Eve was woken up very abruptly by Lee and another guard. Without a clock or window Eve didn't know what time it was, but she knew she didn't get enough sleep. The guards brought Eve out of her cell. Lee said some words into his walkie, they sounded Chinese. Although Lee was an Asian-American he spoke English perfectly, who was he talking too? Eve feared Lee was talking to Park. Lee probably wasn't rea;;y a rebel, that had been Amy's test. But if Lee was loyal to Park, they might not want Eve to hear what they were saying. Someone could've informed on Amy and Eve's conversation, it could've been anyone. And now, Park was retaliating against Eve. Although she was scared, Eve knew she didn't have much time anyway. Only 720 days until impact. The guards blindfolded Eve. She had no idea where they took her, but she could feel Lee pressing his gun against her temple.

Lee: We know that your friend Amy tried to recruit you into a militia.

Eve: She didn't. I'm not involved with them. As far as I know neither is Amy.

Lee: Do not lie to me again! You will sign this paper, confirming that Amy is a traitor and a terrorist. Or you will die right here.

Eve: I don't know anything. How can I tell you what I don't know.

Lee: In thirty seconds either your signature, or your brains, will be on this paper.

Eve: I won't help you kill her.

Eve knew this was the end. She began reciting the shahadah, her testimony of faith before death. She hoped Allah would forgive her sins. But Eve didn't get the chance to finish. When Eve refused to help she expected them to just shoot her. Instead they removed her blindfold and turned the lights on. She could see them now, Lee, the other guard, Colby, and a few other prisoners.

Colby: Sorry about that darling, but we had to make sure you were trustworthy.

Eve: You're all rebels?

Colby: Yup. Today a number of state lesislatures are voting on whether or not to secceed from the Union, and form the Collective states of America.

Eve: Including Texas.

Colby: Yes. I doubt Park will accept the change of leadership. That's why he's already thrown some known rebels into solitary confinement, including Amy.

Eve: Is she okay?

Colby: For now. Park is using them as hostages for when we try to take this place, and its oil.

Eve: Can we get them out?

Colby: Darling our side had already broken general Douglas out of prison. You might still have some credibility with Park. That could help, but there would be no going back. Are you willing to join the reellion, fight for the Collective? Because I promise, Mason won't give up his Arks without a fight.

Eve: If it gets Amy free, then I'm in.
