Chapter 2:
*Artemia's POV*
"Come on Flair!" I called out to the sister who is making us late for our brunch date. "We're running late!"
"I'm almost done Hart!"
I sigh at this. Whenever a cute guy ask her out, she will take forever for something so simple. All of a sudden, my cell phone rings. It's my other sister Danika (Morning Star). She's been my best friend since high school. I miss her terribly since has a busy schedule of having two jobs, being a waitress and a single mother. Even with she's lives close to the Hart-Flair Household.
"Hello," I greeted.
"Hey sister," I hear a weak tone of her voice.
"Hey, are you alright?" I asked, worried.
Just recently, Danika has been sick with cancer and I am the closest 'relative' since she lost her parents at a young age. Also Danika have problems with other relatives.
"I'm fine, well I'm still bald."
"That's normal for the medicine."
"I know, but the doctor's really concern about the condition because she noticed that it's not improving."
"Really?" I asked, not wanting to cry.
"Umm, I've been thinking of something important."
"What is it Big Sister?"
"If something does happen, can you adopt Feronia?"
Feronia (goddess associated with wildlife, fertility, health and abundance) is her five year old daughter who I only seen her baby pictures.
"Are you sure Big Sister?"
"I'm really sure."
"Okay I'll adopt her."
"Thank you Little Sister," she coughs a little. "Bye."
"See yea, stay gold please," I hanged up, with a little cloud of depression float above me.
"I'm ready!" Adrienne calls, coming over to me with a huge grin.
"Let's go!" I said, grabbing her wrist.
*Roman's POV*
Dean and I are wearing some casual dressy wear, like black jeans and a collared dress shirt. He's wearing a white one as I am wearing a dark gray one. We called ahead of time for a table with the girls.
"Why did you asked them to brunch again?" I asked as we got to the table.
"Hey it just came out!" Dead answers quickly. "I was going to ask Adrienne out, but I didn't know it'll be all four of us."
"You're just lucky that you're my best friend or I would have destroyed you."
"Yea, yea."
Then something, or someone catches my eye. It's Artemia, wearing a very cute casual outfit. Black over-sized shirt with leggings and knee high boots. Also her dark gray bag completes her outfit. Her hair is just like when she wrestles in the ring, but her makeup is different. I believe it's the Grunge look makeup, but still it's quite beautiful on her. Somehow Artemia's signature dark cherry lips are kissable looking to me, like I wanna taste them against mine. God, she's so beautiful.
"Hey guys!" Adrienne says cheery with her signature ruby red lips, wearing a red dress and black boots.
"What's up?" Artemia greeted.
"Hi Adrienne," Dean smiles shyly.
"Hey Artemia," I smiled to her.
She smiles that beautiful smile. I helped her with her seat across from me. We ordered our drinks. Adrienne and Dean ordered root beer as Artemia and I ordered coke.
"Where are you girls from?" Dean asked, starting the conversation.
"We were born in Los Angeles, CA so California has always been a special place to our hearts," Artemia answers.
"Don't forget we are also raised there as well," Adrienne added.
"That is true."
"But doesn't Ric lives in North Carolina?" Dean asked. "And Bret Hart lives in Canada?"
"Well Mommy was just a girlfriend that Daddy had who is from Los Angeles," Adrienne says.
"While Daddy is out wrestling," Artemia speaks up "we will go back and forth with Canada and Los Angeles."
"That's cool," I smile to her.
"What's your names mean?" Dean asked "I have heard of your names before."
"Oh Adrienne means dark lady lady of the sea," the long blond haired girl smiles cheery. "It's quite flattering because I love dark colors and I'm so water girl."
"What does Artemia mean?" I asked still smiling to her, wondering as well.
"Goddess of the moon and hunting," she answers, being proud of her name. "I was born under the full moon, also I'm planning on buying a crossbow when I get the time for it."
"That's wonderful," I flirted with her.
She giggles a little. Wow, that's so cute!
Our waitress comes back with our drinks and took our food orders. We are going back and forth of talking, getting to know each other. Things were going great until Adrienne asks a question to Artemia. "Oh Big Sister," she says to her. "How's Older Sister doing?"
It started her a little before speaking, "I'll be right back" in a rather sad tone of voice. She stands on her feet and went straight towards where the restroom are.
"Is she okay?" I asked, worried.
"Maybe I shouldn't have ask that," Adrienne says, realizing what's going on.
"Something wrong?" Dean asked.
"Sorry, Older Sister is a year older than Big Sister. We have known Danika since high school. Think of her like our Seth Rollins before he betrayed you guys. Older sister has *whispers cancer*."
"Yikes!" I exclaimed as Dean's eyes widen.
"Yea I'll go and see if things are alright."
Adrienne stands up from her seat and walk over to the restroom.
*Adrienne's POV*
In the women's restroom, I can hear faint crying sounds from one of the stolls. Artemia only cries when she's feeling pain from her heart. Putting two and two together, Older Sister isn't doing so well.
"Big Sister?" I asked, knocking on the door. "Are you okay?"
She didn't answer at first, but just opening the door to look at me. Tears are running down her pale face. "I'm sorry Little Sister," she manages to say in a love voice.
Good thing that there's no one here or else, this will be very embarrassing.
"It's okay Big Sister." I get her out of the stoll and fixed her makeup with the help of our traveling makeup bag. "Are you going to tell me what's going on?"
"Okay."
Soon her makeup is fixed, but you can see the white parts of her eyes are slightly pink, but not so noticeable. We head back to the table where the guys notice us and our food is ready.
"Are you alright Artemia?" Roman asked her worried for her.
"I'm fine Joe." She sits back down with me following the suite. "Danika has stage four cancer and it's not improving," she says to everyone, which made me gasp. "She has a five year old daughter which she knows that she might be unable to take care of her anymore. So Big Sister asked me personally if something does happen, I'm going to be her daughter's mother."
Silence appears at the table. Danika and Artemia are really close because Big Sister met Older Sister first, but of course not as close with me. There's nothing wrong with that since Older Sister is awesome.
"Well," I said, trying to smile to cheer her up. "At least you can be a mother. You always wanted to be a mother."
"If the good Lord will bless me with the child then yes."
Then I noticed Roman placing his hand on her pale hand like he's comforting her. They smile each other softly. It's so cute!
