Months passed and work on the Academy was nearing completion. Many of the former Jedi that they had met in their travels had come there to live with their families. Mon Mothma had arranged to have the food and things the Jedi needed set to her and then Hans and/or whoever was available of the Jedi would go and get them to bring to Edjei. Padmé came to visit often, though she wasn't sure if she could ever leave Naboo entirely as it was where she and Anakin had fallen in love, gotten married, etc.

Leia and Hans were living there, at least temporarily, to be available for delivering and picking up cargo. Leia still showed no real signs of learning how to use the force, though Luke was pretty sure he had seen her interest aroused a few times. Even some of the Jedi who had said they were retired were showing some interest in at least teaching at the Academy, if not returning to their Jedi duties. And several of the Jedi's offspring showed signs of force sensitivity.

So things were looking up… which made Luke wonder, how long would that remain? He knew deep in his heart that where there is the light side of the Force, there is also the dark side. The two would forever be struggling against each other. He sensed that something was coming, though what or how big he was unsure. He didn't trouble the others with his thoughts, for they were busy with planning how the buildings would be placed, where the town for the families would be, how they should store the holocrons, etc.

Almost nightly he woke up in a sweat, not really afraid, but more wary that whatever he was dreaming about was very real. If only he could remember what he dreamed, than he could put a face or even a name to what was bothering him, but upon waking he could never remember what was bothering him. No one around him noticed the darkening circles under his eyes, or how exhausted he seemed to be all the time. No one that is, until Padmé came to visit once again.

She took one look at her son and was instantly taken back to the time right before the twin's births, when Anakin seemed so distraught over her death that he foresaw. She thought about approaching her son herself, but decided to go to Kanan and Ahsoka instead. After all they would be around Luke for longer than she as they were going to live here too, so they should learn to be aware of each other.

As she searched for them, she was happy to find them alone inside the main building. "Kanan, Ahsoka, may I talk to you for a minute?" she asked as she walked towards them. They both started, so intent upon whatever they were talking about they hadn't heard her come in. She shook her head before saying in a teasing tone, "You're both lucky I'm not a dark Jedi, I could have gotten close to you without you being the wiser."

They chuckled sheepishly before Ahsoka asked, "What can we do for you Padmé?" "Have you two talked to Luke recently?" she asked. "I did just this morning, we went over some plans for the town." Kanan stated. "But have you really talked to him? I mean not about plans for the Academy and town, but as a friend recently?" she asked. Ahsoka and Kanan both looked at each other before they looked at Padmé again, blushes covering both of their cheeks. "I guess we have been rather wrapped up with preparations and plans lately, why what's up?" asked Ahsoka.

"I don't know." Padmé replied, "But his face looks drawn and there are dark circles under his eyes, like he hasn't been sleeping well. It reminds me of how Anakin was, right before the twins were born. He kept foreseeing me dying in childbirth." Ahsoka hung her head a bit in shame, while Kanan rubbed the back of his neck and said, "How did I miss how he was looking? He's just been so normal, I didn't really pay attention to his face to see if it said otherwise."

"You just aren't used to being back among other Jedi again Kanan, and Ahsoka don't worry he won't end up like Anakin, and you aren't to blame for that either." Padmé gently said. Ahsoka nodded, but Padmé could see that her old friend was still troubled over not being there for Anakin, though personally Padmé was glad she hadn't been. For now she would let it slide, but she intended to have a good long talk with Ahsoka, once whatever was wrong with Luke was cleared up.

"Excuse us Padmé, while we go look for Luke." Kanan said. "Certainly, I will be visiting Leia if you need anything." She said before leaving the two Jedi to go to it. Kanan and Ahsoka looked for Luke for a good long while before finding him watching Ezra and Sabine spar in hand to hand combat. They paused for a minute to take a good look at Luke themselves and saw that Padmé was right. His eyes had dark circles under them from lack of sleep and his face was drawn with anxiety.

Ahsoka was the first to move and she headed over to settle down beside Luke. Kanan, taking a cue from her, went and sat on Luke's other side. They all sat there silently for a minute, watching as Zeb joined in and was immediately taken on by both Ezra and Sabine. Once Kanan was sure they were busy enough not to be listening, though hoping that Hera was from her place a few feet away, he asked, "How are you doing Luke?"

Luke responded with a perky, "I'm fine." Though now that she was really listening, Ahsoka could her the weariness in it. "You are not fine Luke, I can tell from your face that you haven't been sleeping well. Want to share what's keeping you up?" she asked. Luke was silent for a minute, contemplating how much he should tell them. They were just dreams really, nothing to bother the others with, right?

As if he knew what Luke was thinking, Kanan said, "Dreams aren't always dreams Luke. Sometimes the Force tries to tell us things with it and while more often than not we misinterpret them, they can act as a warning or a source of information to us." Luke sighed before he said, "Okay so lately I have been having dreams, but I don't remember anything about them, except for a very real feeling of dread. Honestly it could just be my whole well life's going good what's going to happen now acting up, I'm sure it will pass soon."

Ahsoka shared a worried look with Kanan who glanced over to see if Hera was listening, which of course she was. "Actually Luke, the fact that you don't remember what it is that takes place in your dreams, bothers me more than if you had told me that you did remember." Kanan said. Luke looked him the eye, causing Kanan to notice just how bloodshot they were, and he was struck with guilt for not noticing Luke's condition before now. "How long have they been happening?" he hoarsely whispered around the lump in his throat.

Luke paused to consider this before saying, "Probably about a week or so now, it's really hard to say. I had been having bad dreams for a while, but the anxiety I have been feeling upon waking up didn't really kick in until last week sometime." Hera stood up and came to join them, saying to Luke "Why don't you come with me. I think I have something that will put you to sleep for a while so you should wake up more rested." She gave Ahsoka and Kanan a look, before leading Luke away.

Once he was out of earshot Ahsoka turned to Kanan and said, "What did that look me?" Kanan sighed and said, "Well it said many things, like I am in trouble for not noticing Luke's condition sooner and such, but it also said that we should talk to the other Jedi about this because something tells her if its bothering Luke that much then it has to be something real." "So what you're saying is…" Ahsoka started. "Yep, it's time to hold a Jedi Council." Kanan finished.
