Ale couldn't sleep. After she had tucked Eliot in she went downstairs, helping to get the kids in bed and cleaning out the vehicles from the wedding, all of the decorations having to come back to the house. The whole time she kept thinking back to Eliot's lips on hers, his hands around her waist as he rolled her onto the bed.
When she finally finished helping the family she went to her alcove, changing into a big t-shirt and boxers, reading the letter that her mom wrote her over and over again until the sun began to rise.

When Eliot woke up he vaguely remembered the night before, Ale's smile in his mind. When he thought more about the night he remembered his lips covering that same smile he had admired for so long. If he was remembering correctly, she kissed him back.
He had a pounding headache, but he had to know if what he was remembering was correct. He pulled himself out of bed, putting on some jeans and a fresh shirt. He went into the kitchen, stopping dead in his tracks when he saw Ale sitting at the breakfast nook, her back against the wall, her hair still in curls, her frame evident beneath the large t-shirt she was wearing. Zoe was on Ale's bent knees, her fingers curled around Ale's as she giggled at Ale as she made faces at her.
"I don't know what I am going to do when you go, Ale. Zoe just adores you and you are so good with her," Eliot's sister sighed, sitting down at the table with a cup of coffee. Ale went to look at her, blushing when she saw Eliot. She obviously remembered something about last night.
Even with last night's makeup on and her dress gone, Ale still looked beautiful.
"I think that's how we all feel about Ale," Sophie smiled, coming into the room. "Ale, you look like you didn't sleep a wink last night," she said offhandedly, Eliot looking at her more closely. While she was still beautiful, Ale did look tired.
Instead of saying anything, Ale picked Zoe up into an airplane dropping her down to give her kisses on the cheek.
"Well there is one thing that I can't help Zoe with, and that is eating. She is starting to get a little hungry I think," Ale said, standing to hand Zoe off. "I am going to go pack."
Ale climbed the stairs, starting to pull her stuff together. She heard footsteps behind her, Ale looking over her shoulder to find Eliot standing there, his hands in his pockets, looking unsure of himself.
"How ya feelin', cowboy?" Ale asked, folding up some of her clothes.
"A bit foggy," Eliot answered, Ale nodding. She couldn't decide if she wanted Eliot to remember last night or not.
If he did, then they would have to talk about it. They would have to decide if they wanted to be together. Ale was terrified that Eliot would regret the kiss, or worse, want to kiss more and have everything ruined when it didn't work out.
On the other hand, if he didn't remember, then things would stay the same forever. And Ale would have to keep her feelings inside and pretend not to be falling for Eliot.
"What do you remember?" Ale asked casually.
"A beautiful girl took me home…and I kissed her. And it was perfect," Eliot said, walking closer to Ale.
Ale froze, hoping that he knew it was her.
"Oh yeah?" Ale asked, Eliot clearing her throat. Ale turned around, surprised at how close Eliot was to her.
"Yeah," Eliot nodded, putting his hands on Ale's forearms, pulling her closer. Before Ale could say anything else Eliot's lips were over hers again, Ale's breath being taken away.
"I remember everything about last night. It took a while but as soon as I saw you this morning, it all came back. How could I forget?"
"This isn't like you, Eliot," Ale said, a bit of doubt creeping into her voice.
"I know. That is exactly why I needed to do it. Last night I couldn't take my eyes off of you. The thought of any other guy dancing with you drove me insane. I have waited too long to not do something about liking you that I was the only thing standing in my way. And last night I kissed you...and you kissed me back. How could we just ignore that?"
Eliot wasn't sure where all of this was coming from, but he was sure that this was what needed to happen. He couldn't keep denying his feelings for Ale. It was starting to get in the way of his job. Instead, he imagined he was Quinn, and he took a chance.
He was only hoping that Ale would be okay with it.

The van was entirely too quiet to be recognized as the Leverage caravan. Nate was asleep, Sophie was reading, Eliot and Ale were trying desperately not to look at each other or touch each other or send off any impression that they even knew each other, and Hardison was driving. Even Parker was quiet, laying on the floor, working on untying a bunch of knots in some of Sophie's jewelry.
"So, how was the rest of the wedding?" Ale asked, breaking the silence. She and Eliot had left early and she didn't get a chance to chat with the team about how their night was.
"Oh it was lovely," Sophie smiled. "Did you two have a good rest of your night?"
Ale was about to answer when her phone rang, Eliot breathing a sigh of relief. She talked for a while to whomever was on the other end, her making it clear that she was trying to hang up because she was surrounded by others.
"Sorry. That was my cousin in Italy. She was just checking in," Ale shrugged, Sophie giving her a knowing look. Ale bored her eyes into Sophie, pleading with her to stop badgering them.
After what seemed like years, the team finally reached the bar.
"Can we go?" Ale asked, anxious to talk things out with Eliot.
"You are dismissed," Nate nodded, Ale bolting to the apartment. Eliot came up a few minutes later their bags in his arms.
"I'm sorry. I forgot we had those," Ale laughed, taking hers from him. As soon as she set her bags on the ground Eliot dropped his, pulling Ale towards him and kissing her softly. "Eliot…we still have to talk about," Ale breathed, Eliot nodding.
"I know," he smiled, kissing her again.
"Eliot," Ale said seriously, him pulling away and sighing. They sat down on the couch, Ale not sure how to start the conversation.
"What are we doing?" she eventually asked, looking at Eliot with raised eyebrows.
"What do you mean?" Eliot asked, chuckling a bit.
"I mean…how are we going to handle this? Because it will change things…and if it doesn't work out, then what are we going to do? I can't lose you, and I can't lose the team. You are all I have left," Ale shrugged. Eliot's heart melted, him sighing and taking Ale's hand.
"You know that I like you. And I am assuming you like me."
"We aren't in middle school, Eliot. It doesn't matter if we like each other. There is a lot more riding on this than some valentine's day dance."
"Ale, we have been through a lot more than having a crush on each other. I think we can handle our emotions if something doesn't work out. The way I see it, the only reason we shouldn't be together is if you aren't as crazy about me as I am about you," Eliot drawled, Ale closing the distance between them and kissing him.
"I think we can figure it out," Ale laughed softly, Eliot taking her in his arms as he laid her down on the couch, finally getting to know what it felt like to kiss Alessandra Mosetti.
