26. Chapter 25

Well guys sorry this is a tiny bit late. You know just the normal very busy schedules so um this is short so enjoy!

I sat there, holding my breath in that barn basement, think I would never see the light again as I heard climb down the stairs. I peeked my head around the corner to see him walking to the wall of photos and open his folder in his hand. He took out several photos and put them up. They were from today.

They were of Sarah. All of them.

"Sarah, oh Sarah." He said, putting
his hand on the photos "what a pretty name, for such a pretty face too. Such a shame I have to kill you, but anything for my poor Sophia, my poor sister. If only your dad would've been compliant. I hope he learns his lesson."

I looked back to see Sarah's head against the dark concrete wall. Her eyes closed. A tear on her cheek. I looked down to see AJ, crouching below me, recording it all on his phone.

Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Kayla nudge Sarah, and pint to something a foot above the floor on the wall. It started to glowing faintly and I saw it was in the shape of Sarah's locket. Sarah nodded and bent down, putting the locket in the hole. I watched as a hole in the wall appeared. About a foot high and a foot and a half feet wide. We nodded at each other and crawled through the hole. We crawled farther and farther. I heard the door behind us close, but we kept going and going. When we finally reach another door, Sarah opens it and we crawl through to find another old study.

"Where are we?" Oliver asks

"I don't know, but look, more necklaces." Kayla said, pointing to a desk "I say we each grab one."

After we each grabbed an ancient-looking amulet, I still have a question "How are we going to get out of here?"

"I don't know that either." Jake shrugs

Soon Sarah notices something "look at this wall, there's something different about it. Here's a word, '1890' and a button." She pushes the button and the wall opens "were in the Anubis cellar."

"So your telling me we found a secret tunnel from the barn-basement in the woods all the way to a secret study in our basement?" Jake asks "What's other tunnels are in this place? Dear lord."

"I think we need to talk to Robert Frobisher Smythe, well, Robert Senior to learn that. Too bad Roberts dead." Oliver replies

"True, but right now, I don't care about Robert Senior, even though it would be cool to meet the man I was named after..." I say "we need a plan. We need to save Sarah's life."
