Chapter 4:
*Artemia's POV*
Dinner will be burgers grilling on the grill that we have outside in the backyard. I thought that having an outdoor BBQ will be perfect for Joe meeting Big Daddy. I bet Joe will love it if I was the cook grilling the burgers. Around sunset, I recieved a text from Joe that he has arrive to the household.
The burgers are under the hood to cook for a few minutes so I can greet Joe. At the door, Joe has his dreamy smile on his face as he wore his casual dark clothing that makes him so handsome and sexy.
"Hey Joe," I smiled to him.
"Hey Artemia," he smiles, pulling out a small bouquet of black and lavender roses to me. "For you."
"Awwww Joe, they're so beautiful!" I gleam, taking them. "They're my favorite flowers."
"So your name is Joe huh?" Big Daddy comes over to us being the Hitman he is.
"Well Joe is a nickname."
"Oh really?"
"Well burgers are grilling outside if we all can have it out in the yard if you guys like," I suggested, heading out to the yard.
*Roman's POV*
"So what is your full name?" Bret Hart asked, making talk with me.
"Well my full name is Leati Joseph Anoa'i."
"The Anoa'i family huh?"
"Yea that's my family."
"Well Joe," he says to me "do you like my daughter?"
That question startled me a little. "What kind of like sir?"
"You know what kind of like I'm talking about," he's serious with me.
I paused for a second before answering, "Yes I do like your daughter, I might be in love with her."
"Well by the way she has been talking about you, she might feel the same way," he smiles.
"Really?"
"Yes."
"Dinner's ready!" Artemia calls out from the backyard.
"Coming my little moon," Bret says for the both of us.
*Adrienne's POV*
Since Joe is meeting Hitman, I head out to be with Jonathan. First impressions are important for parents so it'll be weird with me being there. The meeting spot with Jonathan locates at the park where Dean Ambrose awaits for me.
"Hey there stranger," I greeted with a smile.
"Well hello there pretty lady," he grats with that dreamy smile of his.
"What are we doing to do tonight?"
"Wanna go out to dinner?"
"Sure, nothing too big through."
"Alright sounds good."
He's a gentleman to me as I get into his car. Subway came to my mind for dinner which he agrees. Whenever Artemia and I go out to fast food, we always go to Subway or Jersey Mike's. Dean continues being a gentleman when he orders for me along with his. A soft smile appears on my face when he's doing that. He's so sweet.
"So," he speaks, placing our food on the table. "What's with just us hanging out tonight?"
"Artemia's Daddy wants to meet Joe," I smiled to him.
"Hitman himself?" Dean was surprised.
"Yes, because of their closeness."
"Oh I see."
"Yes."
"Well, what does your dad think about me?" he questioned.
"I haven't spoke to Daddy in a little while, but I did remember him asking if it's okay to meet you because of our closeness."
"Awe."
Silence raises up when we continue eating. It's not that we didn't have anything else to say, it's just we're nervous to speak to each other. I can tell because he has a slight blush on his face. Quite frankly, there's an identical blush on my face.
Once done eating, Dean takes me to the cemetery! "How did you know I love cemeteries?" I asked, smiling big.
"Well Artemia once told me that you girls go to the cemetery after Sunday service." I couldn't help, but smile more to him. "Would you like to dance?"
"I would love to," I answered.
Dean and I begin to dance under my favorite moon, the crescent moon. It actually make everything more special. We dance and dance the whole night away. I didn't feel any pain from my feet because I was so focus on the man I am with. At each touch, a weird feeling will come inside my stomach, but I didn't care. Dark eyes meets with mine in a loving glance. My head places itself on his chest since I'm so short compare to him. Everything's so perfect.
"Umm, maybe we should stop for the night," Dean speaks suddenly.
No matter how much I wanna stay, I must head back home before midnight.
"Thanks for the night," I thanked him, when we arrived at the house.
"You're welcome, ummm," he went all nervous again. "Are you doing anything next Friday?"
"None that I can think of, why?"
"Will you accompany me on a date?" Dean asked me nervously.
My eyes widen when he asked that, but a huge smile appears on my face, "yes I would love to!"
"Really? Uhh great," he smiles big. "See yea."
"Bye."
I notice that both Joe's car and Hitman's ride isn't here anymore so I ran inside excited to tell Big Sister the big news.
*Artemia's POV*
"Big Sister! Big Sister!" my little sister repeats, with a huge grin on her face.
"What is it Little Sister?" I asked calmly, with a smile.
Adrienne finally takes a deep breath before answering calmly, "Big Sister, Jonathan asked me out on a date next Friday."
My eyes widen in surprise before joining with her squealing, "I'm so proud of you Little Sister!"
"But what if its fancy?" she asks, looking at me in worry now.
"Girl," I smiled, "you're talking to the fashionista of our group. I know the perfect look for both casual and fancy."
"Really? Thank you girl!"
"Tomorrow during we are out for brunch, we'll go shopping."
"Thank you Big Sister."
Today's Sunday meaning Sunday service. The main clothing that I wear for church is a black dress that is short with leggings underneath also with long sleeves. When going to church, the makeup must be at a minimum because of the heavy makeup I usually wear. Plain and simple mascara and black eyeliner with clear gloss.
Adrienne has the same look as I do, but with a red dress. With our black Mary Jane's on our feet, we headed out to my jeep. Our bibles and picnic basket are in the backseat of my jeep. Christian music plays through the speakers along the way there.
"Do you think that Pastor David can help us with the situation?" Adrienne asked me.
"I sure hope so," I speak. "He's our biggest fan and he's the understanding type."
Pastor David watches wrestling of all sorts as if it's part of the religion. We know him personally because he was living in Los Angeles, CA around the time we were. He moved to the church here close to the arena because of us.
"Excuse me miss?" Adrienne asked the lady at front desk. "Can you tell us where Pastor David is?"
"Oh he's at the office right now before the service begins," she answers. "It's located by the chapel."
"Thank you miss," I thanked her, before leaving with Adrienne.
I knock on the door to get a response. "Come in." We enter with smiles to our favorite Pastor. "Why Artemia and Adrienne!" he smiles to us, giving us hugs. "My favorite Divas in the whole universe."
"Morning Pastor David," we greeted him, hugging back.
"What shall I do for you ladies today?"
"Pastor," I speak for both of us. "We are in a weird situation."
"Oh?" he got serious. "What is it my dear?"
"Our dear friend Danika has stage four cancer and it's not improving. Doctors believe that she won't make it. Her dying wish is for me to adopt her precious lamb if that does happen."
Pastor David pauses for a few moments, looking down to his hands before looking up to us with a soft smile, "well we shall pray for her health and happiness when she goes to Heaven. Also I shall blessed the lamb when you are officially the mother."
"Bless you Pastor David," Adrienne smiles to him.
"You're very welcome ladies."
Sunday service has gone by as schedule as Adrienne and I head out off the grounds. The cemetery is still there as we always left it the week prior. Once there, I got out the basket and blanket and walk over to our spot. A tree on one side of the cemetery next to a row of tombstones.
Adrienne holds onto the basket as I spread the blanket out on the grassy grounds. Shoes are taken off as we lay on it. Silence is between us. I got out the food and table setting to set the blanket for us. Our hands hold together as we bow our heads.
"Heavenly Lord of God," I whispered. "We ask for you to have our sister Danika to find happiness. For that, we will have you decide on how her happiness will appear. We also ask for you to help protect Little Feronia of how's things are going to go. We only ask for these things Lord. And for that, we thank you. In Jesus's name, amen."
"Amen," Adrienne whispered.
Even eating is silent as well. Adrienne and I were basically talking through our eyes because we don't know what to say, until she couldn't take it anymore, "Alright Big Sister, what do you feel about all of this?"
"What's the point Little Sister," I finally spoke out. "Danika is most likely going to find happiness in Heaven and Feronia is going to be under my custody."
"What's the point? What's the point?" she asked out of anger, standing up looking down at me. "You always wanted to be a mother and Feronia's the closest one of you having a child right now. Sure Danika is going to Heaven at a young age, but maybe this is a message from the Lord for you wanting a child."
My head bowed, trying to get everything in. Maybe Adrienne is right. Maybe all of this happened for me to have a child now.
"What will the child look like?" I asked in a low voice.
"Wha'cha mean Big Sister?" she asked, sitting back down.
"I only saw one picture of the child as a baby, but I don't know what she looks like now."
"Well let's think about it."
I took a big gulp of my soda before responding, "How so?"
"Well Danika has dark brown hair and mocha skin and big black eyes."
"She's petite like us Little Sister."
"Yes I know. What does the father look like again?"
"Mark has the same peach color as you Little Sister with black hair and I believe he had gray eyes or icy blue."
"So if the child has tan skin, but a little on the pale side and black hair and possibly gray eyes. Also petite like us."
"Okay, okay Little Sister, I know where you are going. If the child is a combination of Danika and Mark, there's a huge possibly that Feronia will look like Joe and I."
"So you do get where I am going," she smirks at me.
I just shook my head with a smirk.
Adrienne and I head towards our favorite store in town after Sunday brunch. The store is more into downtown a little far from the cemetery, but it has all of the amazing clothing in our style.
"I'm so nervous Big Sister," my blondie sister says, nervously.
I chuckled, while driving my jeep, "It's a simple date with the guy of your dreams. You're going to have a dinner and talk to get know each other."
"Oh come on, how would you feel if Joe ask you out?" she looks at me annoyed.
"I wouldn't be nervous."
"Really?"
"Until he's on his way to pick me up!"
We both laugh at this before settling down.
"Yea, you're right," she smiles. "Are you going to find something as well?"
"If they have something cute, I'll get it."
"I'm dying to see what are going to pick out for me," Adrienne gleamed, when we got inside.
"Just wait inside the dressing room and I'll get you some clothes," I smiled.
"Okay thank you sis."
We pull ourselves into a huge before going our separate ways. My first instinct is to find the dress. Her favorite color's red so this will be good, but she doesn't want the same dress that she already has. I take my search for the most prettiest red dress of the whole store. Upon my return with the dress and extra stuff, I speak to her, "I've got the outfit sis."
"Thank you sis," she says, taking the outfit and hide into the dressing room.
While waiting for the gothic model to come out, my cell rings Roman's theme, signaling me that it's Roman calling me.
"Hello," I greeted.
"Hey Artemia," he greets back.
"Hey Joe," I smile. "What' up?"
"Jonathan is driving me insane."
"How so?"
"He finally asked the girl of his dreams and couldn't stop saying it."
"Adrienne is more nervous than excited."
"Really?"
"Yea, we're shopping for her outfit."
"That's nice, umm what are you doing next Saturday?"
"None that I can think of, may I ask why?"
"I was wondering if you wanna go on a date with me."
My eyes widen with a smile. With a blush heating up my face, "I would love to Joe."
"Awesome. Does eleven o'clock in the morning sound good?"
"That'll be nice."
"Okay, see you later."
"See yea," I said before hanging up.
"Did I hear my big sister get asked out?" Adrienne asked with a smile, finally walking out of the dressing room.
"Yes I did, Joe asked me out," I giggled a little.
"Congratulations," she gleams.
"Thank you sis and you are totally rocking in that dress."
The dress is a strapless red dress that went down to her knees with a sheer light red skirt over it in a flowy wear. By the smile on her face, she loves it.
