Sitting on the bleacher's, watching new kids trying to be students at the academy, Carmel the Ice Queen was watching them play. Carmel wasn't like the other teacher's. She was callous and insensitive. She wore a whip in her belt rumors said she tortured kids with. Even the teachers were afraid of her.

Carmel knew Nou when she was twelve. She was once a short, spoiled, well groomed girl who donned a dress and looked like a porcelain doll. Over the years she became taller, slimmer, and much more endowed in the chest. She had her blond hair in pigtails tied in laces. She wore a white shirt and white jeans. She wore black high-heels, wore two tiaras around her arms, and had small blue eyes.

" The effort these kids put up is quite extraordinary, eh, Carmel," one of the teacher's said. " I don't know which ones are going to make it."

" Yeah, yeah, has a Jay Yusui signed in yet?"

" Jay Yusui? Let me check." A boy wearing a blue uniform showed up carrying a clipboard. The boy passed the clipboard to the teacher. The moment the teacher got his clipboard the boy walked away; the teacher was scrolling his fingers down the list. " Ah. Yes, a Jay Yusui has signed in. Why do you ask?"

" Because if it's possible I would like to be the one who duels him."

OOO

" Let's begin."

Ciel placed five cards on the floor: brown, green, red, purple, and blue. Jay sat cross-legged listening intently to what Ciel was going to tell him. Before Ciel told Jay anything he kept rubbing his eyes against his eye patch, he used his other hand to grab Jay by the jaw.

" Listen carefully," said Ciel, he was about to tell the story of Duel Monster's. " In this game we're witches and warlocks, conjuror's of beautiful and dark magic, and necromancer's. Our goal in this game is to eliminate the weak witches and warlocks."

" Witches and warlocks? That sounds exciting. At least more exciting than what my dad told me Duel Monster's is all about."

Ciel picked up the brown card from his pile and showed it to Jay. His card had a scarab's on it. " These are Monster cards. In a battle they are one of our most crucial tools. If your enemy warlock summons a monster card he can attack you, so it's best you have monsters like these to protect yourselves. But we can only have three stashed in our Enchiridion."

" That's kind of awesome. So basically I control an army of monsters."

Ciel picked up the blue card off the ground and showed it to Jay. The picture showed an undead mummy trying to wrap a mummy. "These are called Spell Card's. They are also called Quick-Trigger's. We can play them from our wands at any time. They are used to strengthen, weaken, recover, and inflict damage to you, to your monsters, to your opponents' monster, and to your opponent."

" Spell cards sound so good. My father told me he's won lots of duels using them, but I don't know how."

Ciel picked up the red card off the ground and showed it to Jay. The picture showed a metal slime. "These are called Trap Card's. Think of them as tools from the Blair Witch. Unlike Spell's you have to set them before you can activate them. They are mostly used to weaken, destroy, and remove your opponent's monster. Next we have—"

Ciel was grabbed. Someone grabbed Ciel by his mouth and dragged him through the floor. Jay was scared. The kids who were pulling Ciel were so much bigger than Jay. They all wore blue uniforms. The one on the left had red crimson hair and the one on the right had short spiky green hair.

" Do you think you're so smart, shorty?" The boy with the red hair snidely said.

" Yeah, you think you're so smart?" The green haired boy chided.

" I'm not short!" Ceil shouted. " I just live in a big world!"

" Shorty, shorty, shorty!" The two boys said in unison.

" Let him go!" Jay shouted. " Let my friend go!"

" I'm sorry, is Lindsey Bordind wanting me to sign her hatchet?" The red haired boy snide.

" Yeah, need a hatchet to sign," the green haired boy replied.

" You dare tough me?" Ciel shouted. " I'll have you both sued for this!"

" Let him go or I-I will fight you."

" Is he try to start a fight with us?" The red haired boy said. " Look at how scared he is. He's shaking his legs."

" Hahahahaha!"

The two boys were squeezed by their ears. The two boys dropped Ciel as they were raised above the ground. Jay couldn't believe her eyes. The person who was holding the boys up was Carmel. Aunt Carmel. Carmel was holding them by their ears like they were babies.

" You two wouldn't be jostling the kids who haven't even entered the academy, would you?" Carmel's teeth barred evilly. She looked like an evil harpy holding them by their ears. The boys cried like little babies.

" No, we were just joking with them!" The red haired boy cried. " Honest!"

" Yeah, just joking!" The green haired boy shouted.

" Get back to your seats!"

Carmel let go of their ears. The two boys scattered away from Carmel. The moment they went to the bleacher's Ciel ran up to Jay and wrapped his arms around him. Ciel like them was frightened like a little baby, and he was clinging onto Jay because he was scared.

" Aunt Carmel!" Jay smiled. " It's so good to see you—"

Carmel smacked her hand against Jay's forehead. Jay was feeling the worst headache. Jay rubbed his head while Carmel stared at Jay with his cold eyes, Jay—she was cold to him when he first met her and she was going to be cold to him for the rest of his life.

" I'm not your fucking aunt. I would kill myself if I was anyway related to you! Now shape up! Your opponent is going to be me."
