake and swallowed Wrath. Immobilized inside the water snake, Wrath sat there looking completely awkward. I mean, it's an amazingly cool snake made of water! Then, there's just this guy in the middle of it. It's like What?! Anyways, Alexander made the snake loop de loop, slide through the air, and a bunch of other cool moves before it hovered it in the at ground level right next to him. Alexander jumped on it, and rode the snake back to us all on shore.
"Dude! That's so cool!" Jake exclaimed.
Somos looked excited yet afraid at the same time. "That was interesting..."
I smirked to myself. I know Somos has a thing about snakes...
Of course, as the "older brother", I keep track of everyone. And someone couldn't participate in our conversation, because he was in the stomach of the water snake still.
"Um, hey Alex?"
"Yeah dude?"
"How's he gonna get out?" I pointed to Wrath in the snake's belly. It was actually pretty funny, because he was trying to yell at us, but bubbles only appeared on the snake's skin. Then he'd try to punch the inside of the snake, since it was all purely water with no air pockets, and only end up making ripples. It was fun to watch.
Just don't tell Wrath i said that. He'd mope like a teenage boy that got up at 7:30 on a Saturday. No offense to anyone, unless you already took offense to that.
Alexander looked to where I was pointing, then smiled. Snapping his fingers, he commanded the snake to do something. We all watched anxiously to see what he'd do.
First, the snake turned around and headed towards the lake. He put only his back end in, and reared up his head. After a moment, a popping noise could be heard, followed by a splash. The snake nodded his head at us, as a bow for its performance. My brothers and i clapped, then the snake evaporated into mist, which fell into the lake. It made us laugh, because it got Wrath even more wet than he already was. Since he didn't know how to use his powers as much, he got soaked.
It took Wrath several minutes to climb back to shore and reach our little group. "Pooped out by a snake, then sprayed with water." He sighed. "Gee thanks."
We all laughed. After the day we had, laughter is the best thing.
