Chapter Four: P.O.V Lucy Heartfilia
It was my first day at Fairy Tail University like many others. I walked into my first class. My class was with Professor Makarov who was teaching a class on Magnolia History. I took a seat in the very back of the room. I noticed that not only was it the only seat open, but there was a pink haired boy in the seat to my left and then on my right there was a boy with black hair and dark blue eyes. I put my leather backpack on the floor by the desk between the two. A wolf whistle slipped from the boy to my right. "Mr. Fullbuster! Is this how we show attraction to a new student in town?" A rather short man said standing on the teacher's desk. "My apologies gramps." The man named Mr. Fullbuster said softly. "Hey, I'm Gray, that was not really polite." He ended as he held his hand out to shake mine. "Lucy, pleased to meet you." I said sweetly shaking his hand. I took my seat between the two and pulled a notebook out for notes. Professor Makarov smiled and began his lecture on the founding of Magnolia. I noticed that I was paying so much attention to the lecture that was being given I had not noticed that there was a uniquely folded piece of paper on the corner of my desk. I looked down at the paper and what had been written on the paper was my name in boyish handwriting. I had gotten really good at making myself look like I was paying attention to the lesson, but when in reality I was doing other things. The paper made a little bit of noise as I opened the note. There written in that same boyish handwriting was an introductory note from the pink haired boy. The note read: "Lucy, I'm Natsu." The unique part about the note was that it seemed to have been written in flame. So that the page had that burnt feel and look, but not really burned. I turned to the the boy named Natsu and smiled; his smile lit up his entire face. It made me giggle softly as the bell began to ring. I had been lost in my surroundings after I noticed the note on my desk. I stood at the same time Natsu had. "Come to lunch with us Lucy. Gray, Juvia and I are going to lunch. Come with us?" His smiled was yet once again brightening. I nodded happily, seeing my blonde hair bounce in my peripheral vision. The three of us walked out the classroom and almost ran right into a woman with blue hair and her eyes a darker blue. "Juvia, baby!" Gray managed before his lips pressed to the woman named Juvia. She smiled as his hand grabbed hers. "Oh! Juvia, I am such an idiot. This is Lucy. She is new to Magnolia." Juvia turned to smile at me and I at her. "Hello Lucy, I am Juvia, Gray's girlfriend." Her gloved hand shook mine firmly. "Pleased to meet you Juvia." I decided to keep the whistle between those that were in the room for that. "Lucy are you going to join us for lunch then?" She asked me with a sweet smile. I nodded my head in response.
We exited the building. I was surprised to see so many people still at the University. The walk seemed altogether to quiet, apparently Natsu and Gray agreed. "So, Lucy tell us about yourself." Gray began with a smile, his dark blue eyes twinkling in the sun. Natsu sighed heavily at the sight. "Really Gray? Your girlfriend is right there and you are going to hit on the new girl? That is just stupid." Natsu seemed a little on the jealous side. "Really? That is what you think? Natsu, I am not that horrible. I may be a bad ass Ice Make mage, but I would never cheat on my girlfriend." Natsu rolled his black eyes at Gray. "Ugh! Come on you two! This never stops. I really don't think that jealousy is the way to a woman's heart Natsu. Take it from me. I am a woman, and Gray being all jealous just pisses me off." Juvia hide her true feelings about Gray's jealousy well, but I knew that she was not being true to her heart with that comment. "Who said that I wanted into the new girl's heart?" He mumbled back at her continuing to walk on. His hands met and sat on the back of his head in his pink hair. "Natsu, you are a horrible liar." Gray said slipping out of his white jacket. "Okay, you are wrong. I am a great liar, first off. Secondly, I don't want in her heart. Maybe her skirt though." It was then that I lost my mind. "You know, I do not know any of you at all. So, I can say this without worry of loosing friends because I don't have any. Natsu, that is just plain out rude. Especially when I am in ear shot. Dumb ass! Gray, if all you two do is fight the why do you hang out together? Really. By the way be honest with her. She seems like an awesome person. So, to make this real clear. Juvia, whether you like it or not your boyfriend cut a wolf whistle at me. And Juvia, be honest with him. You love the fact that he gets jealous. Anyone who can't see that is truly blind to what love really is." I had spoken so quickly that I had to stop and catch my breath. "I do not know where anything is. So, if we are still going to lunch let's go. If not, point me in the right direction and I will get there myself." I never realized how pissed I was at them that day. More the two males than I ever was Juvia. "I can not believe you Gray! After all that we had been through you do that?" Juvia managed without loosing her mind on him. She jerked her hand from his and hugged me. I never thought that this is how my first day would have gone. Natsu and Gray stared at the scene in shock. "Come on Lucy, we will go and get lunch." She had wrapped her hand around my wrist when I felt another hand on my other wrist. I first thought that it was Natsu, but when I turned around there was Leo. He was one of the most beautiful people in all the world. "Lucy, are you having a rough day already?" His voice was perfect, if there ever was such a thing. His strawberry blonde hair spiked back and his black eyes shined in the sun. He was always in a suit and tie, I had not really thought about that. Not to mention the glasses that made him look ten times as hot and smart. "Leo, I am fine. It is okay really. We were just going to go to lunch." I tried to not get anyone in trouble with the leader of the Zodiac spirits. "Lucy, If you ever have need you just call okay? I will not be afraid to defend your honor." His perfectly white teeth brightened his already amazing smile. He took my hand and pressed his lips to my knuckles. "I must go. She is waiting for me." I smiled as he disappeared and turned back to Juvia. "I wanna know who that gorgeous man is and why he is all amazing towards you, but has a girl waiting on him." Juvia said with a smile. I laughed lightly. "He is not a guy to have a relationship with. Especially if you are me." Natsu walked over and looked curiously at me. "What?" He jumped back a little and shook his head. "Nothing, I do not understand you is all." I rolled my eyes at him. I could not deal with this right now so I went back to talking with Juvia about Leo. "He is a Celestial Spirit." I said calmly as my hand instinctively went to the key pouch on my belt. "What exactly does that mean?" Natsu asked as he and Gray moved closer to me. "I make contracts with Celestial Spirits to help me in combat. It is my magic." I saw the interest on their faces and chuckled. It was then that I also realized that Plue was hanging onto my right ankle. "Aw. He is so cute!" Juvia squealed as she squatted down to see him. "Plue. Plue." Was all it said before it began to dance for them. "This is Plue. He is The Canis Minor Spirit. He just seems to pop up whenever he is lonely or anyone else is not here." I said laughing lightly at his dancing. "Come on, we will talk more over lunch. Anything specific?" Juvia asked standing back up. "No, not really. What did you have in mind?" I asked cautiously, the look on her face was so hard to figure at this point. I could not figure her out. "Well, We like Italian. Natsu likes sushi, but what about you?" Juvia asked looking me dead in the face. "Well, I like Italian, sushi, and much more. I love rice balls too. They are an old favorite." I lost my smile at the thought of my father brushing the rice ball onto the office floor all those years ago, but things were getting better. "Alright, the buffet building it is." The three of them turned and began to walk. I stood there a moment with a smile on my face, I knew that these people were true friends already. I picked up Plue and jogged after them, not a good idea in boots with a small heel to them.
We arrived at a rather large, home like building about five after twelve. I had never been to something like this, so I followed Gray, Juvia, and Natsu. We paid at the register at the entrance of the building to eat as much as we wanted to. To a lot of people it would seem odd, I know that the first time I saw him do it it was to me. I noticed that Natsu was talking to a man, he looked like a chef. I wasn't too sure as to what he was doing till I saw the chef light a torch and hand it to Natsu. "Juvia?" I asked sitting at the table after I witnessed this. "Yea?" She asked sipping on her soda. "Why was Natsu getting a lit torch?" My temple showed my confusion. She laughed lightly and wiped a tear from her eyes. "Natsu, well, he is special. I do not mean in any wrong way." I looked at her as I nibbled my broccoli. Plue sat on the table looking at me curiously. "Uh, Natsu!" She said as he walked over to our table with Gray and a small blue cat with wings. "Oh! Hi, Happy. When did you get here? Natsu, explain to Lucy the fire, please." She spat out before turning her attention to the blue cat who was more interested in Plue. "I just got here." The blue cat named Happy stated lightly staring at Plue. "Natsu eats fire. He is a special mage that needs magic power by eating fire." He continued. I nodded as I watched Natsu eat three or four torches. "Who is this?" Happy said pointing to Plue. Plue decided that he was going to answer for himself. "Plue, Plue!" He looked like a miniature snowman, but not round and has feet. "Plue?" Happy's face showed confusion. "Yes, His name is Plue. He is a Celestial Spirit." I said patting Plue lightly on the head. "Oh, Well how did you end up with him?" I tried not to inhale my salad as I laughed. "I am a Celestial Spirit Mage. It is what I do." I sipped some water down after I spoke. Happy nodded and tried to mimic Plue's dance. "Happy! Natsu!" A younger voice called from behind us. Natsu's nose twitched slightly and turned around. "Hi Wendy. Carla." A little white cat with wings fluttered over and sat next to Happy and Plue on the table. "Hello Natsu. Hello, I'm Carla. You are?" The little white cat said introducing herself as she smoothed out her pink dress. "Lucy." I said after swallowing more of my salad. "A pleasure. I am sure that Happy has introduced himself." She said motioning to the blue cat with a white chest. I nodded. He had not really, but it was obvious that Happy was his name. He had come back with Gray and Natsu, and when Juvia addressed them Happy was the only new name. I am such a smart girl when I really think. Wendy came and sat down next to me. She was taller than I expected when I first heard her voice. The girl had waist length, straight, dark blue hair and brown eyes. Wendy stood only at 5'5 and only looked to be in high school. "Wendy, be polite." Carla said as Wendy took her seat next to me. "Oh! Hello, My name is Wendy. Wendy Marvell." She said stretching out her hand to shake my own. "Hello Wendy, I am Lucy." She smiled her child like smile and nodded once at me.
We sat for an hour munching and talking. "Good thing this crowd didn't get any bigger." I thought to myself as I stood up to leave. "Hey, where you going?" Natsu asked bounding over to me. I laughed lightly at the thought that I really had made some real friends here. "I was going to go on home. Work on my part of the assignment and watch some TV. Why?" I asked as I pulled my house and car keys out of my purse. "Why don't we do all of that together?" He seemed to be more interested in me than the assignment at the point. "Alright, come on." We walked the five minutes to my house in silence, just enjoying the afternoon. When we turned into my neighborhood he stopped suddenly and I almost left him behind. "Natsu? What's wrong?" He was staring at neighborhood entrance sign. "This neighborhood is for rich people." I nodded knowing that. "Yea, I live in this neighborhood with my parents." He shook his head to regain himself. "Oh, Okay." We walked another three or four minutes to my house and there at the driveway he stopped. Again. "What?" I followed his eyes to the house. I had never in the little bit of time living here had I noticed how big the house was on the outside. "Just wait till you see the inside of the house." We walked down the driveway and I put my key in the door and went to turn the key when the door opened for me. "Momma, what are you doing home already? I thought you had two classes to teach about now." I asked as I hugged the older version of me. "Yes baby, I do have to go now and teach my classes." She kissed my forehead as she grabbed her house keys and briefcase. "Bye baby, be good. Capricorn is in the back if you need anything." She said as she waved good bye without asking about Natsu, but I understood what was going on.
"Come on Natsu. Let's get this started." I started to walk away, but he had latched to my wrist. "What?" My voice soft and concerned about his actions. His black eyes showed something that I had yet to see in him since I first met him. I saw it in Gray's and in Juvia's eyes, but not his. Natsu pulled me to him and wrapped his arms around my waist. A smile slipped onto his face as his nose touched mine. I stood there shocked into stillness. As his lips touched mine I relaxed some. His hands starting at my waist moved and caressed my butt, which was rather noticeable in this skirt. I jumped only slightly as his hands moved back up as they had down. My hands stayed wrapped around his neck where I could watch them. As his tongue invaded my mouth his hands made their way to the front of my shirt. The kiss seemed to make the room feel hot and I wasn't bothered when he had completely unbuttoned my shirt. My hands tangled in his pink hair as he moved from my lips down my neck and across my collar bone. I could do nothing more than enjoy myself. "He's adorable." I thought to myself. My heart was beating hard and fast. I could feel his lips moving from my collar bone down to between my breasts. My hands stayed tangled in his pink hair as he removed my bra. My shirt had hit the floor not long before my bra had. "Natsu," I managed to get out before his mouth clasped around my nipple. He picked me up and I wrapped my legs around his waist as we made our way to my room. To say that I was all heated up was a misunderstanding. The only clothing between us now where his clothes and my skirt and panties. He stared at me for a moment as he dropped his vest on the floor and went to close my bedroom door. I kicked off my boots and socks while he dropped his pants to the floor. Natsu sat on the bed next to me and started kissing my neck. At that moment I lost all self control and straddled him. His hands went to the front of my skirt which had buttons down the front which held it together. With his left hand he undid every button while his right hand went under my skirt. "Natsu," I breathed heavily. "We can't do this. Not on day one." He looked up at me and nodded. "I understand Lucy. I-I-I'm sorry. I didn't think this was going to happen." I nodded understandingly.
