FINALLY! CHAPTER 20 FINALLY! It took me some time best said a long time to find inspiration but finally. Sorry for the long wait but here it is. Hope you guys like it and enjoy it. Your feedback is appreciated.
I do not own Skip Beat or any of its characters but I do own the craziness of the story. Also I want Ren waaaa. So here you go! Enjoy!
Last time on Blood Curse: So we find ourselves in the benign of a fight with Ren and his evil brother. So who is he? What does he want….. also what will happen to Kyoko?
He was angry but stayed in place in front of Kyoko. His brother smiled and took out an arrow and placed it on the ground. The ground began to shake and then a dark fog surrounded them.
"Up to your old games I see. You could never play fair."
"I would like to end this quickly, I have wasted enough time here. One last chance give me the girl." He said.
"Over my dead body." Ren said.
He stood and smiled as the transformation finished.
"As you wish." He said.
Kyoko somewhere
Kyoko sat by the tree and holding herself. She was freezing cold and could barely keep her eyes open. Natsu, Setsu, and Moi stood there looking across at the small pond in which Kyoko sat, on the island.
"Is there anything we can do to get her out of there?" asked Natsu.
"No, there's nothing we can do. Only she can get herself out of there." Moi said.
"Nii-chan would know what to do at a time like this." Setsu said.
"Your nii-chan is hiding, from the looks of it." Natsu said.
"No he's not…he's just busy.." Setsu said.
"Busy, sure he is." Natsu said.
"Enough! This is no time for fighting. We need to get that girl out of there before she dies." Moi said.
"She couldn't be that weak. If she was, we wouldn't be here."
"Her heart is broken into several shards, she has no escape for her past either. She's deciding on whether to allow her mind to die or to continue on."
"Hey, don't forget if you die, we die too!" said Natsu yelled.
"I want to see my nii-chan! You hear me so you can't die!" shouted Setsu.
"We can only wait and see what will happen. If she dies then there is no other choice but to die along with her."
"None of us want to die, you know as well as I do that's not an option." Natsu said.
"We have to find a way inside before it's too late." Setsu said.
Kyoko looked at the ground, which was being swallowed by the small lake around her. The coldness touched her bones and yet she didn't want to move. She could hear the shouts and screams becoming nothing but whispers…..
Back to Ren's transformation
"As you wish, dear brother. I did try to warn you but now it seems the time has come."
"Do you think I will let you take her?" Ren said.
"Now now, Koun, let's finish this quickly. You know finances and such businesses I have to take care of." He said.
Koun cracked his knuckles and then his neck and smiled. Kyoko was lost to the dark mist his brother smiled and then disappeared into the mist. He stood there trying to sense his location but found that there was no trace or even his scent.
"I see you learned a new trick," Koun said.
"Die." Said his brother.
He came from behind him and he dodged just barely, a piece of his suit was cut and there was a little of blood.
"You've lost your edge, little brother."
Koun looked around. He needed a weapon, but he was powerless at the moment, he continued to dodge as his brother continued to attack from the sides and his back. He was getting cut very easily at this point. Then Koun took out a small stone which resembled to Kyoko's but only this one was dark red and with a black aura around it. His brother only laughed.
"That puny thing!" he laughed.
"This puny thing will end this." Koun said.
Back to Kyoko
Kyoko tried to move but her body felt so heavy and she just wanted to sleep. She held herself more as the coldness began to seep into her heart. She looked at her hand and found a small stone, she remembered it was called corn, but the once brilliant color it would show had been taken away. It was now a colorless stone. A small light came from the small lifeless stone and sat by her. It grew to a human figure and placed it's shining arms around her.
"Don't be scared." Said the figure.
"Who…are you?" she asked in a weak voice.
"Me, someone who has come to help you."
"Why?" she asked in a weaker voice
"Have you ever seen how a fairy is born?" he asked.
"Fairy…birth…no." she said trying ot understand the words
"It's an amazing thing, would you like to see one?" he asked.
She nodded her head a tiny bit.
"Very well, just close your eyes and I will take you there."
"Okay." She said.
Moi watched as Kyoko closed her eyes, then she ran towards her but there was something that was holding them.
"KYOKO WAKE UP!" called Moi.
The other two couldn't move, they couldn't even speak. They looked to their hands and could see they were turning into stone.
"Wake up!" said Moi. yelled
They were completely stone. Kyoko could see the three turned to stone and her body being submerged into the water depths, but she felt nothing only emptiness.
"Come along." said the human bright figure.
She nodded and followed, she looked around and could see small little lights of many different colors shinning and hiding behind flowers. She could see they had entered a forest of sorts. He continued and then stopped at the center of the forest where there lay a meadow of white flowers of every kind. He kneeled and motioned for her to do the same.
"Long ago there was a small creature. This small creature loved the earth and the animals and everything it had to offer. Even so it was a sad little creature that had none of its own kind. It would see other animals and even the plants with others of it's kind. Still even with so many friends it became lonely and eventually became so saddened by it that it would weep." He said and then stopped.
"What happened?" she asked still in a weak voic
"This little creature wept for a long time. The earth and the moon and sun decided that it was too pitiful to leave as it was, so they decided they would help the small creature so it would not be alone. They used their power and allowed for the small creatures tears to become flowers….inside each one was born another small creature. Every last tear that small creature had shed had become more and more flowers and more small creatures were born from them. They would glimmer in the night sky and play with one another. Sadly the small creature had cried so much that it eventually began to lose its light."
"It was dying." She said.
"Yes, just as you are, Kyoko. You see this flower?" he asked.
He pointed to a small moon flower which was beginning to wilt.
"Why is it dying?"
"The other small creatures took good care of the small fairy who had given them life. The small fairy finally rested upon its flower and died peacefully with a tear which hit the earth. When the tear fell to the ground it had planted a seed."
"What was its wish?" she asked looking at him.
"That there be more and more small creatures born, to give humans the ability to allow it. Each tear a human sheds a flower is born and then the small creature comes into existence."
"Each tear?" she asked.
A small group of fairy came and landed on her own hands.
"Each one has a wish, either bad or good, they can only hold in the emotion and live on. Your flower is here wilting. You are not one of them where if they were to die then they would turn to a flower once again and be reborn as a new small creature."
Kyoko looked at the small fairy and then she could feel tears escaping her and falling to the ground. Small little flowers were beginning to come to the surface.
"It is not your time, Kyoko, if you allow you flower to wither, there will be nothing that will grow from it. The pain and sorrow is what humans must face. That is how it is meant to be, but now that there is always a small creature who will watch over you and send you its love for knowing you are alive another day. To laugh, to cry and to be seeing the bright sky." He said.
"Why? What's the point! It doesn't matter what I do, it changes nothing!" Kyoko cried.
"Kyoko, life is never easy, and it won't be easy from here on out. Do you really want to end it here? You are going through so many things. Do you just want it to end after everything you've faced? What of your friend Kanade the ones who care about you. The ones who are fighting for you? What of them? Will you let their efforts be in vain?" he asked.
Kyoko's tears continued and she could only see the ground.
"The world seems to be losing its light but it still shines brightly for those who can see its true beauty. Will you allow yourself to see its true beauty and the gifts it has for you or will you allow it to dim and become just another dimming light?" He said.
She covered her eyes, the tears fell to the ground and made more sproutlings to come into the new world.
"Its your choice whether to see the shining world even with its good and bad, or will you allow it to fade into darkness and never experience it even once. It will be your choice of either to sprout once again or wither for the earth to cry over." He said.
Kyoko sat there only with her eyes closed and then she felt something hit her knee gently. She opened her eyes and she could see a small fairy with the lifeless corn there. She picked it up in her hands and she could see nothing. The fairy flew into her hand and wiped a tear from her face and gently carried it to the lifeless corn. Corn absorbed the mixture and there was a small glimmer of light which shinned from it. The small fairy smiled and took another tear from her crying eyes and placed it in the ground. There a small white rose began to grow. Inside the white rose, there appeared a necklace with a pink stone within it.
The fairy looked at Kyoko and smiled. She looked at corn which was shining brightly and its color was returning.
"It's time to go home, Kyoko."
"Corn? Where are you?"
She gently grabbed the necklace and stood up. She watched her step, making sure she wouldn't step on any of the flowers. Her tears still falling from her face but she smiled now. Then she ran towards a bright blue door and opened it.
Back to Koun.
Koun bit into his hand and allowed for the stone to take the blood. As it did, he fell to the ground and would flinch. His brother smiled and attacked him with a sword he had. Koun barely moved and only seemed to meditate. As the sword cut through Koun, his body fell and there he lay facing the ceiling.
"Now to claim my prize."
The mist cleared and there Kyoko lay as a fragile doll. He kneeled and touched her cheek and cut a bit of her flesh to allow some blood to escape.. he passed his finger by the cut and marveled at her blood. He tasted it and smiled.
"Still well preserved. I suppose now is the time to end this. Brother, I will say farewell." He said.
Koun moved to his side and watched as his brother picked her up and headed for the door. Koun sat up and breathed in.
"PUT HER DOWN!" he yelled.
"Ah, I see you're still alive, and here I thought this would end well."
He saw a chair and gently placed her on the chair. He then went towards Koun and picked him up and smirked at him and threw him to the wall. Koun coughed and looked at his brother.
"You should have just stayed down." He said.
Koun smiled as his suit changed color. It was now black with red blood, and his green eyes grew brighter. Two black shadow appeared from behind Koun and then turned to black wings with blood dripping from the tips. He stood up and he dusted himself off. He was as good as new, then he looked at his brother and smiled.
"Hmm, I guess there is nothing else to do but fight.'
He said nothing and only smiled.
"Outside. Best keep the girl safe." said his brother.
The window was broken and they both flew out of it. They were above in the sky and staring at each other and waiting.
Kanade was on the ground breathing heavily as the mad hatter held his arm and laughed too much. Kanade stood up even though she was in pain and faced her enemy but stopped to see what was going on .
"How about we take a break?" she asked
"A break…okay." He agreed.
Back to Kyoko
Kyoko opened the blue door but was greeted with a dark room. She stepped through and wondered what was going on. The door closed and she tried to find it but to no avail.
"What is this place."
"The gateway is closed." Said a voice.
"Gateway? Where are you?"
A boy about 10 came out and looked at her with blank eyes.
"You're stuck here like I am." he said.
"What is this place."
"A place of nothing, you'll eventually get used to it." Said the little boy
"But, there has to be a way out…" she said
"There isn't one."
Kyoko felt a pain on her chest and she took a seat. The boy only looked at her and held her hand.
"It hurts for a while but eventually you forget the pain." He said.
"So we're stuck here? There has to be a way for someone to come and help us, isn't there?" Kyoko asked looking into the boy's lifeless eyes.
"No, no one will come." He said.
