May's P.O.V:

"Where is she?" Drew asked, slamming open the door.

"Where's who?" I asked innocently, I was so nervous. What should I do now? Drew walked into my room and shut the door.

"You know who I'm talking about. Where's Dawn? She should have been home before 6:30," he said seriously, just like the other time on the phone.

I stared down at the floor. I've never found the floor so interesting before.

"I-I can't tell you," I muttered, not looking up.

"Why not?" he started getting impatient. What happened to him? He's so worried. All Dawn told me was that she was going to buy Drew a birthday present, she wouldn't have taken that long.

"Because she told me not to," I murmured.

"May, this is serious. She could be hurt," Drew exclaimed. I hated to see him so worried.

I was sitting on my bed, and Drew walked over and sat next to me.

"May, look at me." He was mad, it sounded like he was controlling himself from complete fury.

I refused to look at him, I couldn't give in.

"Damn it May." He used his thumb and index finger to lift my chin up so I would look at him.

"Where is she?" he gritted through his teeth.

"I can't tell you," I said softly. I swear I saw his eyes soften for a second, before returning back into a stern gaze.

"May, tell me now!" he raised his voice. I actually felt scared of him.

"S-she… she went to buy you a birthday present," I said quietly.

"There is no way she went to buy me a birthday present. May, don't lie to me," he yelled.

"I'm not lying. She told me she had to go and buy you a birthday present. She didn't want you to know so it would be a surprise," I tried to explain.

"May, do you even know when my birthday is?" he calmed down a bit, but was still mad.

"Next Tuesday," I stated. I heard him sigh exasperatedly.

"My birthday's not for another seven months," he said. I suddenly became really confused.

"Whaa?" I asked.

"Looks like she lied to both of us," he said, more to himself than to me. We sat in silence for a few moments. Suddenly he stood up, startling me with his sudden actions, and started pacing around the room.

"How come she wouldn't tell me where she was going? Why would she lie to me? And May as well? What if something happens to her? It's not like it hasn't happened before. I should have looked after her more. She could be in so much danger. And I'm just sitting here." He started talking really really fast, and started panicking a bit.

"Drew, please calm down. I'm sure nothing's happened to her." I tried to calm him down.

"How do you know? How can you be so sure?" He was really mad now.

"I know Dawn. She's a smart girl, she wouldn't get herself in danger," I explained.

"No, there's a lot you don't know about her. I thought I knew her so well, until about three days ago I found out I didn't know about half her life!" he yelled.

I couldn't stand Drew yelling at me. It brought a few tears to my eyes, threatening to fall out.

Dawn came into the room quietly, but Drew didn't notice.

'I'm sorry,' Dawn mouthed to me. I gave her a small sad smile.

"Drew," she said quietly. Drew turned around the face her.

"Where in the world were you?!" he yelled. Dawn looked down at her feet and hesitated quite a bit.

"You know about my past, right? Well, I may have found a few answers. I met up with a close friend of my mother's." she said quietly. I was really confused now. Her past? What happened to her in the past? And answer, what answers are she talking about? Her mother's friend… if Dawn and Drew were siblings, shouldn't they have the same mother?

"Dawn, you know this is dangerous right? You got me so worried. I thought that… you know… may have happened again," he said in a softer tone.

She smiled slightly, "I know, I never meant for you to worry. I'm really sorry."

"We've really got to get going now. Mum and dad are waiting," Drew said. Dawn nodded.

"I'm really sorry May, and thank you for everything," she said to me.

What Drew said to me really made me think, how well did I really know Dawn?

"No, there's a lot you don't know about her. I thought I knew her so well, until about three days ago I found out I didn't know about half her life!"

They were siblings, and Drew didn't know about half her life? But they were so close. Also, I have no idea what happened to Dawn in the past. And what was that thing Drew mentioned?

"You got me so worried. I thought that… you know… may have happened again."

What had happened that made Drew so worried? There were millions of questions racing through my head. There's a lot I don't know about Dawn. I really want to help with whatever it is. I guess I've got to wait until tomorrow. Now, I just need a good night's rest.
