On Sunday May 21st Eve spent most of the day alone in her room watching tv and eating junkfood. With the food rationing easing up Eve had more junkfood to indulge in after breaking up with her girlfriend. She and Amy hadn't officially broken up, but there was no way Amy would want to see her again once she realized Eve was an informant. As she was watching an old "Twilight Zone" episode a thought occurred to Eve. What exactly did Amy know? She knew Eve had a heads up to a raid. How could Eve know this? A cop perhaps. Why would a cop protect Eve? Amy knew Eve used to be involved in the black market. It wasn't exactly a big secret that RJ bribed police officers. Maybe Eve bribed cops too. Maybe one of those cops was protective towards Eve. It was worth a shot to keep Amy. Eve went to school on Monday morning. There were rumors of Chris Smith being arrested, along with some others. Eve looked for Amy, hoping her girlfriend, or whatever they were, had escaped arrest. Eve saw Amy in the hall, but Amy deliberately avoided Eve. Maybe she just needed time apart, but Eve feared they were now broken up. She saw others putting up posters for the carnival. This school carnival was June 2nd-June 4th. It was meant to coincide with the launching of the missles to destroy ELE. A way to celebrate the new beginning. But also perhaps a final celebration should they fail. Eve had hoped to go there with Amy, now that seemed unlikely.
