Chapter 11

POV Libra (Celestial Spirit)

It is still hard for me to believe that the King is letting us travel freely between the worlds without being summoned. "Libra?" A blonde woman spoke standing over me. "Yes?" I replied raising my brown eyes to meet her blue eyes, my white mask sitting on the desk.

"My name is Professor Layla Heartfilia. I wondered if you would be a guest for me." My eyebrow raised on it's own. "A guest? How so?" I asked sliding out of the desk in study hall carefully so that I did not flash the study hall. "Well, in my class we are going to have a lecture on common courtesy with spirits, spirits themselves, how to make contracts and what to expect. I am a Celestial Mage and my classes relate to being a Celestial Mage." Layla said as she pushed a lock of blonde hair behind her ear.

Naturally, I became interested with what she was wanting. "Okay. I would enjoy being of help to your students." I spoke as I extended my hand to shake hers. "Thank you." Layla said as she shook my hand lightly. "If there is anything that you need let me know." I nodded as a smile crept onto my face. "Thank you, Professor." She dug into her purse and pulled out a small card. "This has the class times on the back and on the front of the card is my phone number." I took the card, looking at it. The card was pretty. A plain white card with the orange Fairy Tail Guild symbol and the writing in black ink.

I nodded and went to lunch. The cafeteria was jam packed with people when I got there. My heart pounded away in my chest when I saw him. "My God" I thought to myself "He is beautiful." There was something that made him notice me. His smile was beautiful and his teeth are so perfect. He smiled at me and gave me a wink. It was then that I was glad to have had my mask on. My cheeks flushed with color as I walked over to get in line and grab a tray for lunch. I stood there in line with so many thoughts running through my head. "I have seen him somewhere. His face, It's so familiar to me. Where have I seen that man before?" I thought as I put a spinich tortilla, chicken wrap on my tray. "Hey Libra." A small voice spoke as I walked over to the register. "Aries? Hey, what are you doing here?" I smiled as I dug my dollor out of my bikini top. "I work here. Mainly on Wednesday and Friday, because I don't have class then." A smile on her face as she took my money. It was one of the very first times that I ever saw her smile. "How is Leo?" I asked her before I went to find my seat.

"Oh, he is great. Doing well. His classes are good too. Have you seen Cancer yet? He just got started yesterday." Aries said pushing a lock of pink hair behind her ear. "Cancer? He is sitting over there?" I asked as I jestured towards the gorgeous man that had captured my attention. "My, my. Libra, has it been that long since you have had any interaction with Cancer? Yes, that is him over there." Aries spoke shyly. She had a rough past with her previous masters. They just weren't good for her. Not at all. "Yes, it has been a long time since I have really had any interaction with him. He looks good though." I smiled ehind my white mask. "Hey, well I am gonna go and eat. Catch you later? Maybe we can hang out." Her face filled with the light of excitement. "Oh, Libra!" She lept from behind the register and hugged me. Her white fleecy attire was as white as it was the day before. "Sorry." She dropped her head slightly. "Aries, there is nothing to be sorry for. Here, this is my number. Give me a call and we can get together." I handed her a piece of paper with a number on it and a smile on my face to try and be comforting to her.

"Thank you, Libra. Thank you. I will call you later." Aries smiled shyly as she slipped behind the register again. My feet took me to a table that was rather isolated and sat down. Unlike many of the other members of the school I was a tad anti-social. My heart raced as I felt a pair of eyes staring at me. Trying to keep from giving them the pleasure of knowing that they got to me, I cracked open my orange soda. "Libra?" A rather masculine voice startled me. "Yes?" My reply was muffled as I was cleaning up orange soda off my face and table. "It has been a long time, hasn't it?" I turned to see who was behind me and there he was. Cancer. "Damn." I thought to myself. "What am I going to do now? I wasn't expecting him to come over here and talk to me. Oh m-" My thoughts were interupted by his mouth moving. "Cancer, wait. What are you doing here?" I had realized while I was in mid thought he had been talking to me. "Libra, I wanted to reconnect with you. You and I were very close once. Wouldn't it be nice to be that close again?" His yellow lenses shined in the light as he sat down across from me. "Oh, Cancer. I...I don't know. Is it a good idea to be that close again?"

I was worried that I might say something stupid. "God, Cancer. Can't you see it?" My thoughts were running wild again. What was a girl to do. "I really care about you, Cancer. Please. Please. Don't make me say it. Please, just please see it in me." I thought as I sipped my soda and looked into his sunglassed eyes with a slight smile. "Libra?" His voice seemed filled to the brim with nervousness. "Yes, Cancer?" I replied as I picked at the spinich tortilla. "Please. Let's start over. Please." He spoke as he slid his hand across the table to set his hand ontop of mine. "Oh my. He sees it." I thought to myself as he squeezed my hand. "Oh man. Oh man. Do I say yes? Do I say no?" My cheeks felt hot as a smile crept on to my face. "Cancer, I would love to start all over, but I don't want an ending like we had the last time. That was not good for either of us." My heart was beating so loud that I swear the whole cafeteria could hear my heart beating. "I know. I don't want to go through all that again either. Promise me, that you won't do that to me again. Promise." Even with the sunglasses on his face you could tell that there was still hurt in his eyes. "Okay, Cancer. I promise that I will not do that to you again." I squeezed his hand lightly and put my tray away and took off to find Professor Layla's classroom.
