As Ben faded away, Kanan brought forth the crystal Ezra had recently given him. "I always wondered why he wanted me to find this. I have decided to bring it with us when I knew we were coming here, I thought it was key to something." The crystal itself was white and very bright. "How do we break it into three pieces?" Luke asked. Ahsoka reached out with the force to it and, carefully, broke it into three equal sized pieces.
"Like that. Go ahead guys, put them in your sabers!" she said. Luke and Ezra each reached out for one, adding it swiftly to their sabers, next to their other crystal. They headed outside, where they turned them on. Aside from making their colors a little more vibrant, there wasn't much of a difference in what they could see or feel.
Luke looked to the sky, before saying "We should get moving. At this time we can make it back to town before the suns set." As they got into the landspeeder, Kanan asked, "Do you guys feel any different?" "Not really." Ezra replied, "I don't think we will either, except for maybe after we drop of the crystal on Edjei." "You know, I was thinking." Luke said, "What if we made a temple on Edjei, make it where we train those strong in the force?"
"That is definitely a thought. If the planet is strong in the light side of the force, it would be easier to keep padawans and younglings on the right track." Ahsoka replied, "What do you think Kanan, Ezra?" "I think it would be a great idea." Ezra answered. "I also have a question. Are we going to follow all of the rules of the old way?" asked Kanan.
"You mean like not being able to be married, etc?" asked Luke. "Right." Kanan said. "Personally I don't think we should. I mean imagine if marriages were allowed, my father might not have ever gone to the dark side, as he could have told Ben or someone about his vision of her dying. Plus families give people a reason to fight for peace for, a reason to keep going in a fight that is not really theirs." Luke said.
"I second all that Luke has said." Ahsoka said, "I think we should go over all the rules very carefully and give deep consideration to each of them." "Why don't we do this, we will go to Edjei so that Luke and I can put the crystal somewhere. While we are there we will look for a place to put the temple as well. Once the location has been decided, we will stay there for a time to oversee the construction of the temple, as well as to consider all of the Orders rules." Ezra said, "Sound like a plan?"
The others voiced their agreement to this plan while they sped towards Anchorhead. They also discussed what they would tell the others when they got there. Which was a good think, as the first words out of Zeb's mouth were, "Well, what did you find?" "Just a holocron of Obi-wan Kenobi." Ezra replied. Here gave Kanan a raised eyebrow, saying she knew that wasn't all, but she kept her mouth shut.
"He told us of a planet called Edjei, we think it will be a great place to start a Jedi Academy." Luke said. "He didn't give us exact coordinates, but he did say it was exactly between Lothal and Tatooine, think you can find it Hera?" Kanan asked. "Do you really have to ask? Once we get back to the Ghost it shouldn't take me long at all." She replied. "I don't get why he couldn't just tell you this, but oh well." Said Sabine.
The next day they went back to Mos Eisley and boarded the Ghost. With Chopper and R2s help, it was only a few minutes before Hera had what she was pretty sure was Edjei's coordinates. "There are no planets on the maps, but we are pretty sure this is where we are looking for. We'll stock up on fuel before we leave and come out of hyperspace 50km or so from those coordinates so we don't accidentally ram into the planet… hopefully. Just keep your sense going and we should be fine." Hera informed them.
They took off, headed on their next adventure. Luke had so many questions filling his head, would they find Edjei? If they did would it be a good place to build a temple? Would his mom and sister move there if it was and they decided for sure to have families allowed? Only the future knew, and it was giving up its secrets yet.
