Suzuki's Sorrow
Every day since Nira became ill Amaya noticed that Suzuki took every chance he could get to go in and see her when Sesshomaru wasn't there. He even placed a vase with a few flowers by her bed and asked Amaya to tell Sesshomaru that it was her if he asks.
Amaya watched Suzuki in secret when he went to visit Nira. He was so upset with himself and always stared at her with teary eyes. He never meant for something like this to happen to her. If Suzuki knew that his flirting would result in HER being injured in any way he would have left her alone.
On the fourth day of Nira being sick Suzuki went to one of the masters of the village to train him. Suzuki already had a special power which was his super speed, which of course is how he had caught up to the gang so quickly in the first place the day they first met. He wanted to improve his powers any way he could.
"I did this to her you know, Amaya." He confessed. "And because of that I am going to do whatever it takes to protect her!"
Amaya looked at him surprised. She never realised that Suzuki could ever be serious about Nira since in her eyes he was just a flirt. But for some reason he seemed to be becoming more and more attached to her cousin.
But on one faithful day, the sixth day of Nira being sick, Sesshomaru came in to find Suzuki sitting beside her bed.
"Who are you and what are you doing here?" Sesshomaru demanded icily.
Suzuki looked up at Sesshomaru terrified. This was the demon that his father had told him about.
"Oh-S-sorry I-i-m Suzuki, Sir."
Sesshomaru glared at him. "I see guilt in your eyes."
Suzuki said nothing and stared at him terrified.
"Are-you-the-one-who-did-this-to-her...?" His eyes widened, and Suzuki had never seen any demon look more terrifying.
Suzuki didn't know what to do; if he lied it would be obvious anyway so be fell to the floor bowing at Sesshomarus feet.
"I DIDN'T MEAN TO!" He confessed. "I-i-i made h-her angry and d-didn't realise the consequences!" His body began to shake because he heard Sesshomaru give no reply, so he continued hesitantly. "If you spare me I will serve you and I promise to protect your daughter!"
A storm of dust sped past Kazuki and blinded him as the dirt hit his eyes. "What the hell was THAT?" He exclaimed before seeing his uncle Sesshomaru chasing the stream of dust as if he was a mad man hunting his dinner.
The stream of dust went around the village and passed Kazuki again screaming with Sesshomaru still hot on its trail.
"Wait..." Kazuki pondered. "Was that... OH CRAP!" He yelled before chasing after them too.
"SHUSHU!" He yelled at the fluffy sabre-toothed demon who was happily grooming himself in the sunlight. "COME OVER HERE QUICK!" Shushu looked up curiously and then flew over to him. Kazuki hopped on his back and ordered him to follow Sesshomaru.
They flew high above the valleys and saw Suzukis stream of dust swirling all over the place. "Dam he's fast!" Kazuki commented, yet despite this Sesshomaru wasn't far behind Suzuki. He guessed this was because Sesshomaru gained some sort of insane adrenaline from being so furious.
Before long Suzuki stopped thinking about where he was going and accidentally cornered himself. Shushu flew down as fast as he could and arrived to the ground just before Sesshomaru caught up.
Kazuki got off Shushus back and stood in between Sesshomaru and Suzuki.
He looked into his Uncles eyes and had never seen them with such a crazed look before! Sesshomaru was always a calm and collected person whose subtle glare could kill anyone but now he looked like a rampaging bull that saw Suzuki wearing red.
"Sesshomaru...?" Kazuki said cautiously.
Sesshomaru kept rushing from one side to the other of Kazuki to find an opening.
"Think about this Sesshomaru... What is killing him going to achieve?"
His uncle glared at Kazuki before turning into a huge white dog.
"Get-OUT-of-the-way-Kazuki!" He growled through his teeth.
"NO!"
"GET OUT OF THE WAY!"
"NO SESSHOMARU!"
Sesshomaru became more and more tense as the time went past.
"If you want him, YOU HAVE TO GO THROUGH ME!"
Sesshomaru glared into Kazukis eyes maliciously and then transformed back.
"Fine, have it your way!" He hissed before walking away.
Kazuki was surprised; he had expected Sesshomaru to put up a bigger fight than that, but then shrugged and turned to Suzuki.
"You owe me big time you mangy fox!"
