Chapter 5

Alice POV

Present day

A lot of time has passed since that night when my whole life changed it was good bye Alice the girl nobody liked or understood and hello Alice Salvatore the girl everyone feared. Elijah taught me many things like how to control my cravings and how to use my new found powers to my advantage. Most people think that becoming a vampire means ending your life but for me it was the start of a new wonderful life. Let's just say in time I discovered more about myself I am not just your average vampire because somehow the impossible happened. It happened not so long ago I remember it like it was yesterday.

Flashback

There I was in Italy Rome to be precise carrying out some business for Elijah. All of a sudden I felt intense pain in my head I was laying on the floor in agony until a group of witches appeared in front of me they then took me back to some old dark damp cottage. They gathered around me I think they were performing some kind of spell what with all the chanting they were doing. With no warning the chanting stopped. A tall woman that was standing closest to me with her old wrinkled features and white hair approached me and said.

"Young vampire in order to keep nature in balance we had to perform a spell" in one of those raspy voices.

"What do you mean? "These witches could have done any manner of things to me I thought worriedly.

"There will be a hybrid baby born in some time so in order to keep the balance there has to be a vampire child one who could withstand the bite" she continued.

"But that's not possible you're not saying that "I said slowly.

"Yes your pregnant Alice with a very powerful child at that "the old women said.

I don't remember anything after that but somehow I ended up back at my house.

End of Flashback.

Since that happened the impossible really (or so I thought) happened I decided to go look for answers I came to one conclusion New Orleans that would be the place to go since my sire Elijah is there. He is also not alone is brother Klaus and sister Rebecca are there also I mean they are original vampires the three of them are at least a thousand years old so hopefully they will be the ones who will have the answers to my questions.

So now I set off on the most nerve racking journey of my life from Rome to America while pregnant on yeah the joys but it has to be done. I just hope I don't cross paths with my brothers Stefan and Damon. They even now always choose love over family I reunion with them … well let's just say it wouldn't be pretty

Flashback

A couple of months after I was changed I was still with Elijah learning how to control my cravings I begged Elijah to take me back to Mystic Falls I wanted to know how my brothers are doing. When I finally arrived back to Mystic Falls I saw her Katherine Pierce and that everyone was the start of my brothers' troubles,

She had long brown ringlets following down from her porcelain face she was the picture of innocence but I could see right through her. Too bad my brothers only realized this when I was too late. I hoped for them that since I couldn't grow old and have kid at least i could gaze in wonder at my brother's happiness. That complete monster Katherine ruined my family even now my brothers still hate each other. She didn't just destroy them each emotionally she destroyed my chance for us to be a family again.

End of Flashback.

I was now in New Orleans this place had so much history the streets and small little shops never seemed to change. I soon arrived at French quarter the place where the originals will be.

I was now standing in front of the compound the very place where they lived in for now anyways. I looked into the windows and saw Rebecca dressed to impress as always with Elijah in his usual dashing suit

"Hello Alice what brings you here?" said Rebecca while walking towards me.

"Becks I have some surprising news" I said looking her in the eye.

"Alice what happened" said Elijah

"I know that this is impossible but you have to believe me" I said with a worried tone.

"Alice come on just tell us "said Rebecca in a sincere tone

"Well I … am pregnant" I stuttered come no Alice at least have some class I mentally scolded myself.
