So super sorry, darlings. I made you wait almost a month. Excuses: writer's block, no new episodes of the show, tests, moving, social life... but how could I let that stand in the way of true love! I promise I'll get back to quick updates.
I lied. The last thing I remember was not my confession to the Fireside girls. That was the last thing I remember saying. The last thing I remember was Ferb, telling me to go to sleep. And the last thing I remember doing… I puked.
I hate being hung-over. Anybody who actually believes in those magical hangover cures is crazy. I don't care if it fixes your dehydration or whatever. I just felt like curling up into a little ball. I only opened my door and stepped out for a minute to get my mail, then get back into that ball.
"Isabella?"
I winced. I had been so close to getting back into my apartment unseen. Why did I even go out for junk mail? I turned around super slowly. Phineas was standing there, without a smile, but with that bright, hopeful look on his face.
"What's up?" He asked.
"Umm… nothing." I said blankly. "Just… mail."
"I ruined everything." Phineas said sadly.
"What?" I asked.
"I never should've asked you out. And I can't believe I just broke up with you like that! I knew I was risking our friendship! And I did it anyway!" He said furiously.
"Phineas," I said tiredly. "I thought I told you this already. We're good. I'm fine."
"Then why did I hear from the girls that you got drunk last night? And," He looked me over. "You're showing signs of it. Not to mention the fact that Ferb looked ready to kill me last night!"
I felt my lip quivering. "He did? Why?"
Phineas half-smiled. "Isabella, Ferb's like your personal bodyguard. He would never let anything happen to you."
I don't think I had ever wanted Ferb back more than I did right now. "Phineas," I said in an exasperated voice. "I admit I acted stupid last night. But it's totally not your fault. What you did made perfect sense. It's just… rejection hurts sometimes. But, this time, I think I'm really over it. And I think you're just the best friend a girl could ever ever ask for."
Phineas hugged me quickly. And that was it. I was finally over Phineas Flynn. At any other point in time, this little action would've made me swoon. But I was over him. I had liked, dated, and broken up with Phineas. This quest of unrequited love was over. He was my friend. And I was happy. I didn't feel at all like getting drunk or crying. I was simply happy. And life could return to normal.
"Hi guys! Whatcha' doin'?" I said happily as I strolled into Phineas and Ferb's apartment.
"Hey Isabella!" Phineas said. "Nothing much. Working on a new hypersonic engine."
"Cool." I said, somewhat sarcastically. "Man, I wish that I could just walk in and out easily, the way I could with the backyard."
"Isabella," Phineas squinted at me. "Have you been doing something new to your hair or something? You've been looking… different."
I felt like chuckling. Of course Phineas wouldn't notice. He wasn't the kind of guy to pay attention to a girl's outfits. To anybody else, it would be obvious. My skirts had gone from modestly hanging just above my knees to dangerously high, tight, and micro-mini. And the tops? They had either A) A super tight fit, B) A ridiculously low neckline, C) No back, or D) All of the above. So why did I suddenly become a skank? Well, because when Ferb walked into the room, he spit out the glass of water he was drinking.
I smirked. This wasn't the first time that had happened. One day he choked on it instead. Another he accidentally walked into the wall. Poor boy. Ferb was trying to beat his male brain, but I knew he couldn't. It would be so easy. The second Miss Prissy Vanessa found her boyfriend cheating on her with his so-called "friend", they'd be done. He might be angry with me at first, but he'd turn around. And then what? The girls already knew we had a thing between us. Sooner or later, everybody would know. And then, I'd finally have my Ferb back.
He couldn't stop staring at me. I yawned. "I'm hot."
Phineas didn't look up from the plans he was working on. "We have popsicles in the fridge." He called.
"Great." I said. I opened the fridge. "Hmm, I think I'll go for… green." I winked at Ferb. He shook his head at me. It looked like he wanted to smile and glare at me at the same time. I pulled out the Popsicle, and basically sucked on it as inappropriately as one could eat a children's snack. I had been the master of flirting since I was like five… it had just never been this dirty.
"I have to go print more of these." I had no idea what Phineas was talking about, but this could only be good for me.
"All done." I said, putting down the Popsicle stick and smiling at Ferb.
"I know exactly what you've been doing, and if it hasn't worked so far, it isn't going to work now." He said quietly.
"What AM I doing, Ferb?" I leaned towards him.
He sighed. "Check your shirt."
"Hmm?" I adjusted the front, although that wasn't going to make my chest any less visible.
"Can that even be called a shirt? More like a strip of fabric! You shouldn't be dressing like that!"
"Are you being protective or jealous?" I asked provocatively.
"I'm… I'm…" He stuttered a little. "What are you doing? You aren't normally like this, Bella."
I ran my nails through his hair. "Do you even remember what I'm normally like?" I whispered. "Do you even remember me anymore?"
"Yes." His deep voice was so close to me. "I'm always thinking of you. I'll always be thinking of you."
"What are you thinking about? My voice? My eyes? My lips?" I placed my hands on his chest. "I told you you're going to be mine." I put my lips on his neck.
Ferb jumped about a foot into the air. "Bella… Bella…" He backed away in a panic. "Just… go back to normal."
"Ferb!" Phineas called. Ferb seemed incredibly grateful for a reason to leave and dashed out of the room, leaving me in a daze.
"Do you guys think I would have a chance with a psychic?" Katie asked.
"What?" asked Gretchen.
"Well, I went to see this psychic the other day, and he was more attractive than I foresaw, if you know what I mean."
"No, I don't." Holly said.
"Can I get you ladies something to drink?" The waiter asked our table. Random shouts of "Water!", "Soda!", and "Lemonade!" came from around the table. "And you?" He pointed right at me with his pencil.
"Water." I said. "Oh," I stopped him. "And a cup of tea, if you have it." He nodded and left.
"Tea!" The Fireside girls crowed.
"How very British of you, Isabella!" Milly said.
"Stop." I mumbled.
"How can we ever stop? You told us you were in love with Ferb!" Adyson cackled.
"Addy, I was drunk!" I said. "Nothing I said was true."
"You'll never be able to deny it!" Adyson said gleefully. "Is that what this whole hooker look is for?" she asked.
"EXCUSE me?" I said.
"Girl, I think you know what she's talking about." Holly said, gesturing to my outfit. Well, I had to be ready for Ferb at anytime.
Adyson laughed. "I can't believe I couldn't figure it out! A guy who's your friend, and who you're attracted to… Ferb, obviously! Didn't think you'd be so fragile that you'd fall in love with him, though!"
"Stop it." I said weakly. Suddenly, I really felt like I was going to cry. Ginger and Gretchen seemed to notice my face.
"Adyson, shut up." Ginger said.
Gretchen wrapped her arms around me the same way my mother does. "It's okay, Iz."
"No, it's really not okay! I don't have any sort of idea what I'm doing! I look like a slut! I can't talk to the guys about this! And to top it all off, Ferb is avoiding me!" I cried.
"It's okay, Izzy. Ferb loves you." She said confidently.
"How would you know?" I asked sadly.
"Trust me, I know." Gretchen replied. "Ferb has always loved you."
"What does that mean?" Ginger asked curiously.
"Well…" She fiddled with her glasses.
"Tell me!" I said urgently.
"Okay, Isabella, tell me who was dating Ferb throughout high school?" Gretchen asked.
"You." I said. "Duh."
"Yeah," She smiled softly. "But who did he choose to sit with at lunch?"
"Yeah, but that's because of our whole gang and…"
"Who did he choose?" She repeated.
"Me." I answered.
"At whose quinceañera was he the chambelan de honor?"
"But Phineas got sick that week and…"
"Whose?" She asked curtly.
"Mine." I said quietly.
"And who was the girl, that he left my debate team final for, because her car had broken down, and he walked out there, in the rain, to fix it for her?"
"Me." My lower lip was quivering.
She smiled. "Ferb is in love with you, and he's always been in love with you. Whether he knows it or not."
Please please review and keep reading. I hope to give you some nice quick updates. And thanks to everybody who's been sticking around to find out what happens in this story I started on a whim like a year ago.

P.S. Promise me you'll do something nice for your moms, okay?
