Disclaimer: I don't own Pokemon.
Dawn's P.O.V:
I guess I'll just ask the Commander later. I shut the door behind me and called out Piplup. I always wanted to be a coordinator and I always play around saying, "Pokemon, spotlight!" so I guess I'll use that.
"Piplup, spotlight!" I did a mini twirl as I called out Piplup. Piplup gracefully landed on the floor and turned around to face me.
"Alright, ready to train?" I asked cheerfully. Piplup nodded eagerly.
"Okay, let's start with a bubble attack," I commanded. Piplup blew a series of many bubbles, better than I had expected. However, we still had a lot of work to do.
"Good job Piplup. How about a pound attack?" I asked. Piplup nodded.
"Alright! Piplup, with pound on that rock," I commanded, pointing to a rock on the arena.
"Pip, lup!" Piplup called and pounded the rock, smashing it into many tiny pieces.
"Good, let's try a peck attack. Aim it to that rock," I said, pointing to a larger rock.
Piplup's beak started to glow and it came into contact with the rock. The rock soon became many tiny little pieces, just like the other.
"Wow Piplup, you're great at this," I praised.
"Pip, pip, lup!" Piplup stood proud.
"Why don't we try bubblebeam?" I suggested. Piplup opened its beak and a series of bubbles quickly shot out of its mouth. Strangely, it seemed Piplup found it easier to perform bubblebeam compared to bubble.
"Piplup, do you find it easier to use bubblebeam than bubble?" I asked curiously. Piplup nodded.
Alright then, I guess we can forget about bubble and use bubblebeam instead. It is a lot stronger. I walked over to a machine which had lots of buttons on it. Apparently it was used to change the arena. I made more rocks appear onto the arena. Wow, this machine is just amazing.
"Piplup, let's try to strengthen your peck attack," I said.
"Pip, lup!" Piplup said in agreement.
"Use peck on all the rocks!" I yelled. Piplup went charging at the rocks which caused them to break. However, when he was charging at the third rock, his peak grew slightly longer, causing more damage. As he went on attacking the rocks, his beak grew slightly longer each time. But for the last four, his beak stayed the same length. When he was done, he was a bit tired but very proud.
"Good job Piplup! You were great," I praised.
"You're beak grew longer, causing more damage. You should try to make your beak longer each time you use peak, okay?" I explained. Piplup nodded.
"I guess we've got to work on speed as well, right? And I've got to train a bit as well. Why don't we do two laps of this training room?" I suggested. The training room was gigantic, there was no way I could keep up. But I've got to push myself, right?
"Pip, lup!" Piplup chanted with a determined look in his eye.
"Alright, let's go," I yelled, started to jog around the room with Piplup next to me.
Two laps of the room were about two kilometres and we finished in eleven minutes. Alright, next time I'll aim for ten minutes. I was tired, but not completely out of breath.
"Piplup, you tired?" I asked. Piplup took a breath and shook his head. I smiled.
"Alright, use bubblebeam!" I commanded. Piplup performed a bubblebeam, this time about double the power of the previous. Wow, Piplup improves very rapidly.
"Again!" I yelled. Piplup did it again, doubling the power once again.
"You're great at this. If you keep this up, we'll be invincible!" I praised.
Piplup continued to improve his bubblebeam, and in just about half an hour, it was so powerful I swear it could knock down a tree.
"Okay Piplup, take a rest," I said. The penguin stubbornly shook his head. Wow, this was one determined Pokemon.
"Did you want to try something else? Did you want to work on your peck attack?" I asked. Piplup used peck on the rocks, getting stronger each time.
This continued on for quite a while and at the end of our training session, Piplup had mastered pound, peck, bubble and bubblebeam. His peck and bubblebeam were truly amazing and strong.
"Piplup, return." I took out his Pokeball as he was engulfed in a red light.
I checked the time, it was already noon. Wow, I didn't realise we trained for that long. I guess I should head home, or maybe visit May and apologise. On my way out, I bumped into the Commander. Next to him was the one and only, Paul. Paul was glaring at me the way he glares at… just about everything and the Commander seemed to recognise me.
"Well hello there Platina," he greeted, obviously amused. I remembered I had to modulate my voice.
"Commander, good day," I replied. He seemed slightly taken back by voice, but recovered really quick that it was barely noticeable.
"You're that girl from earlier," Paul growled.
"I am, and you are?" I responded calmly. He eyed me suspiciously.
"Paul, Paul Shinji," he muttered. He still kept the same name?
"Well then Paul, I'm Platina Berlitz." I reach my hand out, not expecting him to shake it with his attitude. Paul's eyes widened.
"B-Berlitz?" He stuttered. Paul stuttered? Is the world coming to an end?
"I believe that is what I said," I said.
"But you can't be!" he suddenly exclaimed.
"Excuse me?" I asked, genuinely confused about what he's talking about or why he's so surprised.
"A surprise, isn't it?" Peter cut in. I almost forgot that he was here.
"Now, why don't all three of us have a little… conversation?" he suggested, though it was more or a command.
We all followed him into his room. He sat down in his chair while Paul took a seat on a random chair. I just stood there awkwardly.
"So what now?" I asked. Peter grinned. Why do I have a bad feeling about this?
