I am about done with this story, so there is probably only going to be two or three more chapters (assuming I feel the same about it a week from now). This is me trying to express my gratitude to you all who are reading and reviewing, because I know how pissed off I get when something just ends leaving everything unresolved. Y'all are the reason I know I am not terrible at this, because writing is really what I want to do with my life. This was just a test run, using someone else's characters so I wouldn't humiliate myself with my own. And I still cannot figure out line breaks.
Sadly, the sexy beast that is Jared Booth will not be making an appearance in the fic, he will however be making a pit stop in my dreams. He is definitely the most endearing, albeit messed up, of the Booth brothers.
Mondays were the worst. Somewhere between Booth's fourth and seventh call asking how she was she had fallen asleep in her office. He was becoming more and more of an annoyance with each passing week.
Temperance awoke to call number seven. When she picked up the phone a panicked Seeley was on the other end.
"Bones, Thank god. I called a thousand times."
"I think that is an exaggeration." She pulls the cell phone away from her face and looks at the screen. "I only have two missed calls, Booth."
"I was about to get in my car and come over there." He wasn't kidding.
"That is not necessary, I was just taking a nap." She was beginning to get bored with their conversation; they had it at least twice a week. She began was reading one of her grad students' term papers that sat on the top of her desk. 'I really need to start grading these.' She thought, followed by a shrug and an 'it can wait.'
"Bones, are you listening to me?"
"I'm sorry, what?"
"Have you had lunch?"
"Booth, I am not a child."
"You're right." He rolled his eyes, "I just wanted to make sure you were taking care of yourself."

"Where's Bones?" Booth neared a shout as he walked through the sliding glass doors of the Jeffersonian.
"In her office." A very confused Angela Montenegro answered.
"Thanks." He marched off in the direction Angela pointed.
"What's that about?" Jack asked looking up from a stainless steel tray.
"I have no idea."
"Hey Bones." He said cheerily as he walked into her office and let the door close back behind him.
"What are you doing here Booth?" She feigned annoyance.
"I thought you could use a break."
"I need to get some work done. I have a job to do here. I am going to have to work late as it is because I fell asleep earlier."
"Well, since you're here late anyway, then you can break for lunch." He dropped a brown paper bag on top of the papers on her desk.
"Booth, I told you I was fine." She picked the bag up and peered inside, contradicting her words.
"And you expected me to listen?"
"As much as I appreciate the food," She was already eating the crinkle cut fries out of the Styrofoam container. "You cannot treat me like a child. I am perfectly capable of taking care of myself."
He sat in the chair on the opposite side of her desk. Allowing her far too much time to think about what was going on right that moment.
"I don't think this is going to work out." She said, just before taking a mouth full of pie.
"What?"
"You and me." She continued to eat, "Sure, I like that you are trying to take care of me, but it is out of obligation. Your son is the reason you feel so protective of me."
"You're wrong."
"I can't get used to not being alone."

"What was that about?" Angela asked Brennan as she climbed the forensic platform, her very pregnant frame was making it harder every day.
"Booth is the father of my child." Temperance stated nonchalantly causing Mr. Addy to drop a stack of files. Papers fluttered to the floor.
Temperance ignored the commotion caused by her assistant and wandered over to the skeleton to do her job, for the first time all day. "This does not mean we are in a relationship."
"Sure it doesn't Sweetie."
*****THESE ARE LINE BREAKS, IN CASE YOU WERE WONDERING*****
"We can work this out." Seeley grabbed Temperance by the shoulders so she could not run away from him. Not again.
"Don't touch me." She replied. Her small hands had proving ineffective at shoving him away from her.
"Here you are eight months pregnant with my son and he asks you on a date!" He was angrier at the fact that she considered it than he was that she had been asked. "He deserved to get his lights knocked out."
"We" she motioned between them with her hands, "are not together." Her gaze darkened "and he asked me if I wanted to go to a lecture, which is hardly a date. Why shouldn't he ask me on a date? I am a very attractive woman."
"We're not together?" he huffed, faking a laugh, "Well, I missed that memo. You know? Since we've been sleeping in the same bed for the past month."
"I told you yesterday that I couldn't do this."
"And, I told you yesterday that you didn't have a choice. I am not going anywhere."
"You are the one who does not have a choice." She shoved his chest with the palms of her hands one last time. "This is me breaking up with you, which is absurd because we were never in a relationship." She sighed "Don't worry; I have no intentions of keeping our son away from you."
"No." He was baffled by her. At any given moment ten different emotions could flash across her face and in an instant she would be made of stone. "This is not over." He scraped his hand through his short hair.
"It has to be." She looked down not able to see her feet.
"Temperance, look at me." She hesitated for a minute, the looked straight into his eyes. "I love you." He had loved her since the moment they met.
She stared up at him for a few moments, and then her gaze softened.
"I am 35 years old and this is the first relationship I have ever taken seriously." He admitted. "You are the first thing that has ever meant everything to me."
"He's not my type anyway." Brennan smiled, and meant it.
He ran his hands through her hair, bringing her close and kissing her deeply.

"How do you feel about the name Nathaniel?" Temperance was not yet used to such a domestic scene, and she was most definitely not willing to admit that she was enjoying it.
She nestled herself into his side as they sat on the sofa. They were trying to agree on a name for their son.
"It's too long. How is our kid going to learn how to write that in kindergarten?"
"I managed just fine." She shrugged.
"But, with my average genes, he might just have to take remedial math; he needs to at least get the name at the top of the paper right."
"Don't sell yourself short, Booth." She turned to look at his face. "You are quite brilliant."
"Thanks, Bones." Seeley took her face in his hands and kissed her hard.
When he finally released her she stood, took his hand and began walking toward the bedroom. He wasn't about to argue.
He laid her down gently on the bed, afraid that she might break. She was unsure of her very pregnant body, but he put all of those thoughts to rest when she saw the way he was looking at her naked form with such love, and longing.
He moved slowly within her, in stark contrast to the only other time that they had had sex. That night was hard and fast and they had been drunk, but this time it was different.
He would have called it making love.

"I've just thought of the perfect name for the baby." Brennan smiled. Her naked body curled against his.
"What's that?" His curiosity was peaked. His hand rested on the swell of her stomach.
"Noah." She was very proud of having come up with it. "it means peaceful."
"Noah Booth? I like it."
"Who said that the baby was going to have your last name?" Temperance acted offended but she was fooling no one.
"Because I plan on you having it one day too."
