I needed to find some way for him to let go of Drew so he wouldn't get hurt. What if I relied on Paul a tiny bit…?
I saw Paul run into the alley and punched the guy I talked to on the phone.
"Woah!" The person was taken by surprise.
The person holding Drew captive let go of Drew and went to fight Paul. Perfect.
I jumped down, steadily landing on my two feet. He noticed me and turned around. I kicked the guy. He stumbled. He swung a fist, I dodged. I aimed a punch for his stomach. He caught my fist. He's got decent reflexes. His other hand collided with my stomach. It hurt, a lot. But it was nothing compared to what I've been through. I ignored the pain.
I kicked him in the place where the sun doesn't shine. He let go of my fist. I punched him in the face. He stumbled backwards. He was panting. Good sign for me, but not good enough. I whammed my foot into his stomach, hard. He clutched his stomach and glared. His glare was nothing compared to Paul's. I swung a fist at his face. Blood trickled down.
Oh my, I can't deal with blood. It makes me feel so horrible. Why did I agree to this again?
He swung a fist. Damn, I should pay attention. I relied on my instincts and used my left arm to protect my face. I guess I'll be wearing long-sleeves for a while. I kicked him once again. He fell to the floor, breathing hard. What am I supposed to do now? I feel bad. But I guess I've won the fight.
I looked at Paul. The guy he fought was in a similar position.
I looked at Paul with a questioning gaze. I had no idea what to do.
Oh my Arceus, I forgot about Drew. He was behind me. I turned around to face him. He looked startled out of him mind.
"Paul?" he asked, in so much confusion. Thank Arceus he didn't recognise me. I heard Paul curse again.
"Never speak of this again," Paul said in a dangerous warning tone, before dashing off. Am I supposed to follow him? I probably should.
"Go home," I said sternly, still modulating my voice. I ran off after Paul and followed him back to the base.
"Ah. You're back. How was your first mission?" Peter inquired.
"Alright." I replied.
"Paul?" Peter asked.
Paul growled, "Fine."
"I must leave," I said, walking out the door. I changed back into my normal attire and sprinted home.
I managed to get there before Drew did, that's a good thing. I took a shower and saw a bruise where I was punched, on my stomach and left arm. It was bad, but not as bad as what I've experienced before.
I noticed Drew was home so I went to his room.
"Drew. Where were you?" I asked with concern, acting like I didn't know what happened.
"I just went out with a few friends," Drew said with a blank face. I felt my heart ache since he didn't tell me the truth. Why wouldn't he tell me the truth? Wow, I hate this feeling… Is this how Drew felt when I told him about the assassins? Oh Arceus, I feel really guilty now.
"Oh," I said quietly, looking down. I walked away back to my room and went into deep thought. Has he ever lied to me like this before? He wouldn't, would he? But why didn't he tell me the truth. Can't he trust me? I admit I'm being a bit unfair. After all, I pretty much kept half my life away from him.
I pondered on just about everything. What happened to my mother? How will Team Cresselia help me? Do I even want to know about my father? I mean, it's because of him that I'm doing all this. Is it worth it? Wait- WHAT?!
I'm going through all this emotional stress, all this pressure, so much hard-work, risking my life. All for what? All so I can find out who this person I don't even know is. Okay, so I'm pretty much doing all these things for a person who I don't know. Okay. WHAT WAS I THINKING?!
What if I quit? Can I do that? But I gave my word and joined. I can't just quit, can I? And the… what's it called? The… er… Diamond Pearl! I've almost completely forgotten about that. So Team Cresselia is trying to protect it… They don't know where it is, so what do I have to do with any of this? Do I try to find it? That's right, Peter hasn't told me to do anything. So all I do is train?
Wait. Let me get this straight. I am in an assassin agency, but I'm not an assassin. Then what am I?
Okay, now I'm just clearly confusing myself. I'm just going to stop over-thinking things. Alright, for the rest of the week, I am just going to be a normal teenager. Well, other than the training sessions…
I turn on my laptop and logged onto Facebook. I created a group chat with May, Misty and Leaf. (A/N: Oops, I made the group chat wayyy too long… LOL, I got so confused reading the conversation. But that's how group chats turn out! Haha XD If you get confused, they're pretty much talking to their… um… the other half of their pairing. Can't explain… Hehe)
Dawn: Hey!
May: Hiya. What's up?
Misty: Hi.
Dawn: Bored as ever, you?
Leaf: So you came to chat with us?
May: I'm eating ramen ^-^ Yum!
Misty: *sweatdrops*
Leaf: *sweatdrops*
Dawn: *sweatdrops*
May: Eh? Is this some sort of inside joke or something? I don't get it…
Drew: Of course you don't airhead. Wouldn't expect you to.
Well, at least Drew's back to normal.
May: Drew? Where'd you come from?
Drew: Dawn invited me into the conversation.
Dawn: No, I didn't.
Gary: Don't deny it. You girls just couldn't stay away from me *winks*
Leaf: Dawn, why would you invite this asshole into the conversation?!
Dawn: Oops. I add all of us into the conversation. I thought I only add the girls? ^-^"
Misty: Does that mean Ash is here too?
Dawn: Aw, why ask about Ash? ^o^
Ash: Hey Mist.
Misty: What? Oh um…
Leaf: Ay Misty, going to finish your sentence?
Misty: SHUT UP!
Drew: Surprisingly, this is quite entertaining.
May: What did I miss? I just finished my ramen. It was delicious!
All (but May): *sweatdrops*
May: Seriously, is there some sort of joke?
Paul: Hn.
Dawn: Ah! Paul's here too?
Leaf: You're the one who invited him.
Dawn: Right… anyway, what's even the point of typing "Hn."?
Paul: Hn.
Gary: Leafy, you free?
Ash: I'm confused.
May: Me too.
Dawn: Hey! I asked you question! Don't you dare ignore me!
Leaf: Go away asshole.
Misty: *uses mallet*
Drew: Airhead.
May: Am not! Grasshead.
Gary: No can do Leafy. Not until you go out with me.
Drew: Is that the best you can come up with?
May: *pokes tongue out*
Drew: How childish.
Leaf: In your dreams!
Ash: Wait, who was Leaf calling an asshole?
May: Am not!
Paul: Idiot.
Dawn: Yay! The ice-cube talked!
Gary: All the time *winks*
Drew: Are too.
Leaf: Ew. I feel disgusted.
Misty: Are you really that dense?
May: Am not!
Dawn: Wouldn't it be so much easier just to have separate conversations?
Ash: Who's Misty talking to? And what does dense mean?
Drew: I don't have time for this.
Gary: Why?
May: Hah, that means I won.
Misty: I was talking to you Ash.
Leaf: Why do you think?
Ash: Why do I think what?
Dawn: I feel like I'm being ignored…
Drew: Sure you did May, sure.
Gary: I have no clue. Why don't you come over and we can…*winks*
Leaf: Ash, I wasn't talking to you. Don't worry.
Misty: Ash, seriously. Are you really that dense?
Ash: Hey Gary! I can come over and what? You should finish your sentence. That way we know what you're talking about. So, what are we going to do at your house?
Drew: Seriously Ash?
Gary: Suddenly, I feel sick.
Dawn: Okay, now I know I'm being ignored.
Leaf: That's what you deserve! Hah!
Paul: Idiots.
May: I don't get it…
Misty: When will you ever learn? *sigh*
May: Hey! What's that supposed to mean?
Misty: Oops, sorry May! That was meant for Ash.
May: Oh, nevermind then!
Dawn: Why is it suddenly so quiet?
*One minute later*
Dawn: What? Where'd everyone go? People? Are you ignoring me?
*Suddenly, everyone goes offline at the exact same time*
Dawn: This is really freaky…
*Dawn goes offline*
What happened? Why do I sense something bad happened?
A/N: Review! ^^
Damn writers block.
