Oomph!
"Try again my lady, anticipate your enemy's movement. "
"I am trying," Bella glowered.
"Now, now Miss Swan, there is no need to growl," the butler chided.
Bella used her hands as leverage and arching her back and she jumped to a stand.
"Now, let's try again," the butler motioned to come and get him.
Bella collapse in total exhaustion. They had been at it since the break of dawn. It was as Sebastian promised, they had started training in combat the day after her riding lesson.
After she was awoken from her dreamless slumber early in the morning, she dressed and ate before he had made her run around the property a couple of times until she could feel her muscles burning. He said that it would be difficult in the beginning, but that it would get better as the time progresses.
Stupid demon butler...
She glared at the smirking, raven haired demon. She wanted nothing more than to punch the smirk plastered in his face, off. He was enjoying it far too much watching Bella grumble, whine and spout profanities whenever she was taken down or ordered to stretch her muscles.
Said butler watched as his mistress attempted to stand up tall, they had been at it since the break of dawn and so far everything was as he expected. Bella is a hard worker and in no time she would be able to hold her own against a human with a medium knowledge of self defence. With a large huff Bella threw him another glare making him smile wider.
Mistress is so much fun to tease...

Sebastian set up tea and cakes on the marble table on the patio. The sun was high in the clear blue sky with little puffs of clouds here and there. As always Pluto was lounging not far from the demon butler. His large wolf head laid on his giant paws and his fluffy tail curled around his body. Opening one of his eyes he joined his masters in watching Bella run around the estate for the last time that day.
"How-" Ciel started, but couldn't find it within himself to finish. Pain shot through his demonic heart remembering the regret in his mate's features.
After he was left in the stream that night he came home alone and was met by Sebastian, a frown on his face, but as if he knew what was happening he didn't ask any question, but proceeded to greet him like any other time. He wondered whether his long time friend had any insight to what was happening. Ever since had become his shadow all those years ago he had noticed the butler was very insightful, much like Mr Tanaka.
Later that night he had spent a good hour or two, well whole night, outside his mate's room debating whether to knock and ask why she ran. It's not that he couldn't go into the room and ask what was wrong, it was just that he couldn't earlier. He was informed by his demon friend that Bella ordered Ciel to stay away until further notice with tear filled eyes. So his suspicions was right after all, moments after Bella had departed he felt a tingling sensation where his proof of contract lies and felt feelings that wasn't his lowly echoed through their bonds.
She had ordered for me to stay away from her... using the contract...
Sebastian had cleared earlier that the foreign feelings he felt was because of their connection as mates and not of the demon contract.
Sadness...Regret...
He sat in the empty hallway with his back against her door wondering why she would push him away. Does she feel something for him? Why would she be feeling sadness and regret? If she had felt that way then why had she ordered for him to stay away? Question after question ran through his mind. He only moved to leave when he noticed Bella's change of breathing and his butler's footsteps closing in. It pained him to walk away.
He was brought out of his thoughts by Sebastian's evaluation of his mate's lesson.
"I am quite surprise with her stamina, young master. Even though she haven't had training before she is doing really well as a beginner and as usual she is a quick learner."
"I see." His gaze never left his mate. Even though he was ordered to stay away she didn't specify for him to see her without herself noticing. One thing he had learned from his demon butler was that there was always a high probability to find loopholes with every order.

-Dream-
Bella stirred as a bright beam of light came from above. A soft breeze carrying the scent of the forest and summer floral scent floated in the air.
Flowers?
The last thing she remembered was sitting in front of the lit fireplace and reading one of the books from her classic collection. It was little after midday when she decided to relax and read after her long morning workout. Her muscles were aching and every time she moved pain shot through her body. It was a miracle that she was able to climb the stairs and sit on one of the sofas in the library without any help from Sebastian and Pluto, though there were times when her clumsiness returned.
Her eyes fluttered and came into focus. Looking around, it looked like she was in the garden. She wondered what she was doing there in the first place. Did she sleep walk?
Sitting up her eyes widened at the outfit she was wearing. It was a knee length, dark navy, Victorian dress. It was beautiful. But why was she wearing it?
"Hello dear," an angelic voice called out to her.
She looked around trying to find the source of the sound. There on the patio sat a female with long blonde hair that fell in ringlets, with familiar sky blue eyes and beside her was a handsome man with dark navy hair and brown eyes. Both were smiling tenderly and looked very familiar.
"Come, sit and join us," the female said, gesturing to the seat next to them.
Stunned speechless she reluctantly accepted their invitation. The seemed nice and harmless.
When she was a few feet from them and got a closer look it clicked how both looked so familiar. The woman's eyes and the male's face, they both have the same features as Ciel.
Sitting down she blurted out before she could stop herself, "Your Ciel's parents!"
Both looked at her surprised and interested as to how the brunette came to that conclusion.
"You have his eyes," she said looking at the stunning woman, "And you look like an older version of Ciel," she nodded to the fine-looking man beside her.
"Right you are Miss Swan. I am Vincent and this is my darling Rachel," Vincent said, lacing his hands with his wife's making Bella blush.
"It's nice to meet you, " Bella said shyly, feeling her cheeks heat up.
Though she had spent most of the last year growing up she still haven't succeeded in suppressing her blush when witnessing any act of romance, unfortunately a habit she never grew out off.
"Now dear, no need to be nervous. It is just us here," Rachel said softly.
"Would you like some tea?" Vincent asked.
"Yes please."
Placing the ceramic cup filled with its hot content on the table, he asked Bella. "So how is our little Ciel?"
Bella looked at them in stunned confusion.
She looked down at her hands and started to fidget. She wasn't sure what to say. Where does she start? What was she supposed? Does she say he is far from human and that he is a demon?
"Uhmn..."
"Now Vincent dear, I think you won't find answers if you didn't specify your question..."
"Right. Sorry love," Vincent said apologetically. "Isabella, " he started, getting the brunette's attention "Sorry I didn't elaborate. We know he is demon and you had formed a contract with him. We just want to know how is he from your point of view. True we are no longer alive, but that doesn't mean we can't get little glimpses of how our little Ciel is doing."
"Well he is fine, he can be serious and collected most of the time, but he has his moments when he would relax and enjoy his surroundings."
"I see. That's good, that boy had always been somewhat dethatched after we died. I am glad he is somehow getting back to his old self," Vincent mused and his wife nodded in agreement.
Then they looked at Bella and to each other , silent communication passed between them and as if something made sense they shared knowing smiles.
Bella stopped fidgeting with them hem of her dress and spoke, "Thank you."
"For what my dear?"
"For bringing Ciel to this world. Without him I would be just a broken doll waiting for death. He gave me a chance, a chance to get my justice. Although some may disagree and call my retribution revenge, I just call it how I see it. In my eyes its justice, even with a price. I had come to terms that I played a part in why my family and friends are gone, because even after finding out the Cullen's were vampires, I still pursued the," She sighed, "I will never find happiness knowing Victoria is out there waiting until it is time to finish what she had started. We humans are bound to die sometime, I am just putting mine ahead of schedule even though I think mine went passed its deadline."
She looked into the open garden to their right, her brown locks flowing freely in the gentle breeze, "I was all alone when they were gone. I thought there would be nothing else for me but waiting...It was just after the funeral that a voice spoke and out of the shadows of the forest stepped two figures. Ciel and Sebastian made me feel emotions I thought I had lost long ago. They were there when I needed them, giving me support and care, like a family or friend would."
She knew the only reason both demons accepted her presence with them was because of the contract, but nevertheless even if the support and care were because of the contract she was still grateful to be able to feel something again. Little did she know that both demons had grown fond of her, she had wormed her way into their demonic hearts, especially the heart of a certain dark navy haired demon.
Then she smiled, "Moreover they made me feel alive again. Somehow, whenever I see myself in the mirror, I can see part my old self again...long before I meet the Cullens, before the heartbreak and loss. Being with them is making my remaining time with the living somewhat enjoyable and I am truly grateful for it."
Sipping her tea Rachel asked the question that was the reason for them visiting Bella in her dreams, "So dear, when are you going to tell Ciel about your feelings?"
Bella choked on her tea, "I-I ...what?"
"When are you going to tell our little Ciel how you feel?" They asked.
When are you going to tell him you love him?
It was without a doubt Bella that is feeling something if not love for their son. You would be called blind if you couldn't see how she talks about Ciel and the way she interacted with him in the few glimpse they had on the other side.
Bella sighed in defeat, "As much as I want to confess how I feel for him, I won't. Once the contract has been fulfilled I will be leaving him. I don't want him to get hurt when I am gone. I can't have him feeling what I had felt before, I know how much it hurts to lose someone you care deeply for."
Both parents nodded with understanding. It is indeed painful to lose someone you love dearly.
"Besides, I don't think he feels the same way..." Thinking that the moment by the stream was just spontaneous and meant nothing.
I am just plain Bella, nothing special. So why would he like me right?
Rachel chuckled while Vincent smiled, "I wouldn't say that Isabella dear. Based from the few glimpses we got of him he is feeling something towards you if not the same thing you are feeling for him."
Vincent continued, "When he first became a demon he become detached from his humanity. He was just existing until he could eat another soul. He never truly smiled or interacted with anyone else aside from his butler. It's true Sebastian keep him company as a friend and butler, but we could see he longed for something. "
"Then when you came along little by little he started to open up," Rachel reached over the table and grasped Bella's hand as a thank you, "He started to smile again, becoming the Ciel he once was. You may or may not have noticed, but both of you helped each other, healing each other. You yourself was broken. You lived each day waiting for your time to come, for the vampire to end your life. Now look at you, full of life and energy."
Then Ciel's mother did something unexpected. She stood up and went over to Bella and hugged her. Warmth enveloped her like a blanket. Closing her eyes she sobbed into the mother's arms.
"We know the future may seem bleak, but don't fret and don't lose hope. No one really knows what the future holds."
Opening her eyes, everything seemed to shine brightly and then fading into the light.
"Isabella, both of your parents are proud of what you had accomplished and they don't blame you for what happened to them. None of them blame you so stop blaming yourself. They love you very much."
Rachel let go of Bella and went to stand beside her husband, " Unfortunately it is time for us to go. It was nice to finally meet the person who made Ciel feel something again. Take care of our Ciel. We leave him in your hands. Tell him we love him very much...and Isabella...take care..."
With one last smile everything around her vanished into nothing.

Bella sighed and placed her book down. Last night she had a strange dream about meeting Ciel's parents. All day her mind was replaying the dream over and over again. It felt so real to her.
Looking out into the beads of rain that covered the window she couldn't help but to remember her old life in Forks, her dad.
With a soft voice, as if he were in the room with her, she called Sebastian. Seconds later there was a knock in the door alerting her to a new presence.
"You called Miss Swan?" Sebastian asked.
Still looking out into the gloomy backyard she asked, "Uhm...Actually I was wondering if you could find out something for me?"
"Of course, anything..."
"I...I want to know if I was adopted."
"Adopted?" He looked at her perplexed.
"Yes," she answered and continued telling him her frequent dreams about a couple and a baby, ending in a tragic tale.
"Can you find out please?"
"Is it an order?"
"Yes!"
"Very well, it shall be done, My lady."

Looking at the flickering fire she closed her eyes and leaned against Pluto's silky soft silver fur. He was laid lazily behind her. He came earlier looking for her soothing presence. Both lit the fireplace, with the help of the fire breathing hound, and situated themselves on the carpet enjoying the warmth and silence and Bella let her mind cloud with happier memories of the past.
It was a few moments later when she spoke, barely above whisper.
"Hey mum, dad... you would never guess, but I graduated from a well known university," She let out a saddened laugh, "Can you believe it? A university! I could just imagines Jake's disbelief and Angela's amused smile."
"Are you proud of me? Do you think if Victoria didn't get to you, you would had a chance seeing me wear a graduation gown and walked on a platform to get my diploma? I bet mum would have been crying and dad would have been hiding his tears behind the dust excuse."
She blinked a couple of times keeping the tears at bay, "I...I miss you all so much... your smiles, laughter, warmth filled hugs and comforting words whenever I am down," She brought her knees to her chest and rested her chin on top.
Pluto looked up and licked a stray tear that trailed down Bella's cheeks. She giggled and petted him, "Thank you Pluto."
