Chapter 6:
*Artemia's POV*
Seven o'clock rings the most annoying sound ever on my alarm clock. Ugh, I really don't wanna get out this early on a Saturday, but I must. My morning routine goes by on schedule as I get out of my restroom with my purple bathrobe and a black towel around my head.
I look through my closet to find an outfit for the day. The outfit I decided to wear is a black top with sheer where my shoulders and the top of my chest is also all of my arms and black mini skirt. Knowing both Joe and Adrienne, Joe rarely sees me in a skirt and Adrienne wore a dress for her date. I dried my pale body so I can put on my black undergarments with leggings that looks like ripped lines down to my ankles. My hair's ready as I begin doing my makeup. This time my makeup's going to be dark gray/black eyeshadow with black eyeliner and my lips are black as the night. I do love my lips black cherry, but maybe Joe will really want me with black lips.
My dangling onyx earrings hangs down from my ears as I put on my black watch on my left wrist. I look at myself in the full length mirror before heading out to the living room. It's only nine o'clock so I decided to make the remaining time useful. Like my cell phone still connected to my phone charges like the night before. Get my purple purse ready filled with makeup (in case), money in my wallet, and my water bottle filled with water. I place the hair clip in my hair like Joe requested. My breakfast for today is a couple of homemade pancakes and some bacon. Also some orange juice. Knowing that we are going to the local zoo, I need to keep my body energize until lunch comes. I quickly wrote a note for Adrienne telling her that I will be with Roman. She will sleep in until noon on the weekends.
By ten o'clock, I put away the dishes in the dishwasher and watch some tv before he gets here. While watching the television, my nerves are going crazy. Am I getting nervous? Well I did say that I'll be nervous when he's on his way, but I don't know if he's on his way or not. Maybe that it's ticking down to eleven o'clock is making me nervous.
Before I know it, as if time is going slow, the door gets knocked at eleven. I put on my socks so I can put on my sneakers.
"Hey Joe," I greeted when I saw it is him at the door.
"Hey Artemia," he greets back with his dreamy smile. "Ready to go?"
"I just need my shoes on and I'll be ready."
My feet are slipped in my shoes and my purse hangs over my shoulder. The door is locked up as I head out with Roman. I can feel his strong arm around my waist when he walks me to his car. Joe's being a gentleman as he helps me in the car and I blush a little when he took the opportunity to kiss my cheek. A soft giggle appears out of my lips when he did that.
Finally we have arrived to the zoo. He took a map from the entrance and we look through it. My eye gleam brightly when I saw one of my favorite animals. The bat section is closeby the entrance and I'm really excited of seeing them. When we enter into the zoo, I feel my hand gets covered with by a gentle, warm hand. I blush because it's Roman holding my hand. A dream is coming true.
A few fans came over to us for autographs and photos which we did since they are nice people. Smiles appearing everywhere, but we managed to get away when there are too many people. Don't get us wrong, we love our fans, but we on a date...oh my gosh, did I say date? *blushes*
Darkness surrounds us when we got into the caves. A family of bats sleeping greets us. I properly have the biggest smile of my face because my face's hurting me to death and I don't care. Even though, they are sleeping upside down, they are the cutest things ever!
"You really love bats huh?" my date chuckles, joining me.
"When I was little, I use to beg my parents for a fruit bat for a pet." Then I chuckled, "It's always been at the top of my birthday lists for years."
He chuckles with me. My eyes begin to read the facts about the bats and every word gets my attention into excitement. All of a sudden, I feel something touch the bottom of my chin. It moves my face so I'm facing my date. Amazing gray eyes stare into my pale eyes. Roman slowly leans down to my face. Lips touch my lips in an amazing kiss.
I let my eyes close as I kiss him back. Since there is a height difference, I got my toes and curl my left leg up to make me somewhat taller. My arms snake around his neck as one of his arms is around my small waist and his other hand holds the back of my head, deepening the kiss.
We stayed like this for a little while before pulling apart, something we don't want to do. Even though our lips aren't touching our faces are really close. Roman pull me into another amazing kiss. Each time we share a kiss or even simply touching me butterflies are flying not only in my stomach, but everywhere in my whole body.
"Artemia," Joe says to me with a smile, very close to my face. "Will you be my goddess?"
"Yes I would love to," I smiled back. "I love you so much Joe."
"I love you so much more Artemia."
Those are the words that I always want to hear from another. I'm just so happy that they are from my one true love.
Roman suggests on having lunch at the restaurant close to the bat section, which I agreed. He was going to buy the food for us. It's really sweet of him. I pick a table the shade, away from the bloody sun.
My cell phone rings. The number wasn't familiar to me so I decline the call. A few moments later, the same number calls again. This time I answer it. "Hello," I greeted. "This is Artemia Hart."
"Artemia! You gotta help me out man!" the voice on the other side of the end speaks like crazy.
"Who is this?" I asked, confused.
Roman joins me with the food when I said that.
"What do you think?" Wait a minute, the only person I know who always say that is…
"Mark?" I asked making sure it's him.
"You gotta help me Artemia! I'm going to jail unless you come for my innocence!"
"Would would I help you since broke Big Sister's heart?" I asked really annoyed.
"I know that I broke her heart, but I do wanna be with her-"
"Okay, I'm going on." I hanged up, really annoyed with this guy.
"Who was that?" Roman asked, giving me my chicken sandwich combo.
"Remember when I told you about my big sister?"
"Was that the father?" he's catching on.
"Unfortunately yes," I sighed, taking a bit of my sandwich. "He claims that he greatly regrets of leaving her and blah, blah, blah."
"A lying cheater huh?"
"Yes."
"Well," he says with a smile, placing his hand over mine. "Whatever happens, I'm willing to destroy him out of our lives." A kiss places itself gently on my hand. I smiled at this. Roman is definitely the one for me.
Throughout lunch, we take little bites off of each other's food like last night. His burger is quite delicious and I can tell he's liking my sandwich. As for the french fries, that's a different story. We're stuffing each other's faces with the fries. It's crazy hehe. I probably was the one who looks like a chipmunk because he loves to feed me.
After lunch, Roman takes me to the felines. My excitement rises up again. Felines are another favorite. He knows it because of my actions in the ring. All of my focus was on the beautiful kitties. Even to the point that I almost forgotten I was with Roman. Once I apologize to him, he just smile to me before giving me a kiss, telling me that he accepts my apology.
"You're just a kitty yourself," he smiles to me. "It doesn't bother me that you are enjoying your time with felines."
"Thank you for understanding," I thanked him with a smile.
We continue on our way to the other animals. The animals that we spend the most of our time is the crocodiles and the aquarium. I tried to find the crocodiles for a good few minutes before finally finding a family of them. Their bodies were becoming one with it's surroundings. Well, the aquarium was something that I always wanted to check out. I never been to one when I was little, so it was quite exciting to see one in person.
A tunnel leads us to the aquarium. Darkness surrounds us as we see the large tanks filled with water and all sorts of marine life. It has the very most beautiful creatures that I wouldn't be surprised that we find a mermaid.
"Are you enjoying yourself Sweetheart?" Roman asks with a smile when we stopped at a tank.
"Yes I am Love," I smiled back. "I'm enjoying myself very much."
"You know," he looks deep within my eyes. "Your eyes look beautiful in the dark."
A blush appears on my face when he said. I smile to him as well. We both lean in for a kiss and I got a bear hug from my bear. The coral reminds me of the Pocahontas's song 'Colors of the Wind'. With of the colors that I can use to paint the winds hehe.
Soon the time for dinner has come. Since we had a large lunch, Roman suggests on something small for dinner like wings or something in that nature. Which I agree because I like wings.
"What will Adrienne say when you get home?" Roman asked, bringing me the wings to share.
"Probably the same way I did," I chuckled, cuddling with him. "I wanted the details because it was her first real date."
"Oh really?" he chuckles as well, placing his arm around me.
"Well, before we met both you and Jonathan, we never had real boyfriends to you know kiss and hug things like that."
"Awe, but," he looks at me with a smile "I'm glad I'm the first one for you."
"I'm hoping for us to be together forever."
"As so I."
I just smile to him before snuggling into his chest.
