Kamiya Residence: Odaiba
The three groups of chosen children were gathered at the Kamiya apartment trying to figure out the reason for the mysterious appearance of Jeri and Alice's
partners. The girls and Kouichi had tried to explain the situation numerous times but the groups were still not convinced especially after Izzi explained that Gennai
and the sovereigns had not informed him of any new chosen digimon.
"So they came out of the hospital computer, just like that" said Izzi being the most intelligent to believe such a lie
"Yes, we were waiting on the hall when suddenly both Jeri and Alice's D-Powers started to beep and led them to the computer where two digieggs appeared and
hatched into these digimon" said Kouichi trying his best to hide his discomfort
"But I still don't understand why Gennai dint say anything to us" said Tai scratching his head
T.K was looking at the three while trying to look for something that would give them away, he had a feeling that they were lying, not only that but each time he was
close to Kouichi, he felt the same thing he felt when he had been close to Devimon, darkness. Kari noticed Kouichi's aura too but decided to stay quiet to try and get
an explanation of what was going on.
"So are you sure that you didn't see anything else?" asked Izzi for the billionth time
"Yes were sure, they just popped out of nowhere" answered Alice cradling her digimon
"I can't believe that they would just appear out of nowhere" said Kari
"Are you sure you're telling us everything?" inquire T.K. with full distrust in his voice
Kouichi had had enough, he tried to remain calm throughout the situation but he found that with the unification of the spirits of darkness his attitude had also
changed, the others noticed this the first time they saw him again, he was confident, powerful and had no hesitation to stand up for what was right. He grew tired of
the incessant questioning from everyone; the child of hope was someone he felt was too judging, he secretly felt uncomfortable by the fact that he acted as if he was
perfect.
"I think you're hiding something" said T.K. while looking at the group
"Oh is that so" answered Kouichi confidently, his tone was different, and everyone could recognize it
"Yes, you know something and your hiding it, tell us what really happened" said T.K.
"Do you think I give a damn about what you think, let me tell you something boy of hope, I don't give a shit if you believe me or not, I know what I saw, I know that
what they say is the truth" he hissed at T.K. while everyone looked at him in surprise "You are too paranoid to understand that we are on your side, if we wanted to
turn our backs we could of done so a long time ago, now why don't you shut your mouth and run along to play Cinderella with your little girlfriend" the last part was
said with poison and no hesitation as Kouichi looked at Kari who had her mouth wide open in surprise
Koji approached his brother still shocked by his words "Kouichi, are you feeling alright?"
"I'm fine brother, please stop asking" he said while he turned his back on everyone and headed to the door
T.K. was fuming in anger, not only did the boy insult him but he did so with Kari as well, he didn't think twice and before anyone could stop him he launched himself
at the warrior of darkness punching him straight in the face. Kouichi's lip was bleeding but his eyes told a different story, they were cold, so cold that they could
freeze hell, the legendary warriors had never seen him so angry and crude, the warrior of darkness responded the punch with two of his own, he hit T.K. in the mouth
bursting his lip open, he then hit his stomach watching as T.K. doubled in pain, to put an end to the brief battle he kicked the boy in the back of his left leg and made
him fall to the floor in pain.
Kari and the rest of the destined with the exception of Matt made their way to the fallen T.K. to assess the damage, Matt on the other hand was ready to fight Kouichi
who just looked at him with a poker face, he was about to launch himself at him when he saw him. It was Kouichi's spirit partner, the warriors watched Loweemon
but didn't recognize him, he was different, he looked like Duskmon and Loweemon all in one. He stepped in front of Kouichi and said in the voice that the warriors
recognized as Duskmon
"I suggest you stop, if you don't I will make force you to and we both know that you are no match for me"
"D-Duskmon" muttered Tommy in fear
"But how" asked J.P. to no one in particular
"KOUICHI WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?" yelled Koji to his brother in desperation
The destined had helped T.K. to the couch where he sat down still wincing in pain, the Tamers didn't know what to do so they remained quiet but the tension was
evident and so thick that it could be cut with a knife. Loweemon Dusk mode retreated and stood at Kouichi's side with a smirk plastered on his face, the other warrior
spirits had made their appearance as well and were now looking at the warrior of darkness with a mixture of shock, disgust and worry.
"Kouichi?" said Loweemon Dusk mode as if asking for permission to speak
"Yes, it is time" nodded the boy
"It's been a while warriors, let me introduce myself, I am Loweemon Dusk mode"
"Dusk mode?" said everyone in unison evidently confused
"Wasn't your name just Loweemon?" asked Takato
"Yes, but Loweemon is only a part of me, what you have in front of you is the combination of the two inhabitants of my spirit, Loweemon and Duskmon were
separated long ago and now we have been reunited into one"
The warriors gasped in shock at the revelation that the warrior of darkness had just given them, Lobomon looked angry and his tone was sharp as he demanded to
Loweemon Dusk mode
"So it's you Duskmon, what have you done to Kouichi"
"He didn't do anything to me, in fact I feel like a weight has been lifted off me thanks to the unification of the spirits" interrupted Kouichi
"Uni-? WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?" yelled Matt to Kouichi still enraged about what he had done to T.K.
"You should watch your tone boy, or else we are going to have trouble" said Loweemon Dusk mode as he glared at Matt
"As I was saying" resumed Kouichi "Its time for you to know my true identity" he paused and took a look at the group that was looking at him in surprise
"I-I am the warrior of darkness and that is why my spirit partner couldn't rebel against Chaos" he finally managed to say
Silence, silence ruled the apartment as nobody dared to even breathe, Ai and Mako were hiding behind Jeri and Alice who didn't look as surprised as everyone else
but still maintained their guards up, they both knew that what was coming next would decide the stakes of this new battle. They knew how much the groups with the
exception of the Warriors hated anything that was dark or simply not affiliated with the light; they held their digimon and the twins close to them while they expected
the outburst.
"YOU SON OF A BITCH!" there it was and it came from the person who they knew had control over almost everyone, Tai
"WE TRUSTED YOU! I KNEW IT, THAT'S WHY T.K. AND KARI WERE SUSPICIOUS AROUND YOU, YOURE A FUCKING EVIL TRAITOR!
"HOW COULD YOU SIDE WITH THAT MONSTER!?" said Rika
"AND YOU" said Yolei as she pointed to the rest of the legendary warriors "YOU KNEW ABOUT THIS, I BET YOURE WORKING WITH HIM TOO"
Kouichi stared blankly as the teams banded against each other, a fight was about to burst and he decided that he needed to protect his friends, Chaos's was a
dangerous man and everyone knew that, if they wanted to defeat him they would need to stick together.
"SHUT UP!" he yelled making everyone quiet and stealing their gazes that went from disappointed to downright hateful
"I don't need this pathetic team anymore" he said while he looked at his brother who bore a sad look on his face "You have kept my powers sealed for too long, it's
time for me to hit the road, oh and don't try to look for me, I'll be long gone by the time you try to catch me"
Koji couldn't believe Kouichi's words, they were cold and emotionless, he knew that it was Duskmon talking and he wouldn't let his get what he wanted, he would
protect his brother at all costs. As he saw Kouichi near the door and before anyone else decided to intervene, he grabbed his shoulders and spun him around so that
they were face to face. Lobomon and Loweemon Dusk mode appeared at their respective partner's sides and just like the two teenagers they engaged in a staring
contest that made the atmosphere thicker than it already was.
"Kouichi, you can't leave us, its Duskmon that's talking not you" he pleaded
"I've made my decision Koji" he said as he tried to free himself from his brother's grasp
"I WONT LET YOU GO!" yelled Kouichi back at him
"Then it's your choice"
With that said, Koichi lifted his hands and also gripped Koji by the shoulders, he looked at him with coldness and in a whisper that only him and his brother could hear
he said
"I'm sorry, but it has to be this way, I need to keep you together"
He then head-butted Koji with full force, making him loose his balance and fall to the floor, the warrior of light was dazed and could see a copious amount of blood
coming from his lip and his nose that was probably broken.
"That should teach you to not interfere with things you don't understand" he said while he looked at Koji who was being lifted up by the rest of the Warriors
"You're going to need more than numbers to defeat Chaos, you will need unity, don't forget that. Goodbye brother" he said while he walked out the door
"Koichi! Wait!" yelled both Alice and Jeri as they followed Kouichi out the door leaving the three teams angry, confused and disappointed
Rainbow Bridge: Odaiba
Kouichi had managed to run at full speed all the way to the edge of the Rainbow Bridge, he was followed by Alice and Jeri who frantically chased after him trying to
get him to come back or at least explain the motives for his outburst. When they managed to catch up to him, he began to explain why he had done that to his
brother.
"If I continue to be a part of the team the rest of the groups will try to destroy us and I would never put my friends or my brother in that kind of danger, it's better
for them to believe that I've betrayed them and that I've left"
"I guess you're right" said Jeri sadly
"I don't know if I can fight Chaos, not with everything that's happened" spoke Alice while the other two teens looked at her with wide eyes
"What do you mean?" asked Jeri
"Well, I think that there's more to this story than what the sovereigns are telling us, think about it, if Chaos really is Davis Motomiya, the child of miracles and leader
of the digidestined, then why would he suddenly turn against his team members"
"Maybe he's being controlled" said Kouichi
"I don't think so, he seems to be acting like he feels motivated, he's not lost or disoriented, he seems firm and bent on continuing battle" responded Jeri
"But what do we do from no on?" asked Jeri
"Both of you will stay with the teams, if anyone asks you will say that I ran away and that you couldn't catch up to me, I will keep in touch and if we see Chaos again
then we will interrogate him about this whole situation"
"Alright, but where are you going to live?" asked Alice
"I have money that I brought here just in case and it seems to be the same type of currency that in the other dimension, I'll stay in a hotel for now and maybe I'll get
one of those odd jobs, well see what happens" he answered
"Alright but let's get something to eat at least, I'm starving" said Jeri pulling Alice, Kouichi and their digimon to a nearby burger shop
The group entered the establishment and ordered their food, they sat quietly looking at their respective plates, none of them wanted to talk about the incident at the
Kamiya apartment, they all knew that even though Kouichi was trying to keep them together, it would still be very painful to his teammates to see him go. Kouichi
began thinking of his brother, he felt sorry for what he had done but he knew that Koji wouldn't hold a grudge against him, not when he had done it for the greater
good. He decided to look up at the T.V. that was currently showing a drama, but was surprised when it was cut short
"Good evening citizens of Odaiba, we interrupt our regular broadcast to bring you live images of raging house fire that has consumed an entire property. Authorities
at the moment are trying to put away the flames and have managed to secure nearby areas, this however is not the most shocking part of the story, the authorities
have managed to secure two bodies that present signs of horrible torture and dismemberment, they were found nailed to the wall as if representing a crucifixion, the
police have at the moment no leads in the investigation, but they speculate that this could be a religious hate crime. I'm Keiko Kururugi, live from Odaiba"
Everyone had stopped eating, Jeri looked like she was about to throw up while Alice simply put the plate aside too nauseated to continue eating.
"Who could do such a thing?" asked Jeri with a hand over her mouth
"I don't know but whoever it is, he's not to be messed with" answered Kouichi
Three Days Later
Ace of Spades Bar Lounge: Kabukicho: Japan
It was the day of inauguration of Davis's new bar, he was calmly pacing in his office which was located on the second floor and had soundproof walls, Jade had
agreed to look after Lily while he and the angels performed on stage, since the early hours of the morning they had set everything up and now it was close to opening
time and he was anxiously awaiting the result of his first business excursion. The club was advertised everywhere from newspapers to webpages, he felt confident
about success and now he only had to wait a little longer.
The hours quickly passed and it soon turned into night, like expected people were flocking the club, the construction had been creative and elegant, everything was
straight out of a James Bond movie and yet it still retained an air of freshness and simplicity. Davis, Alexia and Victoria had chosen to wear something classy and
fashionable for their debut, they had decided to wear masquerade masks in order to conceal their identities because it would have caused them problems at school if
they were discovered playing at a bar without adult supervision. The group made their way to the first floor and admired the scene, people were crowding inside,
laughing and having fun, Davis and the angels walked to the back of the stage and waited for one of the employees to present them.
"Ladies and gentlemen, how are you all feeling tonight?" he asked in a bubbly voice while he caught the people's attention, they soon shouted and whistled signaling
that they were having a good time
"We would like to thank you all for coming here tonight, today is a special day not only because it is the inauguration but also because it is the debut and first ever
live performance of some very special friends…" the crowd cheered and awaited the entrance of the mysterious performers
"Ladies and gentlemen, the Ace of Spades bar gives you…. THE BAL MASQUE ANGELS!
The crowd cheered loudly as the group of teens stepped on to the stage and grabbed their respective instruments. The people were in awe of their elegance and
beauty, Davis was wearing a tight Victorian style coat with silver engravements and black pants and boots, his mask was silver with black outlines and covered all of
the upper part of his face, Alexia was wearing her traditional white Lolita dress with pink attachments and bows, while she wore a white and pink mask, finally
Victoria was wearing her typical black Lolita dress and just like Alexia she had adorned it with bows and arrangements that were red, her mask was red and had black
outlines.
The group began to play a slow ballad as everyone that had a partner danced slowly to the beat of the romantic music

The song finished with one last strum of Victoria's guitar, Davis opened his eyes filling himself with the emotion of the song they had just performed, there was a
definite silence in the bar and only the clanking of shot glasses was heard, for a moment Davis and his angels thought that they had performed badly, that impression
was short lasting. The crowd erupted in shouts and congratulations to the band, the men whistled at both angels while the women shouted promiscuous phrases at
Davis who could be seen smiling thru his mask.
"It seems like we did a good job"
"We sure did my lord, congratulations" responded Victoria via telepathy
"We should do this more often, master" said Alexia
"We are, but let's play a few more songs and get to the office; we still have to check on Lily"
Odaiba High School
The weekend had quickly ended and it was now Monday morning, the school gossiped about the two major things that were trending, the first was the brutal crime
that had taken place on Friday night and the other was the new band that had played at the new place that had opened in Kabukicho. Word was spreading quickly amongst the seniors and there was even someone that had a recording of the show. Davis walked past by the gossipers and as he was about to turn a corner into
another hall he took interest in what Kari and Yolei were talking about, he knew that it would be wise to listen carefully, after all, he didn't want any surprises now
that he had to take care of Lily.
"I'm glad that he left but I still think that we shouldn't trust them" said Kari
"Look Kari, I know your upset about what Kouichi did to T.K. but you saw what he did to his brother too, he's not on their side either, he's gone solo and we still need
to take care of Chaos, we need to stick together" answered Yolei
"Wow, who would have thought the little pest actually had sense of teamwork, I'm surprised" thought Davis as he continued to overhear the conversation
"I guess you're right, but we still have to find out where Kouichi is, for all we know he could we working for Chaos"
"Koji and the rest of the Warriors are on it, but it's going to take them a little more time"
Davis decided he had heard enough, he turned around and walked to the hallway that was opposite from the spot he had been in hiding. He was going to find Kouichi
and with a little bit of luck he could maybe even convince him to talk to the Tamers and Warriors so that they stepped aside and bailed out from the war that was
coming.
Olympian Towers: Tokyo
After picking Lily up from school, Davis had driven them back to the penthouse to eat and to help Lily with her homework. As they worked on the different
assignments; Davis realized that the child was very intelligent and could understand things rapidly, since she seemed to be doing fine with her math homework, Davis
decided to make dinner along with Alexia and Victoria.
"So I heard something interesting regarding Kouichi" said Davis while Alexia instantly lifted her head up
"And what may that be my lord" asked Victoria
"He apparently ditched his teammates and is now on the run" said Davis while both angels lifted their eyebrows in suspicion
"Why would he do that?"
"Lust you have to remember that the chosen and the tamers are completely against anything that is associated with darkness, they must of discovered his identity
and thrown him out"
"Should we try to find him?" inquired the demon lord of Lust
"I'm already on it, in a few more days I'll have more info but for now we'll have to wait"
*CRASH*
*SMASH*
A breaking sound was coming from the living room and Davis and the angels quickly reacted to it, they flung themselves over the counter and headed towards the
main room. It took their breath away when they saw a digiegg in the hands of Lily who was cradling it like a baby while looking at it with curiosity, Davis went ahead
of the angels and looked at the flipped over table and what it had under it, he pulled out an all-white D3 and a tag with a strange symbol.
"NO! Dammit" he said
"Master what is-?
"It's a crest" answered Davis
"It seems that it belongs to Lily along with the egg" said Victoria
"I'd never thought I'd see it again" said Alexia
"What is this crest? What does it represent?" asked Davis nervously not wanting to hear the answer
"Purity" answered Alexia while Davis felt his lungs run out of air
Ok so there it is. Kouichi has left the team, the performance was a success and now Lily has apparently become a chosen child. How will things change the couse of events? Will Kouichi join Davis in his fight? What digimon does Lily's digiegg hide?
