Several Minutes Later…
(Knock)
"Yes?"
"It's me Nathan."
"Come in."
"Feeling better? I heard Russell was giving you a hard time." Nathan was smiling, but his eyes weren't.
"Oh come on, I'm fine."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes."
"Alright then. I bought you some food. Ya better eat it."
"Thanks."
(BOOM)
"What the-" Nathan looked out my window. "Tch…"
"Who is it?"
"Stay here alright?" Nathan grabbed his sickle and chain. "Don't come out until I tell you."
I nodded and he slammed the door on his way out. "… I gotta see what's going on…" I muttered and peeked out of the window. The Black Death?! It wasn't that long ago that we just repaired the Sirius! "Still, I caused the whole problem… I have to stop this!" I declared to myself and ran out as fast as I could.
Nathan's POV
(Bang)
(Clang)
"Can't you guys give it a rest?! We just repaired our ship!" Captain Morgan exclaimed.
"I told you I'm taking back what's mine!" Captain Morris replied.
"Not in a million years! Go die in a hole!" Eduardo looks pissed. Can't blame him…
"Yeah! You guys are so bothersome, go bother someone else." Russell added.
"Don't tell me what to do!" Captain Morris shouted angrily.
"Is it just me? Or is this like a verbal fight compared to a physical fight?" Thomas whispered to Christopher.
"It's not just you…" Christopher replied quietly.
"Shut up and help us will you?!" Eduardo hissed.
"S-Sorry!"
I ignored them and kept attacking his crew. Damn, there's too many of them. Did they retreat the last time just to get more reinforcements?! Damn, are they that persistent?!
"You…" The Captain stood in front of me. "You're the reason that she wants to stay here on the Sirius!"
"What? Got a problem with that?" I questioned and shrugged my shoulders. He now looks even more furious. It's kinda funny… I tried to hide my laugh.
"What's so funny?!"
"Nothin'." I replied. I drew out my sickle and chain and held in front of me, ready to attack.
(CLANG!)
The only sound I hear is the sound of the sickle kissing the metal of his gun. Damn, I gotta be careful, he has a gun. One wrong move and I'm dead… I stared at the gun for a while and Captain Morris smirked.
"I guess ya noticed that you are at a disadvantage."
"Damn it…"
(Bang)
I barely dodged the bullet…
"If yer' dead, that will take a heavy load off my shoulders…"
(Click)
"Damn… I can't dodge this!" I cursed under my breath, watched everything moving ever so slowly… Just then…
"NATHAN!"
"?!" Kikyan ran in front of me and blue light blinded me. (Bang!) "Kikyan no!"
(BAM!)
… I didn't want to open my eyes… I was afraid… Afraid of seeing the outcome of all of this… She didn't… Did she?!… Please! She better not be… It's clear to me now… I can never live without her; I need her at my side… So please…. I slowly opened my eyes and saw Kikyan standing there in front of me with her hands in front of her. And in front of her was… A light blue transparent shield?! Where did that come from?
"I have no desire whats-so-ever in being with you!" She stated coldly and glared at Captain Morris. "AHH!" She waved her hand and a heavy gush of wind sent the others including the captain flying back to the Black Death. She started floating and in the blink of an eye, she threw icicles at the ship.
(BAM) The ship caught on fire. (AN: That sounds weird right? I mean like icicles starting a fire? Bear with me okay? It's the best I can think of… Let's just say it was heavily damaged and started smoking… yeah? Anyway, continue!) "RETREAT!" Captain Morris's voice echoed throughout the ship.
"Is it over?" Thomas questioned.
Kikyan was still floating there staring at the ship disappearing. "Kikyan?" I asked worriedly. Suddenly, Kikyan started falling and I hurriedly caught her bridal style. I knelt on one knee and sat her up. "KIKYAN!" I gently shook her, hoping she would open her eyes.
"Is she alright?!" Eduardo panicked.
"Get her to the infirmary." Captain ordered and I carried her away, praying that she's okay.
Kikyan's POV
I woke up to the sudden pain in my head. "Ahh!" I held my head in my hands.
"Kikyan!" Nathan came up to me and held my shoulders. "Are you alright?!"
"Nathan…" I said weakly.
"Are you okay?" He asked more softly seeing me clutching my head in pain.
"… I…" I looked up at him. "Are you alright?" A lump was forming in my throat after realizing that the fact that if I wasn't there… He would've…
"Heh, don't worry about me. You should worry about yourself more-"
"Nathan!" I didn't care how much my head was throbbing; instead I tightly embraced him ignoring the pain. "You're okay? You're not hurt?"
"Kikyan…" He quickly returned my hug. "I was more worried about you than myself…" He trembled a little and tears started pouring down my cheeks.
"I was so worried… If I wasn't there… What would've happened… I can't even think about it… If you were to disappear from my life… Then it would be pointless for me to go on…" I sobbed. I'm glad I didn't listen to him when he told me to stay inside the ship…
"Don't say that Kikyan… If that were to happen, then I still would've told you to move on…"
"No, I would never let that happen… I will protect you."
"Hey, that's my line." Nathan smiled and brushed some strands of hair out of my face.
"Nathan…" We stared at each other's eyes before connecting our lips together. The pain in my head was slowly melting away and was replaced with dizziness from Nathan's hot kisses. He pulled me closer by the waist, deepening the kiss. This went on for what felt like forever and of course I didn't mind. Just then…
(CLICK)
"!" Nathan and I pulled back just in time. The others came in with worried expressions.
"Are you okay Kikyan?" Russell questioned first.
"Yes, sorry for worrying you guys." I looked away, hiding my beet red cheeks.
"Do you have a fever Kikyan?" Eduardo asked and rests his hand on my forehead.
"No, I think I'm fine…"
"So…" Captain Morgan walked closer to me. "What you did back there was amazing! What did you do?!" His expression was filled with shock.
"Um…"
"Yeah, what happened to you back there?" Eduardo added.
"Are you like… a magician?" Thomas inquired.
"No… Well… I don't know…" I stared at my hands.
"Can you explain?" Eduardo asked me and I slowly nodded.
"Before I came onto your ship, I was… chained…" I muttered the last word, hoping no one heard me.
"CHAINED?!" Everyone exclaimed and I jumped.
Shit… "(Sigh)… Yes… But then… I somehow escaped…"
"How?"
"I don't know, somehow my hands… it started glowing and then the chains froze… I also froze the windows and came onto the Sirius…" I explained. But since Eduardo was here, I didn't talk about when I saved Nathan…
FLASHBACK IN KIKYAN'S POV
I ran towards the deck and gasped when I saw Joshua fighting with Nathan. "Nathan!"

Like some kind of power building up inside… My desire to protect Nathan is so strong that I would accept to die in his place. But that's not going to happen! I want to live with him!) I ran out towards Nathan. "NATHAN!"
"?!" His face was filled with shock. (Bang!) "Kikyan no!"
(BAM!)
…In front of me, was a light blue transparent shield that came out from my hands. It worked… Thank goodness… Even though I was so relieved that Nathan was safe, the fury that was still within me didn't subside… "I have no desire whats-so-ever in being with you!" I glared at Joshua. "AHH!" With a wave of my hand, a gush a strong wind sent the enemies flying back to Black Death. I felt myself floating and in the next second, I watched as beautiful but sharp icicles fly towards the ship, making it heavily damaged.
"RETREAT!" The Captain shouted and off the ship sailed.
What's happening? Why do I feel…
"Kikyan?" I heard Nathan's voice.
"Thank goodness he's alright…" I muttered silently to myself and collapsed into a pair of strong arms.
"KIKYAN!"
END OF FLASHBACK
"- Right Kikyan?" Christopher questioned.
"Huh?" I raised an eyebrow.
"I said that we should just let you rest for now… We don't know why you have powers, but it's best if you are well rested first."
"Thank you."
"Can I stay?" Nathan asked.
"…" Eduardo stared at us for a while and eventually sighed. "Alright… But I'll still check on you later."
"Thanks." I smiled and Eduardo ruffled my hair.
"Get better alright?"
"Mmhm!" I nodded happily and watched them walking out one by one.
"Phew." Nathan plopped next to me and embraced me.
"N-Nathan!?"
"Now we can finish where we left off… Can we?" Nathan gave me the cute puppy eyes.
"Heh, cute."
"!"
"Oww!" Nathan flicked my forehead. "What was that for?"
"Duh, for callin' me cute…"
"What's wrong with that?"
"Everything… I'm the one who's supposed to call ya cute." Nathan sighed and brushed his lips against my neck.
"!" I stiffened.
"Loosen up will ya?" Nathan smirked and tucked some hair behind my ear.
"Eduardo might come in any second you know..." I stated.
"Hmm…" He thought for a moment. "We'll just kiss then…" He lifted my chin and gently pressed his lips to mine.
"Mmm…" (So much for resting…) I thought happily to myself and let my mind go blank to Nathan's kisses…
