Chapter 10 POV Erza Scarlett
"It has been two weeks since the Masquerade Ball." I wrote in my small red book that sat ontop of my desk. "Why do I feel so much love for him? I know I have known him for so long, but why do I feel the need to be with him?" I never had the courage to admit that I had a hard time when it came to matters of the heart.
My heart skipped a beat when my red and silver iphone began blaring music. "Hello?" I raised an eyebrow as I answered, it was a number that wasn't programed into my phone. "Hmmm." I thought to myself. "Hey. Erza?" A female voice spoke from the other end of the phone. "Yes, who are you?" My voice held my caution. "Oh good! Oh! We haven't met yet." Her voice filled with nervousness. "My name is Lucy. Lucy Heartfilia." I smiled slightly. "I wonder how she got my number." I thought to myself and as if she had read my mind, she answered my question. "I am pretty good friends with Levy and Juvia. I'm new here and Levy told me that you had a class with me." I chuckled lightly. "God, this girl talks a lot." I thought to myself.
"So, why did you need my number?" I asked not trying to hide my better mood or smile. "Oh! Right! Well, I told Levy what time the class started and you were gonna be late. So, she told me to call you and remind you." Her breathing sounded like she was out of breath. That is when it hit me. PHYS ED! "Crap! Thanks for calling me. Let Professor Lily know that I'm running a little late and am on my way." Without waiting on a response I hung up and threw my gym clothes together. "Damn! He is gonna skin me alive." My frustration reached it's high point as I locked my door.
I found them, my class, on the track running. The professor was making Jet control himself and not use his magic. "Erza! Your late!" A black Exceed with a white chest and stomach spoke as he flew over to me. "Yes, sir. My apologies, Professor Lily. I did ask Lucy to pass the word for me." My heart was racing as I pulled my hair into a high ponytail. "I know you did. She did pass the word to me. You have missed ten minutes of class already. Get it together." His voice was filled with annoyance. Not that I could blame him.
My feet pounded into the ground as I started my laps. "Hey. Sorry you got into a bit of trouble with Professor Lily." Lucy said as she jogged up to me. Her blonde hair bounced in it's tiny ponytail. I smiled at her as we jogged onward. "It isn't your fault, Lucy." We jogged for what seemed to be forever before Professor Lily flew to the center of the football field inside the large track. "Class, finish the lap you are on and then come to the football field for the next portion of class." He said firmly. Lucy and I finished our lap and made it to the center of the football field with the rest of our classmates. "Now that we have stretched and ran, I will partner you up and we will work on hand to hand sparring." Professor Lily said as he put his hands on his hips. Each of us sat there waiting to be paired up with someone. "Erza, Lucy; you two will be partners for this exercise." Professor Lily said looking from me to Lucy. The two of us looked at each other and suddenly I worried that I may end up hurting her, but who am I to argue with our Professor?
