Months went by and the wizarding world was slowly rebuilding itself, it would never be the same. Everyone had scars after the war but they were learning to move on and rebuild their lives.
I had been staying at the burrow helping Molly round the house, she was happy having someone there to keep her company. George stopped by for lunch everyday happy to spend that hour with me, our relationship had went back to the way it was if not stronger. He came in right on time and wrapped his arms round my waist and kissed me "how are you today love?" He asked "I'm fine" I said as he got seated and I brought his food over. "Right I'm off to town to get groceries and to meet your dad for lunch, I'll see you guys tonight for supper" Molly said popping her head into the kitchen and we nodded "bye" we said then Molly flooed off.
George turned to me and smirked "so we've got the whole house to ourselves?" He asked raising his eyebrow and I laughed "eat your dinner George" I said getting up. He caught my hand and pulled me down onto his lap "Sam we haven't had sex since before I left hogwarts, it's long overdue don't you think" he said and I giggled "it has been a while" I said before kissing him. George smirked into the kiss before deepening it, I got up from his lap and took his hand "let's move this upstairs" I said and he chuckled and we headed up to his old room. We got into the room and George shut the door before crashing his lips to mines, I wrapped my arms round his neck pulling him closer.
He wrapped his arms round my waist pulling our bodies flush and I ran my hands through his hair but he grabbed my right hand when it reached where his ear should have been. "What's wrong George?" I asked "it doesn't bother you does it" he asked nervously and I shook my head "why would it, shows that your a fighter George" I said "Sam way you don't mind the scar on my shoulder from my mark or the scar on my stomach from the department of mysteries incident" I added and George smiled.
I smirked up at him "plus I dig scars" I said unbuttoning his waistcoat "haven't you noticed the lingering glances I give bill" I teased and George frowned "not funny" he said and I giggled. "So are we having sex today or no?" I asked slipping his waistcoat off and he chuckled "ohh yes we are" he said and quickly picked me up causing me to giggle and we collapsed onto the bed and George crashed his lips to mines and things heated up from there. Clothes were quickly discarded "have I told you how hot you look in your suits!" I gasped out as George left kisses down my neck and he chuckled "no but now I know" he said kissing me once again before he made love to me. It was perfect, it was like being a teenager again in hogwarts dormitories but this time we didn't have the worry of Fred walking in on us.
We laid cuddled up afterwards and George kissed my head as he ran his hand up and down my back "given it anymore thought about coming to work with us at the jokeshop?" He asked and I nodded "I have and are you sure it wouldn't be weird?" I asked and he chuckled "no plus you can help us with our new inventions" he said and I smiled "I will miss spending time with your mum though" I said and he nodded "I know but you'll still be staying here since you insist on not moving in with me and Fred" he said and I chuckled "cmon George I'm not moving into the flat with you guys, people would talk" I said and he laughed "what if Fred was moving out and moving in with his girlfriend kells" he said and I smiled "then I'd think about it, you know your mums been getting on about planning our wedding" I said and he chuckled "you should let her start" he said "I just wasn't sure if you still wanted to marry me" I said
"Course I do, why else would I have given you the ring back" he said and I smiled and nodded "we're really doing this aren't we" I said and he nodded "it's about time we move on with our lives sam, everyone else has started to" he said and I nodded. The door burst open and we panicked pulling the sheet closer thinking it was Molly, she would kill us if she caught us like this. "Fred!" George said pissed "came to see why you haven't came back from lunch and now I know why" Fred said with a smirk and George shook his head "not funny" he said "just like old times isn't it" Fred said.
"By the way I'd change before mum gets back, I've closed the shop for the afternoon so meet me downstairs" he added before leaving the room. "Nothing changes" I said and George chuckled and kissed me before we dressed and headed downstairs "so why have you closed the shop?" I asked getting settled on the sofa "well the fact George didn't come back and I've been thinking we need to come up with a couple of new inventions so I was hoping George has convinced you to come work for us" he said and I laughed "yes George has convinced me, among other things" I said and Fred looked at George confused then smiled.
"Your planning the wedding" Fred said and I nodded "yes we are" I said and George sat next to me "and she's moving into the flat with me" he said and Fred grinned "well this is great, everything's falling into place, mum will be over the moon" he said and I nodded "I know" I said. "So Fred George says your moving in with your girlfriend Kells, who's this?" I asked and Fred blushed "just this girl I met in diagon alley, you'll love her. She's a bit like you doesn't have much friends that's girls. Says they're too much hassle" he said and I laughed "sounds like I'll get on with her, must be serious if your moving in though" I said and Fred changed the subject quickly.
Later that night after supper we announced the good news and Molly was bursting with excitement she had so many ideas, she brought out a wedding folder and it seemed she had been planning mine and George's wedding for some time. "This is amazing Molly" I said and she nodded "thank you, but this is only if you want this. If you don't like it we can scrap it and start from new" she said and I shook my head "no I love it, it's perfect" I said and she smiled and nodded "well I could have this all planned and ready for a month" she said "really?" I asked and she nodded "really" she said "well then I guess we get married in a month then" I said to George and he grinned "the sooner the better" he said giving my hand a squeeze.
