AN: I don't own Twilight and Kuroshitsuji, also some of the quotes that are used in this fanfic are from the anime/manga. They are far to awesome to not include.

I would like to thank XxJasper'sAngelxX for going over my chapters :D

"So... Why am I here?" Bella asked as she wiggled her wrist for comfort. The roughness of the rope that bound her dug into her skin so much that she winced every time she moved.

'That's going to leave a bruise… Why do I always get kidnapped...' She mentally grumbled.

Watching the pacing fat man in front of her she looked at her surroundings. She was tied up in the middle of what looked like an abandoned warehouse. Rusty and broken, with a gaping hole for a roof, giving her a good view of starry night sky with crates of different sizes were scattered around the area, was all she could see in the poor light of a hanging light bulb above her.

"It is that Phantomhive brat's fault! Because of him my wife and kid left me," The fat man ranted ignoring Bella's question. His hair was almost nonexistent, but he tried to combe some of it over the middle, the suit he was wearing had a few tears and dirt here and there. Over all he looked awful and the smell coming from him made the damp, rusty smell of the warehouse seem like a fresh summer breeze. It took all of Bella's willpower not to throw up there and then.

"You know I was an enthusiastic inventor before I meet him. I had a loving family and I was full ideas ready to be brought to life. I had a dream, a dream that my inventions would bring that spark of happiness to every child's eyes, but in order to do that I need investments to be able to mass produce. I went to one of the most well known toy producers in the world in hopes that they were able to provide me money to... "

Bella had enough of his life story and she tuned the man out and looked back over the hours before she was abducted.

- 2 hours earlier -

Ciel couldn't help but marvel at the sight before him, the sun was peeking over the mountains and illuminated his office, warming the chilly atmosphere from dawn, though it wasn't the destruction, papers, wood or books that littered the area that got his attention, no none of it could take his eyes away from the sleeping beauty in his arms.

Rays from the sun passed through the windows hitting just the right angle making Bella's form glow, much like when they went for a horseback ride for the first time. Her long auburn locks cascaded down, framing her heart shaped face. Long dark lashes framed her closed eyes, hiding her chocolate orbs that seemed to search his soul every time he gazed into them, soft kissable cherry lips were slightly parted from her even breathing and slight dusting of pink coloured her fair skin. She was a true vision of beauty, though he thought that the word beauty didn't do her justice. She was the embodiment of beauty itself rivalling Venus.

He had awoken earlier and found himself tangled in an embrace with his mate in front of the once lit fireplace. The events from the previous night came back to him, from his pleas, to the destruction of his office, admitting his fears and finally surrendering to their feelings and lastly the kiss. Taking a stray lock of her hair he took a deep breath of his mate's fruity yet floral scent.

Moments later Bella stirred from her dreamless slumber. Her eyelids fluttered like butterfly wings until they fully opened to reveal the chocolate brown eyes that he loved.

Ciel leaned down and kissed the tip her nose, "Good morning my Bell."

Blushing at the affection she murmured back whilst burying her head into his lean chest hoping to hide her reddening cheeks, " Morning Ciel."

Her blush intensified when her brain finally caught up and she remembered what happened the previous night. Tracing her lips with her fingers she couldn't help but feel a tingling sensation still present from their kiss.

Ciel chuckled, bringing his hand to her cheek softly, enjoying the warm soft sensation. Bella's eyes closed and she leaned into his touch.

Both were startled from their lovely moment by a knock on the door. Answering the unspoken summons the demon butler entered the destructed room while pushing a trolley filled with food in front of him and the lounging couple glared at the raven haired demon who dared to disturb them.

"Good morning young master, Miss. Swan," Sebastian greeted them with a bow and a curve of his lips that slightly resembled a smile. There was also an unmistakable twinkle in his burgundy eyes that they were fairly sure resembled glee.

Pushing his way through the office he reached for the patio doors and opened them swiftly to be greeted by a conservatory that was made with glass panels, metal and bricks. In the middle was a dark marble table and chairs and a few potted plants here and there on the surrounding walls or hanging.

Tilting her head to the side Bella asked, "I don't remember that being there before...since when did you have a conservatory?" She turned to looked at Ciel for an answer.

For weeks she had been in the manor and explored every room and garden, she hadn't seen a conservatory before, heck she was running around the building the day before and would have noticed if someone was building a new attachment. Plus the noise, she would have definitely heard construction noise, but alas there weren't.

"It's one of the abilities we demons have called manifestation. We are able to recreate objects or buildings in a matter of hours or seconds depending on how big and complex they are. Another example of that is this manor itself, including the furniture and decorations which was recreated in a matter of hours."

Knowing the reason for the fire from the stories Ciel had told her before she just nodded her head in understanding and took a seat on the chair Ciel pulled out for her.

"Today we have poached eggs, scones, toast, waffles and fruit salad served with Jasmine or Earl grey tea," Sebastian said while laying each item on the table in perfect arrangement. As always the food the demon presented was done to perfection that even the best chef in the world had nothing on and its presentation was like art that showed each of the ingredients exquisiteness. In short, all of the food he prepared was a masterpiece.

"Thank you Sebastian," Bella said cheerfully. Smelling the sweet aroma of homemade breakfast, she dug in relishing each bite, "Sebastian, with the food you prepare I see no reason to visit top restaurants to taste their food while I could have them prepared by you in the comfort of home."

"You flatter me Miss. Swan."

Swallowing a mouthful Bella asked the raven haired demon, "What is the schedule for today Sebastian?"

"Today you will be training indoors or if you wish you can join me at the farmers market out in the village or you could join the young master in whatever he planned for today, though I was going to ask the young master to supervise you in my absence," He said looking at his young master questioningly.

"It is your choice Isabella," Ciel said as he took a sip of his earl grey tea, "You have trained enough and your studies were mostly finished long before Christmas. As for the research, it has been slow and most of it has been a dead end. With the results we are getting we might focus more on the information in the demon realm library, but this would require a lot of travel from here to there. Translation is also needed when reading them since they are not written in the common tongue..." he trailed off when he noticed the solemn look on his mate's face.

Deep inside Bella's hope deflated, 'So I guess there is no hope after all... The mortal theories are out of the question if it's anything to go by and the possibility of finding an answer in the demon realm is close to zero.'

Seeing his butlers pointed look he added, steering the conversation on to something else. "Or we could go and explore this farmers market, take a break from everything. I myself might do more damage here if I stay any longer."

Bella looked up from her plate and looked at Ciel, her unshed tears clear in her eyes, "Are you sure?"

"Yes, besides we have been cooped up in this house since we arrived, maybe a change of scenery will be good," Ciel said, grasping her hand in his.

Bella looked at him like he had grown a second head. "You...Ciel who is always following the schedule...proposing to go out and brush it off..." She pointed her fork towards him, "Who are you and what have you done with the real Ciel?"

The young demon scowled at the brunette who broke into fits of giggles not a moment later, completely wiping her serious facade.

"I'm not always serious and uptight," He grumbled like a petulant child, opening the newspaper fully to hide their view of him, but if you looked closely there was a tinge of blush across the young demon's cheeks.

"It's true, you always follow a schedule and hardly, sorry I mean never, go off track. Isn't that right Sebastian?"

"As much as I want to deny it, Miss Swan is right young master."

"Yeah..yeah, whatever..."

Despite the sudden change of weather from clear sunny skies to cloudy with drizzles of rain here and there it didn't put a stop the local farmers setting up stalls of different sizes on an open field and filling them with local produce from meat and poultry to veggies, preserves, jams, pastries and lots more and the locals to grab their coats, put their wellies on and open their umbrellas. The busy and lively environment of the local farmers market made the gloomy weather bearable and somehow enjoyable.

Looking at the items here and there Bella couldn't help but be astonished at the things they sold fresh from their own gardens, farms or backyards. She never really went to a farmers market before so seeing it for the first time was an experience she will never forget, regardless of the rain.

Both demons watched in amusement as Bella bounced from one stall to another. Wonderment in her eyes brightened the dark weather and Ciel's heart swelled in pride for making his mate happy. He would do anything for her, anything to keep her smiling, but despite the happiness there was the underlying fear, fear of losing the one he loved more than life itself. Fear of not finding an answer. Fear of being alone.

He didn't know how long he stood in the middle of the path, but he was brought back to reality by a firm hand on his shoulder. Following the arm he came face to face with the encouraging burgundy eyes of his friend and butler. Getting the silent message of reassurance and support, he nodded back.

Cowering from the pouring rain Bella took shelter under a towering tree near the edge of the gathering. They had been there for a few hours, not that she noticed due to the fun she was having, but by some miracle Bella, a human, had manage to get lost from her demon companions. Although when she thought about it, she left both demons at the mercy of old and young ladies pestering them with their goods from the stall, asking their details or the reason for their visit to the farmers market and why they were wearing a butler's uniform and semi formal clothing. She also enjoyed the horror that came into Ciels eyes and Sebastian's amusement. Thinking it may take time for the crowd to disperse she sneaked out of the tent and into another stall.

Now it was pouring down heavily and everyone had gone inside the gazebos for shelter, leaving the pathway empty. She leaned back closing her eyes and listening to the pitter patter of the rain. The nostalgic scent of rain and cold weather sent a tinge of pain and sadness through her heart. They very much remind her of Forks, of Charlie, Jake and Angela.

She remembered a certain memory of her childhood, making mud pies with Jake that resulted in being covered with mud from head to toe and the reprimand they got from Charlie and a laughing Billy. It had been a cloudy day when they started playing outside and as the time passed by both didn't notice the rolling rain cloud that by the time rain came their game of pass the ball turned into playing in the mud making anything from mud pies to mud balls for throwing, which resulted in an all out mud war. By the time the adults found them they looked like mud people, formerly human Jake and Bella.

A soft whimper brought her out of her childhood memories and looking to where it had originated she could faintly see a ball of fur tucked under a hollowed tree. Getting closer she could finally see the creature clearly despite the dim surrounding. It was a small kitten, slightly bigger than her fist, curled up on the soft moss. Though it wasn't an any ordinary kitten, above its ebony fur was two little horns protruding on top of its head and two tails wrapped around its form. Looking around there was no one nearby or any indication the little ball of fur belonged to anyone. If the beat up state was any indication she thought this creature in front of her had been abandoned.

The kitten shivered and Bella didn't wait, but scooped the little creature up and tucked it inside her jacket for warmth. She felt a lot of resemblance between the kitten and herself. She herself had also been abandoned in the forest, alone and feeling unloved.

"Don't worry, I will keep you warm and you will never be alone."

Her attention was so focused on the kitten that she never noticed the object heading towards her and out of nowhere a sharp pain made her grab her shoulder. What she felt when she put her hand on her shoulder was a syringe like tube that was sticking out and pulling it out she could finally see a dart with a red feather in the end.

"What the...?" Was all she got out before darkness took her.

- Present-

"I am happy with the originality of tranquilizer darts since it hasn't been used on me before, usually its a hit to the back of the head, but really where is the originality?! ...kidnapping...abandon warehouse?...I am tired of being kidnapped! " She exclaimed and whined in the end.

The kidnapper stopped his rant when he noticed he was ignored, "Did you hear anything I said?!"

"Uhmn...nope...you talk too much.."

"Why you..." He growled, ready to back hand Bella when the object of his hatred emerged from the shadows, his eyes glowing crimson.

"You know...I hoped to have a good break today..." He all but growled.

The fat man took out his gun and aimed at Ciel, "You Brat! It is your fault!"

"Tsk...tsk...Miss Swan, getting yourself kidnapped again?" Sebastian asked while untying the binds carefully.

Bella pouted, "It wasn't my fault, besides he isn't after me but Ciel," She said rubbing her sore wrists.

Keeping an eye on the sight for sore eyes mortal, Ciel ordered, "Sebastian if you would please..."

"Of course young master," Sebastian said appearing behind the kidnapper and grabbed him in a tight grip breaking a few bones in the process.

Ciel appeared before Bella and scooped her up bridal style, earning a surprised yelp from her.

"You know, you just sealed your fate worse than hell for taking what's mine," The man looked at Ciel with wide eyes, "As much as I would enjoy your demise, my mate is far more important, but I leave you in the capable hands of my friend there," Ciel said gesturing at the smirking demon butler.

"It would be my pleasure, my lord," He purred.

With that said Ciel turned on his heel and exited the building before loud screams was heard. Feeling that she was safe and sound Bella snuggled closer to her saviour and closed her eyes.

- Later that evening -

Ciel glared at the little ball of black fur in Bella's arms. It was hours later when Bella woke up with her head on Ciel's lap. They were on a large leather sofa in front of a crackling fire from the fireplace in the library.

It was minutes after they arrived that Ciel started to tend to his mate's injuries. Imagine his surprise when he tried to pry Bella out of her wet coat and he came across an unusual kitten nested inside her jacket. As much as he hated the ball of fur so close to his mate, he couldn't do anything to harm it without facing his mate's wrath later on. He knew there was a reason for Bella to keep a beat up cat inside her coat, but looking at the sleeping duo his eyes softened at the peaceful sight. When his butler arrived with a satisfied smirk on his face he quickly called for him and placed the kitten in his care. Not forgetting to throw in a scowl the kittens way, wiping any trace of soften gaze from earlier. Besides he had a reputation to uphold after all.

Bella's eyes suddenly became doe like and glossy as if tears were forming, her bottom lip stuck out and was quivering. She looked at Sebastian with pleading eyes, the kitten nestled in her arms wrapped in bandages.

"No Isabella, its enough that we have a dog, a demon dog, in the mansion," Ciel said looking anywhere but in her eyes. He couldn't stand to see her sad, at all!

"Try harder Miss Swan," Sebastian persuaded earning death glare from Ciel.

"Please..." Came a silent child like voice from Bella, followed by little sniffles.

Sebastian watched from the sidelines, very much enjoying every second of it. The cat, seeing his saviour's sadness, tried to console her by purring and snuggling into the crook of her neck. Ciel couldn't help but look back at Bella and just in time to see salty tears trail down her rosy cheeks.

That was the last straw and he finally surrendered, "Fine! Very well you can keep him," He said throwing his hands up in the air.

Wiping the tears from her eyes quickly with her sleeves, her frown become a beaming smile. He scowled at her sudden change of attitude while Sebastian grinned at his master's defeat.

"But, on one condition..." He looked at her intently.

"Of course, anything."

"That fur ball," Ciel said pointing at the content cat in her arms, "Gets to stay IF you take care of him. You saved him therefore it makes him your responsibility. Do we have ourselves a deal Miss Swan?"

"Yes of course!" She exclaimed jumping up and down, "Thank you Ciel!" Placing the kitten in the butler's arms before engulfing young demon in a warm embrace.

"Quite a find you have here Miss Swan, if I do say so myself."

"What do you mean?" She asked settling herself on Ciel's lap.

"What you have here is a demon cat. To be more specific, a Cat Sídhe. Since ancient times they had lived peacefully with humans as the protective deity for local silkworm farmers. In exchange for protecting the silkworms from being killed by mice and other disasters they receive offerings of food as well as festivals in their name. However as time changed silk cultivation became outdated and people stopped worshiping their kind. Little by little they disappeared from the mortal realm and to this day no one really knows where they all are. Last time I saw one of these creatures were centuries ago, but that was in the demon realm. If I may ask, how did you came across this lovely creature?"

"I found Jinx curled up in a small hollow under a tree. It was pouring down and he was soaked to the bone. He reminded me of me from years ago and since there was no indication of him belonging to someone I took him with the intention of adopting him. Give him a family and protecting from those who harmed him."

"Jinx?"

Bella shrug, "I always wanted to name a black cat Jinx if I were able to keep one as a pet. Besides it does suit him because he ended up with the weirdest group of people/supernaturals, two demons, one grumpy at the moment the other smirking showing his amusement towards his master, not forgetting his love for felines and large hatred for dogs and one human that is mated to Mr. Grumpy over here," Bella explained pointing at the scowling young demon.

"I see..."

"First a demon dog...now a demon cat...what's next? A demon bird?" Ciel mumbled in Bella's hair.

Sebastian smiled at the content cat in his arms, "Cats are great, they don't talk about useless things or do them and nothing is cuter." scratching its fur eliciting purrs. "They are something that doesn't exist in my world. They have pets over there as well, but...it doesn't quite compare," He said thinking back at the vicious looking creatures demons consider pets.
