Back with Jin and Ling

Ling was still looking for Jin as she walked through the walls of Lily's great mansion, she never took the time to study the portrait of some of the old looking men from past generations but she was a little surprised when she saw a picture of a young girl who had a remarkable resemblance to Lily but sitting on a rock in a farm somewhere dressed in rags and holding a baby, Ling strongly believed that that girl though looking like Lilly would be way more polite and kind she had this angel like smile that Ling wished she could have met her sometime and they would be great friends probably as close to her as Julia and Christie are, she went to another room but didn't see Jin nor anybody she tried some other doors but those were little storage closets and some rooms were off limits so Jin couldn't be there, she had gone upstairs to the other ball rooms where student Lily considered popular would stay, she wouldn't invite Jin cause she knew Jin wouldn't leave her and the others (well maybe Hworang and Steve) and she definitely would never invite Christie when she hates her guts, Ling had checked pretty much every rooms except for the balcony at the ball room, she didn't seem to think Jin would go there, it seemed too dramatic for his taste but she did go there and eventually she found him standing out there just looking down on some of the guest moving about on the grass his posture seemed as though he was in deep thought but she could also detect a bit of sadness in him but right now it was her who was supposed to be sad it was her who was supposed to be feeling down this party meant way more to her than Jin and yet for some reason she couldn't help but fill sympathy for him like he was going through something and she was thinking all about herself, maybe Julia was right she should be more patient with him and just understand him,

Ling decided to take slow steps close to him and just stood by his side and looked down on the others, she came in slowly so as not to startle him or make him want to leave her again cause she wasn't sure how much of that she could take, people avoiding her was always something she hated, Jin noticed that she was beside him now and didn't make any movement but instead decided on keeping his eyes locked on the couple holding each other and sitting on the grass wondering what Ling was thinking

"Jin...is something wrong?" she asked not looking at him but clearly giving him her full attention, Jin felt already guilty by that question and couldn't bring himself to answer anything he searched through his mind thoroughly for an answer that could suffice but nothing came out so he just open his mouth and just let words come out

"No everything's ok" he said refusing to turn his head, Ling would still continue to make small talk with him until he decided to open up to her

"Jin why have you been avoiding all of us?" what Ling really wanted to say was me instead of us but decided on going with us

"I...I've just had a lot on my plate" he said with a look almost disbelieving he had said that

"A lot on his plate!?" Ling though refusing to accept that as an excuse

"Jin if you had a lot going on you wouldn't have come here at all, tell me what's really bothering you maybe I can help" She said now turning to face him,

"I wish you could Ling, I really do" Jin though feeling all the more guilty but remembering he was doing all this for her safety so he wouldn't say anything

"No one can help me" He said looking away

"If you give them a chance they might be able to at least understand you and help share your pain Jin just let it out" she said still digging hard for something

"Look Ling I'm sorry but I'm in a difficult place now and I just need you to be patient" he said hoping he could pick the right words that wouldn't make this situation any worse but Ling had about had it with his isolative behaviour

"I am tired of being patient Jin!" she said loudly catching Jin off guard

"Ling?"

"You knew just how important this night was to me Jin! You promised me a great time you said we wouldn't have to hide anymore! But now that we're here I've been feeling like an idiot you leaving me when I try to do something with you, letting go off my hand! and straight up avoiding me. Did you ever stop to think of just maybe how I've felt? How crushed I was when you left me alone! And I'm trying to be understanding to you but your still pushing me away! WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM!" she screamed now maybe attracting a little attention, Jin was beyond wide eye'd he'd never seen her scream so much, at him for that matter he felt even worse now that he actually took the time to determine how she must have felt, he just couldn't stand the idea of Kazuya getting his evil hands on her, he also didn't want to scare her with this information about him appearing recently he couldn't put that much fear in her, but now Ling had a look on her face he wished would never be directed at him, how could he have messed up so bad?

"I'm sorry Ling but please you need to understand that everything I do is for you" he said still trying to right things

"By lying to me, hurting me and keeping secrets from me!?" she asked now tearing up

"I mean do you even love me any more did you ever love me Jin?" she asked fearing for the worst

"Of course I did and still do Ling you're the most important person in the world to me" he said trying to hold her but Ling wouldn't have it so she backed away from him

"Yet you can't tell me what's going, this was probably a big mistake!"

"Ling please no-"

"Good bye Jin" she said before turning around and running away refusing to break down in front of him, Jin immediately followed her and didn't want to her leave, she was rushing down the stairs and was moving through the crowd, Jin almost lost her in the crowd but then caught a glimpse of her exiting through one of the doors, he was now pushing his way through the crowd and was about to reach the door until one of Lilly's posy or "clones" as Hwoarang called them got in his face

"Hello Jin" she said she was a little curved and full lipped, Jin tried to decipher it was Lexi, Ashley or who gives a damn Ling was about to leave!

"Excuse me" He said nicely before trying to get passed her but she moved in the direction he was going to pass, now the way she moved would suggest it was an accident but Jin new damn well she's slowing him down on purpose

"Don't tell me your leaving so early, the party's just getting started" she said with a suggestive smile that Jin wished would suggest she'd drop dead and get out of his way

"I have to go..." Jin didn't want to tell her that he and Ling were together so he just said what popped in his head

"There's an emergency in my head quarters"

"Oh Im sure one of your many employees can handle it, besides...I would love to play with their boss a little bit" she said grabbing his hand now to take him further inside, God help her Jin thought

"Well its urgent they need me please tell the hostess it was a great party excuse me" he said now shrugging his arms of determined to sprint once he got outside to catch Ling thanks to this annoying harlet, she better not open her mouth or doing anything that would slow him down, but just as he imagined another hand grabbed him

"But Im so lonely Mr Mishima" she said sexily but that ONLY INFURIATED Jin he never wanted anyone to call him by that name, so he grabbed her hand removed it and gave her a look that quickly put her flirtyness to a brief hault

"Don't ever call me that...again" he said before going outside, maybe the driver would have seen Ling and take him to her quick to right his wrongs.
