I hope you enjoy this chapter, because personally, I think it sucks and it's short. Sorry. And sorry for the wait too. I swear I will be writing better chapters.
"Hi guys!" She skipped into the yard. "Whatcha' doin'?"
What exactly was going on? I squinted and looked around. We were in the backyard. I don't remember the last time we were really in the yard, hanging out. Our base of operations had switched. The sun was beating down, but it wasn't hot, just bright. I looked around for Phineas. He wasn't here. Then, I turned and really looked at Isabella. She was in her pink dress, with the white shirt, and the bow. Just like what she always wore. Except now, she was an adult.
"What are we doing today?" She fluttered her long black eyelashes.
I gave her a quizzical look. Suddenly, the background started to change. Isabella magically changed too. I heard the Bettys. "Who wants cookies?" She called.
"What… what is happening?" I asked.
Isabella spun around, and then, she was in her periwinkle dress. Staring at me the same way she had the night she saw me with Vanessa.
"Don't look at me like that!" I cried desperately, as I ran up to her and grabbed her hands. "Vanessa kissed me, I didn't kiss her!"
"It's okay, baby." She said sweetly. "We're broken up. We're just friends."
"No!" I cried. I kissed her passionately. Isabella pressed herself against me. "I can't be just friends, Isabella. I'd take you right here and now, in our childhood backyard, if you'd let me."
"Go for it." She said in a ghostly whisper.
And suddenly, she was in her flimsy pink lingerie. She kissed me again, and we fell down into the cool grass. She slid a finger down my chest. "Do you want me, Ferb?" She purred.
"Yes." I sighed.
"No, you don't!" She screamed angrily. There were almost flames in her eyes. "We picked other people! You don't get me!" She paused for a second. "Unless… you love me." She said sweetly. "Do you love me, Ferb?"
"Yes." I said.
"Are you sure?" She asked.
"I love you, Isabella." I cried. "I really love you."
"Oh Ferb…" she moaned. "Why haven't you told me yet?"
I shot up from my bed. Dammit! That was the fourth time this week! I threw my blanket off, and got up, ignoring the painful bulge in my pants. Time for yet another cold shower. I made sure to crank it all the way down, to almost freezing, before I got in.
I don't understand why this keeps happening. Everything was going perfectly. Vanessa and I really clicked; I guess she's realized how mature I am, because she's finally treating me like an equal. And Phineas is thrilled. Not only is he excited about my new girlfriend, but he also thinks everything is perfect between him and Isabella. So why do I keep having sex dreams about my best friend like a hormonally crazed teenager?
I turned off the shower and put my pajamas on again. I put my forehead against the wall. It's because I miss her. Because I love her. And it was going to keep haunting me until I either got over it or… I told her.
I couldn't! I climbed back into bed, exasperated. Not now! She's no longer my friend, she's no longer my friend-with-benefits, she's no longer Isabella! She's Phineas' girlfriend.
Needless to say, I had been having a bad week. I was going to work with almost no sleep, and I think people were getting irritated by my surly attitude. I had at least one more dream about Isabella, and I couldn't take it anymore. I literally trudged into the elevator. Suddenly, the doors opened up on another floor and I was pulled out. By Buford and Baljeet.
"Dude, what the hell is the matter with you?" Buford asked me feverishly.
I stared at him. What's the matter with me? What's the matter with you two crazies?
"I thought you loved Isabella!" Baljeet said. I didn't respond. "How could you start dating another girl? What happened to your confession?"
"Phineas." I said blandly.
"You handed her to Phineas!" Baljeet said in an irritated voice. "They were not official or anything at the ball! I was there; they acted basically the same as they always do! But, then she comes home and…"
"Sees you making out with a hot older woman who isn't her!" Buford finished. Baljeet glared at him. "Sorry!"
"You broke her heart!" Baljeet said.
"I didn't break her heart." I said coldly.
"But, we told you, Isabella loves you!" Buford said.
"No, she doesn't!" I said, frustrated. "She's always wanted Phineas, and now she has him. We had no strings attached."
"But Ferb…"
"Stop. And stop blaming Phineas for any of this." I commanded. "I'm going home."
I walked into the elevator and ignored their sad faces. Then, I continued trudging to my apartment. I opened the door and…
"Hey Ferb!" Phineas said loudly.
He was sitting on the couch, watching TV, with his arm around none other than Isabella. I almost screamed. She wouldn't meet my eyes, as if she knew she had done something wrong. I just turned and walked into my room as fast as I can. I dropped onto the bed and let my silent scream out into the pillow. I can't handle this!
"Ferb?" I heard her soft footsteps. "Is, um, everything alright?" She probably saw me lying on my stomach, looking mentally disturbed.
I quickly turned over and sat up. "Get the hell out of here!"
"What?" She said, taken aback.
"You heard me." I said. "Get the hell out!" If I could barely handle Isabella in my sleep, I definitely couldn't handle her now.
"Wh-why? Are you mad at me?" She asked, in a small, sad voice. "I did something wrong, didn't I?"
"No! I just…" I didn't know what to say. Her lower lip was quivering. "Oh no, don't cry!" I rushed forward to her, but froze. I couldn't touch her. She looked at me with her big blue eyes. "You make it so much harder." I whispered.
She stared at me. "What?"
"Trying to be in love with someone else."
