Shippos Son

"Wait a second!" Kazuki said when over hearing the conversation. "You don't happen to be related to Shippo, do you?"

"Yeah... He's my father." Suzuki replied casually.

Everyone was listening to the conversation now.

"You can't be though... Mum and Dad told us that Shippo was way younger than them..."

"Oh yeah... there's a story behind that..." Suzuki said clearing his throat; apparently it was going to be a long story.

"When my father was young... I think he said he was in his teens or something. He was starving and in the middle of nowhere and he happened to come across a witches home and he asked her for some of her food. But she was wicked and cruel and turned him away, but my father was desperate and when she wasn't looking he snuck into her house and stole some of her food anyway. He had no choice because if he didn't he would have starved to death. Then she found out and as punishment she put a spell on him and made him age about 10 years, so he would 'miss the best years of his youth' she had said... My father went from being a teen to a fully grown adult in minutes. Years later he went looking for the witch to make her lift the spell from him but she had already been slain before he got the chance, therefore it made the spell unbreakable. It did take about a few years after he was cursed before his mental maturity caught up to his physical age. Father said that it was one of the craziest things that had happened to him! But it was a good thing in the end, otherwise he would have never been old enough to marry my mother and then I would have never been born!"

"Did Shippo ever mention our dad or mum" Amaya asked.

"He did mention Inuyasha and Kagome... He also always tells me that I am nothing like him or mum and that I am more like some guy named Miroku."

"That's our dad!" Yuko and Sen exclaimed together.

Suzuki looked at them surprised. "So... everyone here is related to my father's old companions?"

"Yeah well Amaya and I are the kids of Kagome and Inuyasha. Sen and Yuko are the kids of Sango and Miroku, and Shushu is Kiraras son."

Suzuki looked at Kazuki amazed.

"And Nira happens to be Sesshomarus daughter. Did Shippo mention him?"

"Oh yeah, he's Inuyashas older brother right? All father said was that Sesshomaru is a pretty scary guy."

"Yeah that would be about right." Everyone mused together.

"So we're becoming the next generation of demon fighters?" Yuko pondered.

"Pretty much!" Kazuki smirked. "But is that such a bad thing?"

"Besides." Suzuki began. "It means I get to stay close to my dear Nira."

Niras head snapped around to look at Suzuki before she punched him in the face sending him flying off his chair.

"I think he has no regard for his life..." Sen said looking down at the unconscious Suzuki.

The next day Amaya went and trained with Totosai again to practice using less force when wielding the Tetsusaiga. This time she used the wind scar several times before Totosai was satisfied with her days work.

"You're getting the hang of it Amaya. Well done!" Totosai praised as they were walking back to the village.

Just before Amaya had the chance to say thank you they heard a large uproar in the village.

When they came out of the narrow path leading away from the training valleys they saw a lot of people panicking and running around.

"WHAT HE HELL IS GOING ON HERE!?" Amaya yelled, but no one would answer.

A large black demon was tearing up the village; it was roaring and bellowing furiously. Amaya told Totosai to stay where he was while she took a closer look. The beasts golden eyes were sharp and searching hastily around the village.

Yuko and Sen noticed Amaya and bolted toward her.

"WHAT THE HELL IS THAT THING?" Amaya demanded.

"You're not going to believe this!" Sen began. "But that's Nira!"

"Wait, WHAT?"

"I don't know what happened but Suzuki was pestering her again and suddenly she just transforms into this huge black dog demon and starts tearing up the village!"

Amaya stared at the rampaging demon in disbelief. "B-b-but she's a HALF demon! She shouldn't be able to transform..."

"We have to stop her before she completely destroys the village!" Yuko said urgently.

"Okay we need ropes!" Sen agreed.

"I don't think that will do any good. Just look at her she's huge!" Amaya replied.

"I don't know but we- wait what happened?" Sen cut off her sentence because Nira suddenly disappeared.

The three of them ran frantically towards where they had last seen Nira and found her laying in the middle of the path unconscious.

"Well... at least she transformed back..." Yuko said uncertainly.

Amaya ran over to her cousin and lifted her up. "We have to take her to a doctor... She doesn't look well at all!" Yuko and Sen looked at Nira. Her forehead was suddenly burning up and she looked sickly.

Koga ran up behind Amaya and demanded that he know what happened to his village. After they explained everything he said.

"No she shouldn't be able to transform. It must have put a lot of strain on her body! Here let me take her to a doctor immediately!" Amaya gave Nira to him and he ran off.

"So... where's Suzuki... You don't think she...?" Yuko said nervously.

"No, she can't have otherwise she would have stopped rampaging... right?" Sen replied.

They gathered Hotaka, Kazuki and Tanaka to help them find Suzuki.

"Here he is!" Hotaka called to the others and Suzuki was lying under a pile of rubble, shaking.

"Well NOW YOU DID IT YOU IDIOT!" Kazuki grabbed Suzuki by the collar and lifted his fist up. "NOW THANKS TO YOU HALF THE VILLAGE IS DESTROYED AND NIRAS COULD BE SICK!"

Suzuki gave no answer and began to tear up.

That afternoon the doctor came to them and told everybody that Nira was very ill and would need to rest for about a week.

"You've done it this time!" Kazuki kept growling at Suzuki. "Why didn't you just leave her alone! Can't you take a hint you mangy fox?"

Kazuki decided that it was time for him to write a reply letter to his mother Kagome and he couldn't exactly leave out what had happened.

"Dear Mum,

We are all fine, and Amayas training has been good, and she performed the wind scar on her first try.

Yes Nira is with us and you might want to tell 'dear Uncle Sesshomaru' that today she completely lost it, turned into a giant dog and destroyed half the village, and tried to kill us!

And no she is not alright... She's become ill because, I donno, maybe it's because she's a half demon and isn't supposed to do that!

Did Sesshomaru even know she would be able to transform? Please ask him for me will you?

On a positive note, she's thrilled to be a big sister.

Just before Kazuki had the chance to fold the letter up and send it Amaya had read it over his shoulder.

"YOU CAN'T SEND HER THAT! Sesshomaru will KILL US!"

"Yeah well he kinda needs to know don't ya think?"

Amaya paused for a moment and realised that Kazuki was right.

"Ohhhh He's not gonna like this!"

"Well too bad!" Kazuki replied while tying the letter to a messenger bird. Amaya watched eerily as it flew away... 'I wonder how he's going to react.' She pondered to herself.
