A month later I was standing in the middle of ginny's room looking in the mirror, it was the day of the wedding and I was ready. I was so nervous, I was finally going to get my happy ending with my best friend. The George opened and Molly popped her head in and gasped "Sam you look beautiful" she said and I felt the tears welling up "thank you" I said and she came in "I knew it would suit you" she said fluffing the dress and I smiled "I still can't believe you managed to pull off organising this wedding and making my dress in a month" I said and she chuckled and nodded and Arthur knocked and opened the door "it's time Sam" he said and I smiled and took a deep breath "let's go" I said and Arthur held his arm out "are you still ok walking me down the aisle?" I asked and he nodded "course I am, I'm so happy you asked me" he said and I chuckled.
We headed downstairs and Molly headed out and Arthur chuckled when hand hands began shaking "take a deep breath" he said and I nodded and we heard the music start and we headed out the burrow and began walking down the aisle. I looked up and George was stood at the top grinning, he looked so handsome in his suit. He was the only thing that I was focused on, I was stood in front of him and he stepped forward taking my hand and Arthur went and sat next to Molly. "You look beautiful" George said and I blushed and he chuckled.
We turned as Kingsley Shacklebolt started the service, George and I couldn't take our eyes off one another. We exchanged vows and rings "you may now kiss the bride" shacklebolt said and George smirked and dipped me before kissing me. I giggled as he helped me stand upright and there was a round of applause, "we finally did it" I said and George grinned "we finally have" he said wrapping his arm round my waist guiding me down the aisle.
Later that night after the meal the band was starting up and George took my hand "it's time for our first dance love" he said and I nodded and he guided me onto the floor. "This day has been amazing" he said and I nodded "your mum really has made an amazing job of it" I said and he nodded "I didn't think she'd be able to top bill and fleurs wedding but she has" he said and I nodded. "You know she'll be expecting grandbabys soon, preferably nine months from now" he said and I giggled "how would she feel about maybe one in eight months" I said and George looked at me confused "but it takes nine months" he said and I laughed "you can be so dense at times George" I said "I'm already pregnant" I added and his eyes widened "what really?" He asked and I nodded "yeah we've never been great on contraception spells have we" I said and he grinned and span me round causing me to giggle. "We're going to have a baby" he said and I nodded "we will keep it to ourselves for now though" she said and he nodded "course love" he said and we looked round to see everyone else had joined in with the dance.
"So Fred looks smitten with his girlfriend" I said and George nodded "he's going to propose tonight" he said and I grinned "really?" I asked and he nodded "really" he said and I smiled "ohh that's exciting" I said and George nodded "you should spend some time with her, you two will get on great" he said and I nodded "I think I will, she seems friendly" I said.
We spent the rest of the night talking and dancing, we made our rounds with all the guests and George just wanted to sneak off but I wouldn't let him. "Cmon it's our wedding night" he said and I chuckled "why so desperate?" I asked and he chuckled "because I've got something very romantic planned" he said and I smiled "well then maybe we could sneak off" I said and he grinned and we said some quick goodbyes before we headed out the tent.
George wrapped his arms round me "close your eyes" he said and I nodded and closed my eyes and we apparated. I felt the wind and smelt sea air "can I open my eyes now?" I asked "yes" he said and I looked round "wow" I said seeing we were on a secluded beach with a cottage. George guided me over to a blanket that he had lain out with candles "I wanted to make this night special" he said opening a dish to show some chocolate covered strawberries and pointed to a ice bucket with champagne and we got settled. "I'm sorry about the champagne" he said and I giggled "you didn't know I was pregnant, I just found out a couple of days ago. Thought I'd surprise you" I said and he nodded and kissed my head "you certainly did" he said and we looked out over the beach "everything's perfect now" George said kissing me. It really was perfect, I not only married my best friend but my soul mate and nothing would come between us again.
