Monday rolled in and everyone dressed on their finest battle attire. Aradia chose her Aries shirt, a grey skirt, and her mary janes. Eridan wore black skinny jeans, a purple and black flannel, and purple and blue shoes. Feferi wore a blue and green skirt, pink flats, and a black tank top that hung loosely on her showing a bit of her fuchsia bra. Sollux threw on one black shoe and one white one, black skinny jeans, a black t-shirt with a bumble bee on it, and red and blue suspenders.
Aradia showed up to school first taking a seat at a long rectangular lunch table and cracking open the latest in the mortal instruments novels. She sat for a while as she always had by herself completely immersed in her book when someone hugged her from behind. Eridan sat two cups of coffee down on the table and sat next to her. "W-what are ya readin' babe?" he asked, scanning the cover and casually slipping his arm around her waist. "Mortal Instruments." Aradia replied, setting the book down. The two began to make small talk about their separate Sundays with Eridan cracking jokes and Aradia giggling.
Sollux entered the building scanning the cafeteria for aradia, sure enough he found her. Snuggled up next to Eridan-fucking-Ampora?? He had a mix of emotions ranging from anger to hurt. He made his way over to the happy pair, tapping aradia on the shoulder. She whipped around, surprised to see him. "Sollux?" She said in disbelief. He grabbed her arm taking her to her feet "We need to talk." He stated. "Hold the fuck up Capin' Bumblebee she ain't goin' no w-where." Eridan blurted standing as well. "And who the fuck are you? The boy toy she was screwing?" Sollux spat at the shorter boy. "Hey you can't talk to him like that-"aradia yanked her arms from his grasp, and continued. "Anything you can say to me you can say to Eridan.". "I just wanted to talk to you about Saturday. I went over to your house and found you weren't there. I know I messed up, but at least I didn't sleep with anyone else AA, I'm sorry. Truly I-I am I-I just … can we at least try to fix this?" he pleaded blinking back tears. "How" she questioned, "How do you expect us to fix this? You left me Sollux, I was sitting outside my house for fucking hours. Do you know the extent of the hurt you have caused me emotionally? That's why I did what I did and I'm not apologizing." She affirmed.
Eridan was a bit hurt but he was used to being the rebound considering all his time with Vriska. He decided to stay quietly in a defensive position behind aradia.
"Aradia I know I screwed up royally, but you have to know I love you and that I'm sorry. I really want to fix this, but you are also at fault here." Sollux looked at her apologetically. Aradia had tears welling up in her eyes but she blinked them back, Sollux and her had a long history together and she didn't know if she was ready to give that up. "I only did what I did out of hurt." She stated. Sollux's tough façade broke, his face contorted into an expression of pure hurt. He reached out to hug her, all he wanted was her back in his arms, "All I want is my little lamb back AA" he said. She pushed him off her tears streaming down her face. "Too fucking late" The bell for first period rang and Aradia absconded, leaving two astounded boys in her wake.
Well thats all folks. Hope yall enjoyed the fic, it took so very fucking long. But i feel like its the end of an era kind of? this whole fic we watched teenage development (ish - mainly pertaining to relationships... okay maybe not really) but it has been kind of a journey. I enjoyed it though and i hope you did too... as summer draws nearer on the horizon who knows? maybe there will be more fics soon ish so keep an eye out! Truly though thanks to all my story followers and everyone who stuck with it through all the crazy haitus' (is that how its spelled? probably not. ) You are all treasures and have a lovely (insert itme of day)
