Riki's POV
"What-" I stuttered. "Why the hell is he talking to Kikyan's parents?!"
"You don't think he's up to no good do you?" Kenshi questioned afterwards.
Standing there talking to Kikyan's parents was no other than our enemy the White Raccoon himself.
"Tch…" I sighed and tilted my head to the side. Well… He's just talking to them so I guess it's not that bad. I sat next to the others who were sitting by the counters. (Inside of the counter, towards the kitchen…) "What could go wrong?" I shrugged. I regretted jinxing myself…
(Chime)
We all turned to see Kikyan standing there not looking towards us, but at her parents. She had a short blue dress with light blue heels. Her hair was tied in a half pony-tail with a light blue flower hair clip. We all stared in awe as she slowly walked towards her parents.
"Mom, dad." She broke into a smile and embraced both of them.
"Kikyan, you look beautiful." Her mother gasped.
"Haha, she took it from somebody." Her father chuckled and pats his daughter's shoulder. Her mother rolled her eyes.
"Haha, it's great seeing you guys again." Kikyan replied happily. "How are you guys anyway?"
"Great actually." They both replied.
"That's great then."
"Kikyan, this is Ryoichi Higurashi." Her mother introduced.
"W-What's going on?" I whispered to the others.
"What's this? A cover name?" Hiro titled his head in confusion.
"Don't know." Takuto replied and just… stared.
"Maybe her parents just know him." Kenshi suggested.
"Maybe." Boss nodded.
"So… This beautiful woman is going to be my future wife." 'Ryoichi' smiled.
"FUTURE WIFE?!" We all exclaimed out loud and quickly ducked under the counters. I felt as if everyone (Kikyan and the others) is now looking at the counters with curiosity.
"… Wow… So she's getting married." Boss whispered.
"But she didn't even finish college yet…" Kenshi protested.
"…" I was too shocked to say anything. All I could do was sit there frozen in place while listening to Kikyan talking.
"Um… Thank you… I'm… flattered…" Kikyan laughed nervously.

After getting up from the floor, I was once again sitting on a stool sipping my bear.
"You truly are beautiful… I feel sorry for the people who didn't have the 'chance to get you'…"
Feels like he's aiming those words at me… I thought bitterly. He was smirking at me! Ugh, I totally missed my chance… And now she's… getting married to someone else… But yesterday she just told me that she loved me only…
"Arranged marriage…" Takuto muttered to me.
"Huh?!" I jumped and stared at him.
"I can tell she's still thinking about you. Therefore, this is all an arranged marriage…" He explained. "Made by her parents…"
"Why though…?" I sighed and glanced at Kikyan, only to see her looking at me with sadness. I couldn't take it so I looked away…
"She's writing something…" Takuto whispered to me minutes later.
"Yeah, without her parents and the Raccoon knowing." Hiro added.
Looking at her, she was sitting cross-legged writing something on a small notebook.
"Since you're done eating, why don't you two go for a walk around?" Her mother suggested.
"Um… Alright…" Kikyan slowly nodded and 'Ryoichi' took her by the hand.
"!" I was shocked.
"Damn that bastard… That should've been you Riki…" Boss stated.
Clearly everyone else was angry at this as I was… Those two started heading out when…
(Thud)
"Oh! I'm sorry!" Kikyan slightly bowed to me.
"Umm… It's fine." I replied and felt something slipping into my hands. "?"
"…" She bowed again and they left.
"Did she just purposely bump into you?!" Takuto raised his eyebrows with confusion written on his face.
"… Yeah…"
"Why did she do that?" Hiro inquired and I stared at the neatly folded piece of paper in my hand.
"Because she wanted to give me this…" I replied and gently unfolded the paper. Everyone started crowding around, but I didn't mind… I was too curious about the note…
'Dear Riki,
So much has happened I don't know where to start… Well… I should explain about what happened just now… For starters, the last time I was at LRN, my parents called me saying that they made an arranged marriage for me. I couldn't accept it at first… But we broke up already and I didn't know what to say. I want my parents to be happy… But most of all, I wanted you to be happy… You said you wanted me to live a happy life, but how could I live a happy life when you're not in it? Still, I plan on rejecting him later. But what will I say to my parents? I lied to them saying that I'm not seeing anyone… Does that mean we will be apart forever?

I carefully fold it back up and slowly exhaled.
"Told you it was arranged." Takuto said.
"…" I kept thinking about the last sentence. 'Does that mean we will be apart forever?' I swallowed. "No."
"What?" Everyone looked at me.
"… We won't be apart forever…" I repeated.
"…" They all looked at me with concern.
"I'll find a way to get her back…"
"But didn't you say you couldn't take her because you're a…" Kenshi whispered the next part. "Black Fox?"
"…" I thought. I did say that… But seeing her with someone else hurts… But what can I do about it?
Hiro's POV
We all still stared at Riki's conflicted expression. How can we help him? It's obvious he still has romantic feelings for her… "We'll find a way…" I pat him on the shoulder.
"Thanks."
"Yeah! We're the Black Foxes! We'll find a way to help our leader!" Kenshi said quietly and pumped his fist in the air.
"YEAH!"
Kikyan's POV
I wonder if Riki read the note… I thought as Ryoichi and I walked on the sidewalk.
"… Something bothering you?"
"Huh?! Oh! Nothing…" I quickly replied and continued thinking.
"Your eyebrows are furrowing…" He laughed and gently poked me between the eyebrows.
"Haha, sorry…" I smiled a little. "Just thinking about… This marriage…"
"It's crazy huh…"
"Yeah." I sighed. I can't see myself with another guy other than Riki in my mind… I thought as we continued our walk.
Several Weeks Later…
Kikyan's POV
Riki and I haven't been talking to each other for a couple of weeks now… It hurts and I cry in my room every night. Without waking up Ranko thank goodness…
"Kikyan! You're going to be late if you keep this up!" Ranko snapped me back to reality.
"Sorry Ranko…"
"Is something wrong?"
"No, sorry to make you worry. Thanks for breakfast! Bye!"
"See ya!"

"Damn it…" I ran towards my classroom. "5 minutes left and I'm going to be late!" I'm not going to make it…
(RIIIIINNNNGGG)
"Huh?!" I stopped. "The fire alarm?!" Students started rushing out of the classroom. "?!" I watched as Hiro was proudly walking over to me.
"Howdy doody!" He sang.
"Hiro?!" I exclaimed. "What's going on?"
"Saves you a tardy." He gently pushed my back towards the exit.
"Don't tell me you hit the alarm?!"
"Hehe of course not… I texted Takuto too…"
"WHAT?!"
"Now let's keep going, we don't wanna be the only ones here!" Hiro sang again and we rushed out of the school.

Hiro's POV
It was noon and we were all eating lunch. Kikyan and I sat in our usual table. "So…" I started and Kikyan looked at me. "How come you were late? Something happen?"
"… Slept late."
"Homework?"
"…"
"Riki?"
"!"
"Thought so…" I sighed and took a bite out of my sandwich. "Riki's been depressed ever since he saw the Raccoon- I mean Ryoichi hanging out with you." She looked up again with suspicion, but reluctantly continued eating slowly. "Phew…" I sighed in relief when some of Kikyan's friends asked her questions about a project.
Once they left, Kikyan stared at the table. "I don't want this marriage…"
"…" I glanced at her profile. She looked depressed and it was as if she was crying every night… "! Kikyan…"
"But my parents always wanted for me to be happy. What should I tell them?"
"… Hmm…" I thought for a long while. "To be honest, if they love you so much, they would accept any decision you make. They just don't want to make a decision that you will regret."
"… I'll talk to them about it. Thanks Hiro."
"Yup!"

I was about to tell my parents, but seeing them so excited, I just couldn't… Ryoichi asked me out to dinner…
"This is a nice place." I said in awe as I glanced around in a fancy restaurant.
"Good thing I chose this place then…" Ryoichi smiled happily.
It would've been nice if Riki was the one who brought me here…
"Kikyan, is something wrong?" He looked up from the menu.
"Oh no, it's nothing…"
"Um… Alright…"
I slowly held the menu up and took out my phone. I don't care what anyone says, I'm going to text Riki.
'Hey.'
'Hey Kikyan.'
'Listen Riki. You might be mad since I didn't tell you about this whole thing beforehand.'
'Heh, it's fine. Don't worry about it.'

'Where are you right now?'
'At a restaurant.'
'With 'him'?'

'How have you been doing?'
'Hahh… Working was pretty hectic nowadays.'

"Huh?!" I dropped my phone onto my lap and pulled down the menu, only to see Ryoichi with a confused face.
"Haha, you look like you're concentrating hard on that menu. Pick whatever you like, I'll pay."
"Um… Okay…" I gave a nervous smile and quickly picked up my phone.
'I love you too Kikyan.'
"!" My eyes started stinging as my tears threaten to fall. "Excuse me." I bowed and left.

I turned to go out the back way of the restaurant. I then dialed Riki's phone number.
"Hello?"
"Riki."
"Kikyan, is something wrong?"
"I… I LOVE YOU TOO!"
"!"
"I mean…" I stuttered when people glanced at me with confusion. "I love you too…" I muttered more quietly.
"Heh. Send me a picture of your face."
"?"
"It's probably beet red by now."
"! Riki!"
"Haha, that's cute."
"Riki, I miss you so much."
"I miss you too Kikyan."
"Riki! Can you take the order from table 2?" I heard Atsumu calling.
"Damn it, do I have to?" Riki cursed.
"Can you?" Atsumu questioned.
"Hahh… Fine. But you owe me." Riki reluctantly gave in.
"For what?" Atsumu demanded in a nice way.
"For interrupting my important phone call."
"Sorry sorry."
"Hey, why are you guys copying me?!" Hiro's voice exclaimed over the phone.
I couldn't help, but laugh.
"Kikyan?" Riki inquired.
"Reminds me of when we were a lot younger."
"Keh, is does huh…"
"Yanase! They're still waiting!" Atsumu called.
"Yeah yeah." Riki gave an annoyed sigh. "Hold on Kikyan. I'm gonna put my phone in my pocket alright?"
"Okay."
"Hello, what would you like to order?"
I could hear Riki even though his phone's in his pocket…
"Oh my goodness! You're so cute!" A voice exclaimed.
"Are you available?" Another chimed in.
"!" I couldn't help, but have my mouth hang open. Are they hitting on him?! I painfully waited for Riki's reply.
"I'm sorry, but I already have a girlfriend. So can we please stick with the ordering so I can get back to her? She's holding my call."
"Oh um…" They both muttered.
"!" Riki just called me his girlfriend! The way he was talking to them was pretty cold, but for some reason, I was happy. xD
After the ordering, Riki started talking. "Sorry about that, um… You didn't hear anything did you?"
"Me? No why?" I asked innocently.
"Oh! N-nothing!"
I tried to hold my laugher as he was flustering, at the other end of the line.
"Hey… Are you laughing at me?"
"Maybe?" I replied slowly.
"Heh." He chuckled. "So you did hear huh…?"
"Hear…?"
"Wha-?! So you didn't hear me saying anything?"
"Hear what?" I playfully asked.
"Nothing! N-Nothing at all! Anyway, weren't you eating dinner with what's his name?"
"With Ryoichi, yeah. But I wanted to hear your voice."
"Me too."
"I just can't believe I'm marrying him. I tried talking to my parents, but seeing them so happy. I can't…"
"Don't worry I'll figure this out okay?" Riki said softly.
"You will?"
"I promise."
"Alright."
"I'll start planning, you should go eat. It's free food."
"Haha, alright. Make sure you eat and get plenty of rest then."
"Yes mother."
"Haha, very funny."
"Heh, love you Kikyan."
"I love you too Riki." I smiled and hung up, unaware that I was being watched…
