Hello everybody! Hope everyone is doing great! I'm feeling pretty good if I do say so myself. :) Thanks so much for all the reviews I've gotten on this story, and my other stories (you know if it applies to you). Personally, i love the (positive) reviews. It takes one minute at most, but it can make (or break) someone's day. I love looking back at the reviews from other chapters or stories, especially when I left you on a cliffhanger. :) My poll is up, but not for long! Hurry if you wanna vote! I own nothin, that's not too bad, but please enjoy this chapter! :)
Narrator's Recap of last chapter
Blackjack arrived in the throne room, then told Percy something. Of course, no one else was listening in to the conversation because either they couldn't, or it would be extremely rude. Percy took off to camp, but which camp? Thalia also realized that Pat had not gotten a wish, and she was seated at the base of an Olympian's throne, one of the least likely immortals. Thalia also realized that Pat is a mystery, and wants to know more. The gods flash Thalia, Annabeth, Nico, and the majority of the Aztecs to camp. Why such a large group? It would be too hard to sort them out, and it would be rude to disclude people. No one likes a bully. (Cough cough Clarisse cough)
Percy's POV
Sitting on the back of a Pegasus can be the worst place to just think, or the best. They're not really an in-between. It's hit or miss. One strike and you're out. Literally.
That's what I am doing right now that. Sitting on Blackjack, I had roughly ten minutes to think about what he told me before I left the throne room.
"Yo boss, you got any donuts? Or apples? Or sugarcubes?"
I said no.
"Why haven't you been to camp lately? And why'd you go here first for two hours instead of going to camp? People are worried sick about you!"
"Geez buddy! I forgot okay? I'm sorry!"
Blackjack kept talking. "Yeah. Everyone's worried. Especially this little kid. What's her name? Daffodil? Rose? Tulip? It's a flower. I think. It sounded tasty."
Daisy.
"Wait, what? What did you say?"
"Yeah. This kid kept coming to visit me everyday. She's ask me if I knew when you were coming back. I always told her no. And that I'd come find her if I knew you were coming back. She didn't listen to me. She still came everyday. Asking the same thing everyday. It was annoying. She wasn't a daughter of Poseidon was she? She couldn't understand me, could she boss? Boss?"
"Holy Hera! I gotta go!" By then I was already climbing onto Blackjack, who mildly protested.
"I haven't carried you in a while boss! You've gotten fatter! You're too heavy! I'm fragile!"
"You're as fragile as Rocky Balboa," I deadpanned. "And he's not fragile at all."
I was already flying away then. Blackjack could take my weight. It turns out he was just sore because an obese camper sat on him. How, I don't know. Why, I don't know. But apparently he did, and it hurt badly. Blackjack was just too embarrassed to say it in front of everybody.
He wasn't too worried about telling everyone that I'm "fatter" though.
"Stupid horse," I muttered aloud.
"Hey! I'm right here boss! How'd you like to walk to camp? Then you'd want your 'stupid horse'!" Blackjack snorted angrily. "That's offensive boss. Some Pegasi would buck you off for that. Poseidon's kid or not. You're lucky I'm so amazing and kindhearted."
"Yeah... Hey amazingly kindhearted Pegasus?" I asked.
"What boss?"
"Do you think you could fly a little faster to camp?"
The rest of the ride was silent, except for the mumblings and grumblings of a pitch black Pegasus in need of a donut.
$$$Line Break$$$
Finally, we reached the camp. Blackjack touched down right within the borders. I hopped off, and immediately ran towards the cabins. Blackjack yelled at me, but I couldn't really hear.
"Donuts when I get back buddy! Just walk to the stables! I'll meet you there!"
I sped past Zeus's cabin, Hera's cabin. My cabin. Suddenly, my eyes fell upon the cabin I was looking for, but my feet didn't obey me. Skidding, I had to go back to get into the cabin. A tedious task that might have cost me a few minutes.
Standing on the porch of the cabin, I banged my hand against the door. I would've just gone in, but who knows that's going on in there?
A familiar face opened the door.
"Hi Rose, is Daisy here?" I desperately asked the daughter of Ares.
She slammed the door in my face. I knocked again.
Another familiar face opened the door, but not the one I was hoping to see.
"Prissy. You're back," she stated, as if disappointed that I didn't die.
"Yeah. I'm still alive. Is Daisy there?" Desperation was clear in my voice, even to me.
She glared at me. "You mean the girl you broke? Yeah she's here. But what makes you think she wants to see you?"
"Please Clarisse! I need to see her!"
"Clarisse?" A small voice spoke from behind Clarisse's hulking form. "Who's at the door?"
"Nobody you want to see sweetie. He's not going to be coming back. Is he?" The last part was addressed to me. I knew that. Sighing in defeat, I turned around and slumped away down the porch and towards my cabin. I could hear voices behind me, but I couldn't make out what they were saying. They weren't directed to me.
A door slammed. Clarisse probably closing the door to her cabin. I didn't turn around. No need. All I'd see would be a cabin full of warriors urging me to go away.
Something grabbed my pants leg. Stopping, I turned around and looked down at my pants. A small girl stood there. A smile lit up her face, and I could feel a similar one growing on my own face.
"Hey there Flower Power," I softly spoke.
"You came back!" Daisy cried, throwing her arms around me. I wrapped her up in my arms, and carried her towards the stables with Blackjack. He needs his donut for getting me here to Daisy.
Maybe he deserved two donuts even.
