Jinx purred happily as he took a ride on his master's shoulder, twin tails curling on her neck like a scarf. Bella took a deep breath, taking in the fresh air, thanking that the weather has lightened up. Sunny with puff of clouds here and there. Gathering up her thin jacket, boots and satchel field with snacks prepared by the raven haired butler from the nearby table she stepped out into the patio and whistled for her silver furred friend. Ciel had left the manor for business while Sebastian was left doing house chores, Bella, mutt and kitty watch.

A speck of silver can be seen from the distance, growing larger in size as it gets closer. Within minutes a bounding Pluto was on sight, his silver fur fluffy as ever, tongue out drooling everywhere and ruby eyes sparkling with excitement and adoration.

Skidding to a halt he gave Bella a wet sloppy kiss and an annoyed hiss from the feline for he was partially wet.

"Eww. Plutto! Stop it." she laugh, wiping drool off her face and pushing the giant dog away.

He sat on his hind legs, his tail swishing and thumping on the ground.

"A lovely day today isn't it ?. What do you say we go for little adventure ?." she asked, scratching the special spot behind his ears. "What do you say boy?.

"Woof!"

Grabbing a handful of his fur Bella maneuvered her body like a gymnast and end up sat on his back, mindful not to startle Jinx from her shoulders.

Pointing towards the horizon she shouted enthusiastically. " Go !"

With that, the party set off into the forest. Tinkling laughter and bark of happiness echoed throughout the gardens.

Dashing through the towering trees a smile made way to Bella lips. Breathing fresh air she relished on the feeling of freedom. Animals of different sizes peeked from where they are to find the source of the tinkling laugh. None visit the forest anymore since the occupants of the manor and cottage passed away. It was always hectic and loud but oddly comforting, at least thats what their parents told them. They told them stories of beast changing to human, red eyed butler, blow torch enthusiast, clumsy maid, peaceful head butler, snake friend and more.

They praise about a blonde haired boy with a straw hat that has no talent for gardening which makes them wonder how he became a gardener on the first place. But nevertheless he treat creatures big or small with such kindness they befriend in a short moments they spend time with him.

Hours had passed they lay on the green field enjoying the sun's warm rays and natures music. After exploring more of the state, they had discovered a bear cave which they had run away as fast as possible when the slumbering mammal was awoken from his nap and promise to each other to be wary of caves. Always.

They also stumbled across a small wooden cottage a little distance from the mansion. Curiosity got the best of them that they had entered the house. There was no reason searching for an open window or breaking the door since they had found the front door opened. Looking inside was a simple decorated living room, kitchen and bedrooms. It would had felt homey if it weren't empty. Few photograph hanged in the living room, one in particular caught her attention a smiling red head on the arms of a blonde with what looked like a blowtorch on the other, a teen with a big grin wearing a straw hat and from the corner is a content looking old man with a teacup and beside him is a silver haired male with a snake wrapped around his neck like a scarf. Photo was taken just outside the manor and each other wearing distinct uniforms for different jobs such as maid, butler, gardener and cook. They looked so happy yet looking at it closely there is underlying sadness in their eyes.

She wondered if they were Ciel's friends or family all but blood.

Disregarded food packaging lay beside not too far from them. All three sign in content.

Lifting her fingers up towards the sky, the blue crystal embedded on her ring spark brightly. She was utterly speechless from Ciel's gesture. Never in wildest dreams she would find her destined other half. When she thought there was no reason to stay with the living any longer, her mate showed up. Bring life in her, giving her something to look forward to. Also for once in her life she would be selfish and make her loved ones wait just a little longer on the other side.

Bella was brought out of her day dreams when she heard of a rustle in the bushes and Pluto started growling, ears twitching from the slightest noise. Jinx wasn't also far behind who stood guard in front of her hissing .

Across the field was a vampire. His pale skin and ruby eyes stood out from the shadows. One blink was all it took before he disappeared from their sight.

But before the unknown vampire was able to touch a single strand of her hair he was sent flying to the other side of the meadow.

"Laurennt?" asked Bella, wide eyed.

In front of her was Laurennt, his amber eyes darkening as he glared at the crimson eyed vampire in front of him.

The nameless vampire crouched low and ready for another attack. Laurennt followed, eyes darting from side to side just incase the vampire in front of them wasn't alone.

With a roar the nameless vampire charge. With a feint to the left he tried to go around the ember eyed vampire. Unfortunately his moves was predicted and was put into hold, his arms pulled back while Laurent's leg was pressing into the vampires back making him kneel.

Pulling slowly, the vampire's arms cracked to the joint. Just a hard pull and it sever it from the body.

Before he could utter a word a thundering growl that echoed across the meadow. Both froze for it didn't sound like a vampires or any creature they had encountered before.

Looking at the destination they first looked into a giant wolf beside the brunette since they doubt the growl came from the human. However they were very wrong. The silver wolf looked calm so as the human beside them.

Bella rolled her eyes and point at something in front of her.

They followed the pointed finger and looked at …...a kitten with twin tails. The growl was coming from the small creature. Their eyes widen as each step it took forward, it grew into something slightly smaller if not same size as the silver wolf . Claws protrude out of its thick fur embedding it to the ground below. Its twin tails lash violently, eyes narrowed and two yellow horns extrude from the top of it's head.

Startled at the monster in front of them Laurennt let go at the nameless vampire. His mind screamed danger and run as far as possible.

It seemed that the nameless vampire was thinking the same thought that he tried to flee only to get pounced on by the feline and immobilized by relieving him with his legs and arms.

Walking slowly Bella stood beside her friend and stroke his fur. Enticing a rumbling purr.

She asked calmly.

"Who are you and what is your purpose?."

A snarl answered her question.

Jinx didn't like the sparkle's attitude towards his friend and dug his claw further into the vampire's chest making him scream.

"You have two options. One you could answer me and ill end your miserable existence quickly or two, make you suffer that you would think hell is heaven."

"You! You killed my mate ! " he growled. "You will pay for it !"

Bella let a sigh and rest her head on Jinx's fur. She asked the heavens, "Why me…?"

"Your mate is James? But I thought it was icky Vicky?"

"No. My mate is Victoria!"

"Ah. Not that important then." Patting Jinx she gave the go signal.

In no time the nameless vampire was no more and in its place was a bonfire.

It's death seemed to snap Laurennt of his frozen state, he turned and asked Bella.

"I received a message from Victoria about plotting a revenge against you, not long after she had found out James was no more. She asked me to help her..."

Sitting back next Pluto she pat an empty space beside her. Jinx had gone back to his original form and laid on top of pluto.

"Seeing as you are here and I didn't see you with her and have yellow eyes, you declined her offer."

"You're right. I didn't want any part with it. I went to Alaska to start a new life. Being with James and Victoria was always filled with blood and violence. I don't want to live my life like that."

"I see. Well Victoria had tried to get to me but thanks to the tribe of shape shifters they mostly stopped her attempts."

"Where were the Cullens?."

She let out a hollow laugh. "Some family they are. It was right after my disastrous birthday that the up and left without so much of a decent good bye. Then when everything was going well, Vicky struck. I had found the body of my love ones surrounded in the pool of their blood and a single note. "

"But...surely the mid reader or any of the family members for that matter would had known that Victoria might come back for revenge?. Losing the other half your soul will bring anyone to a path of grief, anger and vengeance. "

"Well clearly they didn't pay attention to that particular detail. Nevertheless what is done, is done. I for one is looking forward my special thank you for not stopping Vicky. "

"Thank you? What do you mean?."

"So many ideas but so little time. Worry not about it. Anyway what are you doing here in Britain?."

"When I stumbled into Alaska I had crossed paths with a vegetarian coven. The Denali coven, it consist of mated pair Eleazar and carmen and Three un mated sisters; Irina, Tanya and kate. They are cousins to the Cullens. Many say they are like the their cousin but they are not. They live high up in the mountains, away from civilisation and never socialise with humans unless it was necessary. It's where I also meet my mate, Irina. Not too long ago they voted for a change of scenery so we packed and left Alaska."

"I guess congratulations are in order."

"Thank you."

For a few more min they sat in silence.

"Are they here?" she asked.

He shook his head. "No, but they will be arriving within a month."

"Will you say something to them?"

"No, unless you want me to little one."

"Thank you."

"How did you find me anyway?"

"I was out hunting few miles from here when I smelt a vampire going to this direction. I was curious and followed it."

A buzzing sound came from his pocket. Taking out his phone he read the message.

"Its from my mate, she's wondering where I am. I guess it's time to part again Isabella. I hope we can meet again in better circumstances."

She smiled and shook his hand. "True but knowing me I doubt it will happen."

Laurennt was almost at the edge at the forest when he spoke with uncertainty.

"Isabella...is it possible to speak to my mate about this? I don't like keeping anything from her. Unknown to the Cullens especially to the mind reader the Denali's had learn to keep anything important memories or thoughts underneath false or unrelated ones. They had started doing it long ago when the boy was getting in their nerves, he never respect other's private thoughts. I for one don't know how the rest of the family stand him. Therefore you have nothing to worry about him finding anything out."

With a small giggle she replied. "Sure but only her and once I am done with them you can freely to the other coven members."

"You have my word little one." And with the vampire left.

Seconds had passed when she spoke, this time it wasn't directed to her two furry companions but to the shadowed figure behind her.

"Was there anything you need Sebastian?."

"No my lady. I was just here to inform you that Master has arrived and dinner will be serve shortly."

"Thank you Sebastian. The fire is almost out and its getting cold, we will start making our way back. "

With a bow the raven haired butler disappeared in the shadows.

"Huh. The vampire didn't tell me his name in the end." she shrug. "Oh well."

She kept on walking until something she remembered. "He…..he called me little one !"
