Chapter XXIV

"Jin-Jinguji…" Masato whispered as he closed the door of their home behind him.

"Yes?" Ren asked, his back to the blue haired male.

Masato swallowed hard and squeezed his beige jacket with both of his hands; he was so nervous and afraid. However he wanted to know more about Jinguji and his ex girlfriend. No, not just about his ex girlfriend; he wanted to know every single thing about the blond. Even though they had known each other for two months and had been living together for one week now, Masato didn't know anything about Jinguji. Well in truth he knew, he knew how he was. Jinguji had difficulty showing his true feelings, even though he was idiot he was pleasant, concerned, careful, thoughtful… Masato loved every little thing about him, from his voice to his smile and light blue eyes. Jinguji was unique and special. He was so important to him that he didn't know how to restrain his strong feelings anymore. It was just unfair; if people had such deep intense feelings for someone why did they have to silence them? Why couldn't they simply tell them how loved by them they were? Why couldn't they say how much they cared about them? How much they thought about them? Yes, it was true; Jinguji Ren possessed his entire mind to the point of not letting him think about anything else.

The blue haired male took a deep breath and continued "Have you ever had a girlfriend?" His voice low yet audible, the blond just answered without moving.

"No." Masato squeezed tightly his jacket and asked again.

"T-Then you never fallen in love with anyone?"

"No." The blond answered without taking too long, and Masato bit his lower lip hard and thinking

"Then who is Sakura? Eh… Is he lying? Why is he lying to me? I asked Otoya-kun why they broke up, but he said he couldn't tell me so I should ask Jinguji. But how? What can I do? I want to know more about him. I want to know who Sakura is."

On the other hand Ren was also disturbed by Hijirikawa's question. Not because he reminded him about Sakura with those questions, the only person he had loved, but because of her. It had to be her. She was the only person they had seen after leaving Otoya's house, besides she was the only person who could leave Hijirikawa nervous and embarrassed.

"Ah Jinguji-san, Hijirikawa-san how are you? I haven't seen you lately? Oh, Hijirikawa-san congratulations I heard from my brother that you got second place at the piano contest. I didn't know you played the piano… C-Can I c-compose a song for you?" Haruka asked, her cheeks tinted with a slight pink and her lips smiling warmly at the blue haired teen who was looking at her dazzled. The more he saw her, the more beautiful she looked to him. His heart was beating more intensely than usual and he couldn't understand why, yet right now he didn't want to think about this. He just wanted to enjoy this pleasant moment, especially after her question.

"Y-Yes I… I-It would be a pleasure playing something composed by y-you." Masato answered stuttering, his cheeks also pink and his body slightly trembling.

"Tsk" Ren's mouth uttered the low sound, he then cleared his throat and said "Oye Hijirikawa, I've something to do so let's go." Masato looked at him and the blond looked away, which left the blue haired teen confused. Yet he didn't argue back.

"Eh, I'm sorry I didn't want to interrupt you. Then we will talk Tuesday, because Jinguji-san…" Haruka looked at the blond and continued "All of you have to practice next week, since Friday you will have a small performance." She finished with a smile.

"Yes, yes I know. Tuesday we will talk, bye Lady. Let's go Hijirikawa." The blond said returning the smile, which faded away with his last sentence. Masato frowned; he didn't understand why Jinguji was moody a few minutes ago, when they had left Otoya's house, the blond was in a good mood, yet now he was strange. Had Masato done something to annoy him? If so what? They had barely spoken; Jinguji was walking a few steps ahead of him and smiling warmly just like inside Otoya's garage during their touching moment, but now he wasn't smiling anymore. And even if he had returned the smile to Nanami Masato knew very well that smile wasn't his true smile. Why?

"Ah Hijirikawa-san you too, please come to my house Tuesday with Jinguji-san. Your song will be finished." The redheaded girl said, to which Masato nodded and smiled softly.

"Hijirikawa." The blond called him a few steps away from him already.

"Eh, yes sorry." Masato apologized following Jinguji.

Was he… in love with her?

"So what if he is? You have nothing to do with that Ren, good for him. Tsk" Ren thought clenching his fists lightly.

"So there isn't anyone special for you Jinguji?" Masato's voice sounded in his ears again, low as before… No, this time lower almost a whisper that hurt him in an unknown way.

"Why the hell are you asking me that? Ah wait, I know the reason..." Ren turned around surprising Hijirikawa who widened his dark blue eyes "Are you interested in someone? Maybe Lady, since she was the only one we saw today besides Otoya. And if I remember well, you fell for her when you first saw her." Ren finished making Hijirikawa more and more confused.

"Eh? No, I…" Masato tried to speak, yet the blond interrupted him with his incomprehensible words one more time. Why was he saying all that? Why was he speaking in an arrogant tone? Was he really upset? If so why? The blue haired teen didn't understand Jinguji at all, and he wanted to understand him so much.

"I know I said you didn't have any chance with her, but I was joking. I just wanted to tease you because I hated you, you were annoying after all. But in truth I don't know so go ahead, maybe she can fall for you too." Ren said smiling bitterly, he couldn't comprehend why but his own words were upsetting him; strangely hurting him. What sensation was this? Why had he said that to Hijirikawa if in truth he didn't want to tell him that? And even more incomprehensible, why didn't he want to tell him that? Ren clenched his fists tightly and turned his back to the blue haired male again, walking to their room; however Hijirikawa prevented him by grasping his orange sweatshirt softly. Masato's heart hurt. Jinguji's smile and words weren't true so they had reached his heart painfully like needles. It was true that whenever he was with Nanami his heart beat faster and his body began to tremble slightly, yet he didn't feel with her what he felt with Jinguji. He didn't feel that cozy sensation inside him; connecting his heart with his stomach making the butterflies travel all over his body. He didn't want to hug her as he wanted to hug Jinguji. He didn't want to feel her as he wanted to feel Jinguji. Yet mostly, he didn't want her love as he wanted Jinguji's, she wasn't as special as him. It was also true that he didn't know the reason why Jinguji was upset; however he wanted to clarify this misunderstanding.

"I-I don't know why you are upset Jinguji, but… I-I don't want you to have the wrong idea. I don't l-love Nanami, I only asked that because I…" Masato explained interrupting his own speech. He shouldn't have said those last words, yet it was stronger than him.

"You…?" Ren asked turning around, facing the blue haired teen who was grasping his orange sweatshirt still. Yet suddenly he blushed slightly and released Ren's clothes avoiding his eyes.

"I-I was just explaining that to you, now I have to go to make dinner." Masato said walking a few steps toward the kitchen even without taking off his jacket, yet the blond grabbed his wrist and insisted

"Because you what Hijirikawa?"

"I-I already told you." Masato said without facing him, which upset Jinguji the most and he knew it very well. The blond had already told him so many times how much he hated whenever people ignored him, yet right now Masato couldn't help it. He had to ignore him by avoiding his insistence and gaze. He knew that if he asked about Sakura then he would only upset the blond even more, and he didn't want to. Today had been such a special day and he didn't want to spoil it with his selfish desires.

"Please Hijirikawa, tell me." Ren begged him whispering deeply, making the blue haired teen look at him quickly; his dark blue orbs completely widened in surprise, anxiety and fear. Although now it was too late already, whenever the blond talked to him with this concerned tone of voice Masato couldn't resist.

"I only asked all that because I… I want to…" The fear was blocking Masato, yet Jinguji's hand slipped to his grabbing it slightly; such an action just made him feel even more nervous and afraid, yet in a way it also gave him courage to continue. Even if he didn't know Jinguji so well, the little he knew about him made him believe that the blond would never get angry at him.

"I want to know about S-Sakura-san." He finally said, clenching his eyes tightly to expel out all the nervousness; especially all the fear out of his being.

"How… do you…" Ren began to say, yet he stopped to sigh and then continued again "I will kill Otoya."

"D-Don't! I-I promised to Otoya-kun that I wouldn't tell you anything, but I…" Masato explained however once again he was regretting his own words.

"Damn you Masato, not again!" He thought looking away again.

"You?" Ren insisted one more time. Somehow he was anxious to know the reason.

"Geez, I don't want to tell him… It's so embarrassing!" The blue haired teen thought, his dark blue eyes shut tightly as if he wanted to avoid everything around him.

"Hijirikawa?" The blond insisted again, this time pulling him closer, which made Masato face him again. Jinguji's light blue eyes were intensely looking at him, consuming his heart little by little. Masato knew that Jinguji's eyes were also begging him to continue, and the blue haired male just couldn't resist. Jinguji Ren was his Achilles' heel.

"This bastard… he always gets what he wants. But one day I will resist you! Tsk" Masato thought sighing in acceptance.

"I want… to know more about you." The blue haired teen finally admitted lowering his flushed face, his body wildly trembling so that even Ren could feel. However he was shocked, he didn't know what to think or to say. He didn't even know if he had heard Hijirikawa right. Yet his words were echoing inside his head, over and over again like a spell, deeply, intensely, strongly pumping his heart. Making him to feel weaker as he had never felt before and with anyone. Without even realizing it his own body was also shaking as fiercely as Hijirikawa's. His light blue eyes completely opened in astonishment and before he could restrain himself, his body acted on its own walking forward and trapping Hijirikawa's body against one of the walls next to the front door.

Masato was also shocked, his back against the cold wall yet his front being filled with Jinguji's cozy warmth. His body shaking wildly still, yet right now his heart was intensely pounding like all the butterflies were flying through all his being; weakening him. He swallowed hard and squeezed Jinguji's sweatshirt tightly between his long thin fingers.

Ren swallowed hard as if he wanted to take control of the rest of his own consciousness, however at that instant he couldn't. He was too weak; too absorbed by Hijirikawa's revelation.

"Jin-Jinguji what is happening with-" Masato began to ask however the blond couldn't restrain those words anymore, so his mouth asked his most deep and intense feelings on its own.

"Can I kiss you?" Jinguji's words had reached his being so deep down like a fierce hurricane, causing him to lose his balance yet the blond quickly supported him by embracing his body gently.

"I will… kiss you." The blond warned already bringing his lips closer to Masato's. The blue haired teen wanted to push him away, rejecting his kiss, he would only be hurt anyway, however he was reminded of a few words that Otoya had told him before Jinguji had returned to his garage again.

"Né Masa-chan, I'll tell you a secret about Ren. Do you want to know?" The red haired teen asked and Masato only nodded. "Do you know, Ren had never kissed anyone besides Sakura-chan. Even if he has different girls with him every day, even if he does… well you know what, he never kisses them."

"EH? H-How do you know Otoya-kun?" The blue haired teen asked completely shocked by the sudden revelation.

"Well I heard him talking with Tokiya, they were both having a conversation about I don't know what and suddenly I heard him say that. He said that a kiss represents much more to him than sex."

At the time that Otoya had told him that, he couldn't understand anything at all, and right now he wasn't able to comprehend those words. How could a kiss represent much more than sex? Having sex was such an intimate act that compared with a kiss of course sex won. Yet that wasn't the most important. The most important was the fact that since Sakura, Jinguji had never kissed anyone again; which meant that Hijirikawa Masato would be the second person to feel his lips. So how could Masato reject Jinguji's kiss knowing all this? Even if he wanted; even if he fought with all his might against it, his heart would never let him resist. After all Masato loved Jinguji so much that he couldn't control such strong feelings anymore.

Ren continued leaning his mouth closer and closer to Hijirikawa's, their breaths colliding with each other tickling their lips until the blond finally connected them, gently pressing them together. The tender touch, the softness, the warmth, the breath, the intense deep feelings and desires. Everything was being exchanged between their gentle kiss where only their lips were being pressed against each others as if it was the first kiss for both, when in truth Hijirikawa Masato had already kissed his own cousin, Takahashi Keita and Jinguji Ren had already kissed his ex girlfriend, Sakura. However their kiss right now could overcome all the kisses they had shared before with someone else, because it was their first kiss.
