Chapter 19 It's A Boy Girl Thing!
Claire's P.O.V
I wonder what Shane's going to say when he sees me. His popularity is important to him and if anything even comes close to ruin that I could only imagine what he would do. But he deserved everything he got, I mean how dare he tell me I don't get male attention and that I have no friends, Shane doesn't even know me. Every time I think about what he said and the way he acted I get so angry, so when do go out with Sandra on a date I will be sure to make it the most romantic night ever, I want to make it so romantic that she talks about it to the school. Then at least people can hear about Shane and how great his night went with the schools nerd.
Also whilst I'm angry with him I decided that today I will wear some of Shane nerdy looking clothes he has, I mean my look today will totally go well with Sandra's. I cant wait to see Shane today.
Shane's P.O.V
If Claire thinks that she is going to get away with asking Sandra out she is very wrong, I'm going to make sure Claire learns that she can never do anything like that to me and think that everything is ok. So today's the day Claire's going to get what's coming to her.
I strutted into school making sure I was able to turn heads of all the boys, its funny really because the boys who whistle at me are my friends, they have no idea there really whistling at me. As soon as I reached my locker I saw Michael and...well Claire standing there talking to each other. Claire must have felt me staring because she turned and locked eyes with me. Instead of glaring at her I smiled and turned back to my locker. Claire wants me to react to her stupid little plan she made to get back at me, so it will make her more angry if I just don't react to it. Besides her asking Sandra out on a date is nothing compared to what I'm going to do, I just cant wait to see Claire's reaction.
At the end of the day.
Claire's P.O.V
It angers me that Shane isn't reacting to me, all day he has done nothing but smile at me. We haven't said a word to each other all day and I totally expecting him to confront me about what Id done, but instead he just smiles at me like nothings happened. I mean it worries me that he's smiling, it's almost like any minute now something bad is going to happen to me.
'Hi Shane' I heard a voice said. I turned around to see Sandra stood there.
'Hi' I smiled.
'So I was thinking, tonight I'm not doing anything so if you would like...we...I mean you...I mean...'She trailed of not able to finish her sentence.
'I'm not busy tonight either' I told her.
She grinned 'Cool...so why don't we go on that date you talked about before?'
'That sound perfect, I'll come over tonight. You have my number? You text me your address' I said.
'Ok!' She smiled, she then turned around and walked away. I could see some people looking over at me with wondering looks, they are probably wondering why im going out with a girl like her, I mean she's definitely not Shane's type. If Shane's going to act like he's not angry at me for asking Sandra out on a date then I'm going to make sure that tonight goes so well that me and Sandra are the talk of the school, that way Shane will have no choice but to hear about what everybody thinks about him. Better yet maybe his reputation is ruined, Shane wont be able to smile at me if I'm the one who ruined his reputation. I smiled to myself and walked out o the school.
Shane's P.O.V
I waited for Claire to come out the school, in order for me to get my plan perfect the timing needs to be perfect. Claire noticed me as soon as she walked out the school doors, she smiled at me for a second before she spoke.
'Hello Shane' She said.
'Hi' I said.
'How have you been? Heard anything new recently?' She asked.
I stared at her' Don't act stupid Claire, we both know how intelligent you are. Do you think asking Sandra out would make things better for you?'
She stared at me for a moment 'I did that for a reason Shane, maybe next time you learn your lesson and not say such harsh things the next time we talk to each other. You need to realise that what you said was wrong and you need to apologise'
I laughed 'I'm not apologising for anything. Do you really think that asking Sandra out will help me learn a lesson? Your clever enough to realise that what you did will only made things worse for you'
'Theres nothing you can do Shane' She said.
'Oh really?' I asked. Right then I heard the sound of a motorbike starting, I turned around and smiled.
'What can you do Shane?' Claire asked me.
I turned around to face her again and smiled 'You know what Claire if you want to play these games, then game on'.
I spun around and walked away from her, only to feel a grip on my arm and spin me back around.
'What does that mean Shane?' Claire questioned me.
I pulled my arm out of her grip and smiled at her 'Lets just say that tonight you lucky night'.
I turned back around and ran over to Nicky who was sat on his motorbike smiling at a bunch of girls walking past.
'Nicky!' I shouted, he looked at me and smiled.
'Get on' He told me whilst looking me up and down. I smiled at him as I jumped on the back of his motorbike, I then turned back to Claire and winked at her.
'Put your helmet on' Nicky told me, I did as he said and wrapped my arms around his waist. He then drove off away from the school and I smiled to myself, Claire should take this as a lesson to not mess with The Shane Collins.
