Jay heard the giant bird caw as it flew towards King of the Beasts and Beast Striker. It looked like Dark Simorgh was coming after the King of the Beasts, but it feinted and slashed Best Striker's chest with is razor sharp talons. The mallet wielding monster stumbled down and exploded into pixels, which momentarily blinded Jay.

"I end my turn," Ciel said with no cards in his hand.
Jay drew one card and studied it. He needed a card to boost King of the Beasts attack in order to defeat Dark Simorgh, but he drew a spell card depicting the image of Usagi holding a ball of yellow energy instead. "I switch King of Beasts from attack to defence position (800)." King of the Beasts crouched low to the ground. "I end my turn."
Ciel drew a card from his deck. Unfortunately he didn't have anything to summon so he signaled to his lone monster instead. "Dark Simorgh, attack!"
Dark Simorgh flew towards King of Beasts shrieking and cawing like a crow. Its feathers blinded the King of the Beasts so that it could not defend itself. Seconds later razor sharp claws tore through the monster's back, causing it to explode in a shower of pixels.
"I end my turn," Ciel said.
Jay drew a card from his deck once more. It was another card given to him by his father. The spell card depicted the image of three cards with three spirits of beast monsters displayed on them. The first beast monster was Milus Radiant, the second following beside Milus was Battle Steer and the last was Tripwire Beast.
"I play the spell card Beast, Draw, Beast. Since I have a level one beast type monster and a level seven or higher beast type monster in my graveyard this card lets me draw two cards from my deck." Jay picked two cards up and placed them in his hand; making his total number of cards three. "I activate Usagi's Gold Heart. If I have a Zodiakku Rabbit in my hand or deck I can special summon him, but he will be destroyed at the end of my turn. Come forth Usagi, Zodiakku Rabbit (2500/2000)!"
Jay slammed his card on his duel disk and Usagi appeared before him. He unsheathed his boomerangs and spun them around in circles. Ciel thought Jay and his monster shared one thing in common. They both acted like they were heroes.
"Nice entrance." Ciel complimented Jay's monster. "It still doesn't match my Dark Simorgh's strength though."
"I know. That's why I'm equipping him with Sword of Deep-Seated." A bright purple sword, similar in appearance to Flameswordman's sword, appeared in Usagi's hands. He swung the sword up and then slammed it down. "Sword of Deep-Seated boosts the attack and defence of one of my monsters by five hundred!" (3000/3000)
"It also has a drawback," said Ciel. "If your monster is destroyed or that card is destroyed it will return to the top of your deck. It's like a double-edged knife."
"But it gives Usagi the chance to beat you! Usagi, attack his Dark Simorgh and then wipe out the rest of his life points!"
Jay may have sounded a little crazy with that last move but he really wanted to win. Usagi disappeared, reappeared behind Dark Simorgh and than he hopped over him. He threw his boomerang's towards Dark Simorgh and they ripped through him. Dark Simorgh crumbled into dust, he exploded, scattered into pixels that flew all over the place.

"Shame for you," Ciel said waving his card back and forth. " You activated my Zodiakku beast's effect. Amperson, Zodiakku Horse (?/?)!"
Ciel placed his single card on the field. It glowed purple over his duel disk. The next thing Jay knew a purple mist came out of the ground, something lurking deep within its depths. The creature had the same red eyes Caius the Shadow Monarch possessed and was so frightening Jay backpedaled in slight fear.
The animal hiding in the mist was a horse. It was big and scary. It invoked the sort of fear one would feel from monsters found in horror movies and comic books.
"I didn't know he had a Zodiakku in his deck." Nuo thought. He scoffed at the realization of Ciel's strategy. "Sorry, son. You are not going to like the outcome of this duel but the experience will help you become a better duelist."
"Think of Amperson as Light and Darkness Dragon, he is a monster of both light and dark attribute." Ciel told Jay. "When a level seven or higher monster on my side of the field is destroyed I can special summon him from my hand. When summoned I can return one monster from my banish pile to my graveyard and banish one light monster from my graveyard." Ciel picked his two monsters to trade, which were Kuraz and Caius. He put Caius in his graveyard and banished Kuraz from the game. "Then I can add the original attack power of my two monsters to Amperson (4800)."
"Usagi, stop your attack!" Jay commanded.
"You cannot. During the battle phase I can select one monster on your side of the field and make it battle Amperson."
Usagi backpedaled like a rabbit hopping back and putt his boomerangs on his back but like a force of attraction he was pulled towards Amperson. The horse's visage grew dark tentacles that captured Usagi, squeezing him to death. Usagi exploded into pixels, and the funny thing was Amperson exploded after him.
Jay: 1350
Ciel: 1650
"After battle with Amperson he is destroyed. The next card you draw will be the same equip card. You are probably hoping I don't draw a monster so you can draw a monster after the equip spell. But you have to end your turn, so it is my turn to fight first."
"I set one card face-down and end my turn," Jay said as his set card grew larger and then turned invisible on the field.
Ciel drew the top card of his deck. He looked at the card and smiled. "I don't like people who try to act like heroes. I still don't like you, loser duelist, but I have to say that if you would have picked a different equip spell you might have won. I summon Breaker the Magical Warrior (1600/1000)!"
Ciel smiled triumphantly, Jay bit his teeth nervously, and Nuo just scoffed over how Ciel was such a good duelist for someone so young and so short. Breaker looked like a knight with red armor, sword, and a triangular red shield with a red cape. His armor looked like a magician's, scaring everyone with his blue face under that magician hat.
"My face-down is Call of the Haunted," Jay thought sighing in defeat. "If he summoned another monster I might have brought back Usagi and won."
"When Breaker the Magical Warrior is normal summoned he gains one Spell Counter." Breaker guarded and a rose mark appeared on his sword (1900/1000). "By removing his Spell Counter I can destroy one spell or trap card on the field...good game."
Breaker the Magical Warrior slashed his sword at Jay's face-down. A blue shock wave traveled from his sword and split the card in half. Jay now had nothing on his field and hand and couldn't protect himself.
"Breaker, attack!"
"Yes, my liege!" Breaker exclaims.
Jay was shocked. Did that monster just speak to his master? Jay was frozen in place as Breaker hacked off the last of his life points. Jay fell on his knees and sobbed after losing to Ciel. After losing to him with his father watching...how could he be prepared to go to Duel Academy?
