This took a month to write. It's not that long but it's one of the longest duels I've written in a day.

Jay couldn't do anything to stop the attack on Invader of Throne. His monster blew her up, exploding her into tiny data that was sucked in the boy's Graveyard. All his stress seemed to alleviate when she was destroyed.

Jay: 3550

Boy: 4000

" I end my turn."

Jay drew his card. " I summon Wolf Axwielder (1650/1000." A wolf man holding a large barbarian axe and a wooden shield appeared from a blue worm hole. It growled at the boy's Gyakutenno Megami. The monster didn't flinch. " I now equip Axwielder with Black Pendant." With a brilliant flash of light, a gold pendent with a purple diamond appeared around Axwielder's neck. The necklace raised his power from 1650 to 2150. " Axwielder, attack. Beast Axe Bare Fang."

Axwielder nods, disappearing from sight and reappearing before Gyakutenno Megami. Roundhouse-kicking the elf, and kicking her in the stomach, Axwielder sends her flying, only to throw his giant axe into her stomach. The monster cried in terror before exploding into pixels.

Boy: 3650

" I end my turn."

The boy drew a card. " I chose to use Heart of the Underdog." The boy drew another card. He looked wearily at the card than showed it to Jay. It was a woman with hair flowing to her navels and carrying a big blue scythe. " I draw another card." The boy picked up another card and quickly showed it to Jay. This monster had a more Olympian look to her, like Artemis or other great warriors in Greek mythology. She had red hair hidden under a gold helmet, carried a bo staff, and a big white skirt. " I show you another normal monster so I get to draw again."

' His deck has some kind of formula to it. It looks like some kind of chain to the same monsters. He is using Heart of the Underdog to draw more cards. Could his deck be...a fusion material deck?'

" Judging from your face you already know what kind of deck I'm using." The boy used three fingers to pick out three cards. " Polymerization. I fuse Queen's Double and Hibikime to summon Empress Judge (2100/1700)."

A woman wearing a fur purple coat with diamonds as claws and long red hair covered by a diamond headband showed up. The same woman with the blue scythe showed up. They were sucked in swirling purple wormholes before joining together. Fire burned out of the wormhole as the monster inside made her entrance. She was a tattooed dark-skin woman with a golden hook for earrings and red eyes. She stared at Axwielder who didn't find her smirking laughter taunting in any way.

" Fusion monsters are hard to summon. Only a few duelists were able to make a good deck with them," said the boy. " They were Yugi Mutou and Jaden Yuki. Zane Truesdale and Seto Kaiba were also good fusion duelists. Do you know what the best part about fusion is? If the materials are in my hand I can summon another
monster. I summon Warriud Lyla (1800/1600)." The monster with the bo staff appeared. She twirled her staff around and then raised it in the air. Two monsters were scary, but they didn't have the attack power to beat Axwielder. " I activate The A. Forces." Thousands of men and women soldiers dressed in silver appeared behind Lyla and Empress Judge. After they roared ferociously, Empress Judge glowed with a burning blue aura and so did Lyla's bo staff. " The A. Forces gives all warrior monsters 200 ATK for every warrior and spellcaster type monster on my side of the field."

Empress Judge (2100) + (400)= 2500

Warriud Lyla (1800) + (400)= (2200)

" Empress Judge, attack." The red haired woman, with a ball of dark red light in her hands, fires the volatile attack into Wolf Axwielder, who gets burned by the ball. Axwielder is boiled, burnt and smoking, and exploded into pixels. Out of the pixels the pendant flew straight for the boy and hit him in the stomach.

Jay: 3200

Boy: 4000

" Black Pendant's ability. When it's equipped to a monster and destroyed you take five hundred points of damage."

Jay: 3200

Boy: 3500

" I can still attack you directly. Lyla, attack." Lyla dropped her bo staff. Sticking her hands out to the sides, knifes appear in them. Charging towards Jay, Lyla jumps in the air, slamming her knives into his chest. Landing on his chest, she smiles at him, before kissing his forehead and disappearing back to the boy.

Jay: 1000

Boy: 3500

" I set one card facedown and end my turn."

Jay drew his next card bringing his card total to three. He still had My Body As a Shield facedown, but with only one thousand life points left he couldn't even use it. " If I destroy Lyla it will weaken Empress Judge to twenty three hundred. I set one monster facedown and end my turn."

The boy drew a card from his deck and immediately skipped to the battle phase. " Lyla, attack his facedown monster."

Lyla charging forwards, Jay's facedown monster was revealed. It was a big eyed cute hamster. In a blur, Lyla moved her knifes in swift motion, and cut Bubonic Hamster, who disappeared from the battlefield. However, another facedown card in Jay's monster zone appeared.

" You destroyed Bubonic Hamster. When it's destroyed facedown I can special summon another one from my deck."

" I'll still attack the other one," the boy said.

" Then I'll summon another Bubonic Hamster from my deck."

" Okay. Empress Judge, attack his other Bubonic Hamster."

With magic, Empress Judge summoned a dark red ball from the ground. She moves her hands around, directing it to where it should go. She shoots the ball towards Jays facedown monster, and ultimately destroying it with pixels going everywhere. Another facedown monster took its place.

" I summon another Bubonic Hamster."

" That's fine. I end my turn."

Jay drew and set a monster facedown. " I end my turn."

The boy drew a card and skipped to his battle phase. " I could have Lyla attack your Bubonic Hamster. But I'm more curious about your new monster. Lyla, attack."

Lyla ran with her bo staff jabbing right into Jay's new facedown monster. A brown bug with horns appeared and jumped towards Empress Judge. The monster moved around on Empress Judge for a few seconds and then exploded with her. "It's Man-Eater Bug. It destroys a monster on the field. I chose your 2500 attack point monster."

" You got lucky. I end my turn."

Jay drew his card and passed from his standby phase to his main phase. " I play Hand Destruction. We both send two cards from our hands to the Graveyard to draw two new cards. Please let me draw the cards I need." Both Jay and the boy sent their two cards to the graveyard and drew two cards. Jay drew an extra card from his deck.

" I saw that!" The boy shouted. " That's cheating."

" No it's not. When I send Nimble Kukumba from my hand to the Graveyard I can draw one more card. I'll also use the spell card Lucky Storm. I destroy one facedown spell or trap card on my field and then I draw two cards." Jay picked up two cards from his deck. " I summon Trojan Horse." A blue wormhole ripped open in the center of the field. The wooden horse based on the Trojan War appeared. " I then activate Double Summon. I'm going to summon a tribute monster. And Trojan Horse can be tributed for 2 tribute earth monster. I summon Usagi, Zodiakku Rabbit (2500/2000)."

Jay slammed his card on his duel disk and Usagi appeared before him. He looked cool with his arms crossed and his friendly rabbit smirk. His whiskers twitched as he wrinkled his nose. Pausing for a moment, the boy stares at the cool color and boomerangs of the bipedal rabbit.

" That's a cool new monster. Where did you buy it? I want it in my deck."

" I don't think you can buy this card. I can attack you with it though. I switch Bubonic Hamster into attack mode." Jay flipped his Bubonic Hamster into attack mode. It showed its face and moved its little pink nose. " Usagi, attack. Boomerang Tornado."

Usagi took both his boomerangs out. He pulled them back and threw them in the air. The boomerangs went back and then straight towards Lyla. They weren't boomerangs anymore. The sky turned them into twisters.

" Trap card activate. Justi Break. When you attack a face-up normal monster on my field in attack position, all your non-normal monsters and normal monsters in defence mode are destroyed."

Lyla twirled her bo staff. The sound of echoing moans and depraved souls were heard from her bo staff. Howling blue spirits appeared behind her and made a loud noise that could shatter glass. Usagi covered it's long ears and Bubonic Hamster closed it's eyes but they were both blown back and exploded.

' But that was my strongest monster. All I can do now is defend myself.' Jay only had one card left in his hand. A trap card. " I set one card facedown and end my turn."

' Yes. All he can do is wait to be destroyed' thought the boy drawing his next card. " It's a normal monster. Heart of the Underdog let's me draw another card." After showing Jay his card, the boy drew another card into his hand. " Heart of the Underdog again." The boy showed Jay his other monster. It
looked exactly the same as the last card he draws. He drawed again. After showing Jay five more normal monsters he stopped. " Here's some more fusion. I'll use Polymerization to use Beautiful Headhuntress with Sonic Maid to summon Warrior of Tradition. (1900/1700."

A woman in a green kimono holding a very large knife and a pink dress red haired woman with a gold circlet appeared. They joined into a swirling purple circle and came out as one new monster. It was a geisha looking woman holding a giant butcher blade on a katana handle. She was wearing a pink kimono with a yellow ribbon behind her. Her hair was green and she had menacing looking eyes.

" I'll now use the spell card Fusion Recovery to add Sonic Maid and Polymerization back into my hand. Play Polymerization again to fuse another Beautiful Headhuntress and Sonic Maid to summon my second Warrior of Tradition. I now normal summon Sonic Maid (1200/900). That's four warrior monsters. They
all gain eight hundred attack points."

Warrior of Tradition (1900) + (800) = 2700

" Since my Sonic Maid is the weakest monster on my field she will attack first. After that all my monsters will attack you directly. Sonic Maid, attack."

" There's not going to be an attack. I activate the No Entry trap card." Description/ Jay. " All attack position monsters are switched to defence mode. Since it's the battle phase you can't switch them back."

" I can still switch Lyla back after the battle phase." The boy's monsters kneeled down. Giant versions of the cards that summoned them appeared under their legs. During the boy's main phase he switched Lyla to attack mode with the card under it's feet vanishing. " I end my turn."

Luck. Jay needed luck if he wanted to beat four monsters before they destroyed what remained of his life points. And he had one card that could win. But it all depended on what type of attributes his monster had.

" Your monsters are all earth monsters, aren't they?"

" Yeah."

" Then I hate to say it, but this is game. I'm going to tribute all your monsters."

" How can you tribute all my monsters? There's four of them."

" But they are all earth type. When you have earth types I can tribute them to summon Perpetua, Guardian of Continuous Earth (2000/0)."

All four of the boy's monsters were hit by spikes of earth that shot out of the ground. The monsters fell down to earth and were swallowed in a giant sand pit. It looked like all the monsters were gone, but then the boy heard a sound inside the sand pit. Out of the sand a giant penguin made of rocks appeared.

" Is that a...Penguin? Why do you have a giant penguin in your deck?"

" My father gave it to me. It gains two earth counters for every earth monster I tribute on your field."

" What does the earth counters do?"

" By tributing my monster I can special summon a monster with a level equal to or less than the number of counters. I summon Usagi."

The penguin went back into the sand pit. Usagi hopped out of the sand pit with his two boomerangs. The boy had no cards to protect him. He used his best cards last turn and had nothing that could beat Usagi. He had no choice but to give up.

Description/ Special Summon.

" I surrender. Beaten by a humanity."

" Great duel," Jay said as his duel disk turned off.

" Okay. Chose whatever side of the decked bed you want," the boy grumbled crossing his arms.

" Hey, that was a fun duel. No need to get mad or anything."

" Hey Vincent." Jay turned around. He saw a boy completely wet. He was wearing a white shirt and blue swim shorts. His hair was short black and covering his eyes from the cold water. With bangs over his eyes he couldn't see anything. He moved the bangs away seeing Jay. " Who are you?"

" My name is Jay. Jay Yusui. I'm Vincent's new roommate."

" A new roommate? That's the best news I heard all day. Hi. My name is Nemo Tsunami. I live with Vincent in room three."

" Room three? But that's the dorm I live in."

" Of course. Every Slifer Red room has three beds. Didn't Vincent tell you?"

" He didn't. I would love to sleep in the middle bed."

" Knowing Vincent he probably unscrewed the bed in the middle while I was swimming in the ocean. The ocean is my best friend. Why were you guys dueling anyways?"

Jay glared menacingly at Vincent. Vincent was laughing when Jay looked at him. He knew Jay was going to be his roommate. He was playing with him.

" Just playing a friendly little card game."

Perpetua, Guardian of Continuous Earth. A level eight Earth Attribute monster. (2000/0). Rock type. This card cannot be normal summoned or set. This card cannot be special summoned unless you tribute one or more Earth Attribute on your opponents field. This card gains two earth counters for every monster tributed. You can tribute this card to special summon a monster with a level equal to or less than the counters.
