Chapter 12

I was screaming so loud, using my bare hands to hit him. My heart was beating fast and I could feel pain in my elbow. I couldn't see anything because it was dark; I wanted to see his face but to switch the light I have to walk a few steps, so I just continued hitting him with my hands. I felt a strong-arm placed on my mouth and then a voice I know spoke.

"What the fuck Bella? What's wrong with you?." The moment he spoke I felt relieved and my body relaxed.

The lights were on and Edward was staring at me and I could feel his anger.

"I'm s-sorry I didn't mean to hit you." My voice came half a whisper.

For a moment I felt his eyes filled with worry, but then I remembered that Edward would never get worried about anything especially me. "What's wrong? Why were you hitting me?"

"Ummm … I went outside and wanted to sit on the beach, a few minutes later I saw a man glaring at me. I decided to go back and then he started chasing me, i arrived at the house and I looked across the window and didn't see him. I hit you because I thought you were him … sorry." I said looking straight at him.

"You're an idiot. You can't just go out and sit on the beach at night. It's dangerous." Edward glared at me.

The asshole Edward is back, why can't he be nice for just five minutes? I could not tolerate his attitude, "I couldn't sleep and I decided to go outside."

"You are such a weirdo, I just can't deal with you right now."

"Yeah, me too."

I was on my way to go upstairs when I felt his hands clutching my elbow and I instantly screamed. Edward released his hands and said, "Sorry"

"What's wrong with your elbow?" Edward asked.

"When I tried to shut the door, my elbow was hit by the side of it." I answered.

Edward did not say anything; he just took off toward the kitchen. He came back with a pack of ice. He placed it in my arms and I looked at his eyes, they were tensed.

Edward looked at me and ordered, "ummm just put it there and don't move your hand."

"Yeah, thanks ... I'm going up to sleep. Night" I said awkwardly.

I went quickly upstairs and closed the door behind me. It was weird, he actually was worried but still he is Edward. The Edward I know will not behave like this. I went to bed, but did not sleep. I just kept staring at the wall. After what seems like forever, I felt my eyes closed.

The next morning my schedule was full. I had to do a lot of stuff for Sam and Lily. The first was to take them to the park and then buy them ice cream. I heard Carlisle instructing Edward to not do anything stupid on this vacation and Carlisle also told Alice the same.

Sam and Lily seem to be enjoying their time, the park we went to was Griffith Park. It was huge and so entertaining; Lily told me that when she was living here, she always came here with Sam. As Lily has said, "we made a lot of friends, but now we forgot them." Lily seems sad about her friends, but then I told her she can always make new friends.

I was sitting on the bench watching Sam and Lily jumping when my phone vibrated in my pocket. I retrieve it and answered without looking at who was calling.

"Hello."

"Hey Bella, its Edward. I was wondering if you have Sam and Lily."

"Yeah, they are here with me. Is everything ok?." I asked frowning.

"Yeah, everything is good. I just wanted to spend the day with them." Edward explained.

"Oh … I can bring them to you if you want … where are you?."

"I don't want to bother you Bella, tell me where r u and I'll come."

"We are at Griffith Park."

"Ok. Ten minutes and I'll be there."

I shut my phone and saw myself smiling. He was coming to spend the day with his brothers. That was sweet; I hope he will take them somewhere interesting. I did not tell Sam and Lily about Edward, I wanted them to be surprised. After ten minutes, Edward was standing beside me, Sam and Lily ran toward Edward and hugged him.

"Oky, I guess I can go. Bye guys, I'll see you at the house." I said smiling at Sam and Lily.

Lily's smile immediately fell and said, "Why? Did we make you mad? "

"Ohh …. No guys you did not. Edward wants to spend time with you. We will go out tomorrow." I kissed her forehead and said goodbye. I was about to cross the street when I heard Edward calling my name, I turned around and saw him standing between Sam and Lily. He seemed nervous and scared. "Would you like to come with us? We are going to eat pizza."

I was lost with words. I just nodded and returned to Sam and Lily who looked happy to see me coming with them.
