"I love it!" Sara beamed at the empty room, clearly picturing something in her mind. "Over here can be the sofa and coffee table, and the TV can go there, and… Lindsay could have her own study! None of them would have to share rooms. Oh, Catherine, do you like it? Please say you like it!"

Catherine laughed. This was a big house but for some crazy reason, like maybe how Sara had barely spent any of her pay checks, it was well within budget.

And… she found she could see it all too. It was really a beautiful home, on the outskirts of Vegas. Close to a much better school than the one Lindsay went to. Close enough to the lab.

"I don't know, Sara." She feigned hating it. "I mean, Linds would have to change schools. Maybe we should just have you move in at ours."

Sara nodded. "Yeah. I get that."

Catherine laughed. "Sar! I love it. I think it'd be great for us to move together, get a place that's truly ours. Plus we've been looking for two weeks. I'd like to get at least the essentials in before you, you know, pop."

Sara looked disgusted. "I'm not gonna 'pop', Cath. I'm gonna have a calm, gentle, natural birth."

When Catherine had finished crying with laughter, she looked at Sara. "You- You're not conna have a calm birth. There's no such thing. You're gonna have twins, as well. You are NOT having a gentle birth, honey!"

Sara frowned. "Just put in a bid for the house, okay. A high one, I want to start decorating next week. And we better get to work. God, I hate that Griss put me on filing- 8 months is nothing."

As they entered the building, Sara was complaining, which had become a regular occurence.

"I am definitely having contractions! I'm the pregnant one, Catherine!" She moaned.

Catherine shook her head. "Braxton Hicks. I'm telling you, you are not in labor, going into labor, or even thinking about labor. Got that? You've still got a month to cook those th-"

She was cut off by a deafening scream and doubling up of Sara.

"Catherine, this is not right! Call an ambula-argh!"

Catherine fumbled for her phone. "I left it in the car! Sara!"

Suddenly, Mandy appeared at her side. "I called an ambulance. Get her to lie on her back and breathe. Is she- Is she in labor?"

Catherine glared at her. "She's only 8 months! How the fuck am I meant to know?" Mandy raised her arms in defence.

Sorry if the quality is shoddy, but it's 5.30am in England and I'm about to leave the internet for a week. I wanted to give y'all something since it's been so long. Tanith.
