Davis had finished writing his phrase, he stood with pride and decision; looking at Ken, Kari and T.K. who were too shocked to say anything, he calmly walked back to
his seat, and as soon as he was close to sitting down, he heard T.K. spring up from his seat knocking down his chair in the process, as he was about to head towards
him, he was stopped by the teacher who gave him a hard glare.
"MR. TAKAISHI!" she said loudly "I would appreciate if you could wait to the end of my class to talk to your peers, there is still some time left, so I suggest you sit
down and wait for the bell"
Davis merely spared the group of chosen a side glance and a half smile, the bell rung and before anyone else could follow him and start to ask questions, he exited
the classroom in record speed, he headed towards the storage lot, careful not to be followed. The ST1 roared to life as the hazard chosen sped thru the Odaiba
streets towards Lily's school, all throughout the way he thought of the fun that awaited him and his angels, oh they were going to love his little prank, it was going to
be epic.
"ONI-CHAN!" Lily's voice signaled that he had reached his destination, he saw the small girl make her way towards the car skipping happily while other people stood
by watching the flamboyant car
"Man, it's a good thing the car is tinted to totality" he thought absentmindedly as Lily opened the door and put her bag in the small back space
"Hello Lily, how was school?" he asked as he turned on the car engine
"It was so fun! we learned about animals and how they live, I played in the sandbox, OH! And the teacher gave me a star because she said I was a good girl" she said
as she proudly pointed to a golden star that was stuck to her forehead
Davis felt his ice cold heart melt at the girl's enthusiasm, it surprised him how much this small child had changed his way of seeing life, he was still a killer, he was
still a dark king, but now he was also a protector, an older brother and she was his family.
"Wow!" he exclaimed surprised "That means you did well huh? I'm proud of you Lily, this calls for a treat" he said while he thought of something "I don't have
anything to do on the weekend, so what if we go and rent all the movies you want and watched them together with Alexia and Victoria, and we can order any food
you like. How's that sound?"
"ANY FOOD I WANT!" squealed the girl so loud that Davis felt his ears ring "YAY! I'm gonna get pizza, and pie, and.." the girl continued to rant about all the different
foods and movies she was going to get, Davis sighed and continued to drive, he wasn't bothered by the child but actually surprised that she held such enthusiasm for
life, she was pure indeed.
Ace of Spades Club: Kabukicho: Japan
Jade was preparing herself to work the night shift, she was happy with the changes that the new owner had made, she didn't know much about Davis, but she was
thankful that he was so kind and patient with all of the staff. As soon as he saw him walk in thru the back door along with Lily she greeted him with a slight hug and
picked up the small child who was more than happy to see her.
"JADE!" she said with happiness "Look, I got this pretty star in school" said the child as she showed the star to the young woman who smiled at her and then looked
at Davis who only shrugged his shoulders.
"She's really excited about her reward, but today I have things that I need to take care of" said Davis as he pulled out his wallet "Could you be a doll and watch my
dear sister while I am gone?" he asked with a charming tone
"Still the same charmer I presume" she said to which Davis made a mock bow "I was working the whole shift but I guess that I could skip for today, after all, I have
been making twice as much as I did before so all my expenses are covered for the month"
"You have no idea how much help you've been" he said as he gave her a small stack of money with a couple of bills "Here's to cover for your night and I also threw in
a tip since Lily seems to enjoy your company"
He bid them goodbye and walked off into the streets to his car, Jade could feel something big was going to happen today, she saw the way he looked, desperate,
hopeful? She hoped that whatever he was going to do turned out okay, she knew how much Lily loved the young man, the child may had not realized it yet but she
had an effect on people, that is why Jade never refused to take care of her, she was special, she was always happy and enthusiastic of life, she was a living reminder
that no matter how messed up your destiny had been, you should always give thanks for the things you have, no matter how small you think they are.
Olympian Towers: Tokyo
Davis relaxed on the couch in front of the fireplace writing on his notebook while he awaited the arrival of the angels who were still busy preparing all the things
needed for the "surprise" that would be held tonight. He swayed the pen with care as the words in his brain left the confinement of his mind and were turned into a
meaningful piece of literature. He spent a little more than half an hour until he heard the front door being opened as Victoria and Alexia walked in with a couple of
bags in her hands.
"My lord, we thought you would be home later, did we keep you waiting too long?" asked Victoria
Davis got up and closed his notebook; he set in on the side table and walked to meet his angels
"No, I've only been here for about half an hour, I already dropped Lily off with Jade and it gave me the time to relax a little bit before the surprise tonight"
"We apologize for taking such a long time, but we had to set everything up and buy all of the necessary products, it was easy but the dress did cost us a little more
time than we thought" mentioned Alexia
"I understand, now that we have everything there is one more thing that's needed to be done before the final preparation" he said as he used his D4A to send a
message to the chosen
"The time has come, the dark king has risen, Fuji TV building, today at midnight, DO NOT BE LATE! I WILL BE EXPECTING YOU"
Davis hit the send button and knew that there was no turning back now, the destined were to prideful and judging to miss an opportunity like this, it was now only a
matter of hours and everyone would get to see the true face of darkness.
"May I ask what you just sent master?" asked Alexia
"It's a message for the destined, I revealed the phrase I told you about today in class, you should of seen their faces, they were petrified, this message will just
confirm their suspicions because I'm sure that all of the groups must be on high alert because of what happened earlier today"
"Do you think they will come, my lord what if they decide to not show up?" asked Victoria
"I had the same doubt as you darling, but after the way they reacted this morning, I am completely sure they will not miss the opportunity to find out who they are
truly facing, they are growing impatient and are tired of the battles, that is why they will show up, oh they'll show up alright, after all, who could miss such a warm
welcoming?" he said while he chuckled darkly to which the angels smiled at him
The group gathered all the things that had been brought by Alexia and Victoria; they headed towards the top of the apartment skyscraper and waited for Davis's
instructions.
"Alexia, you will stay with me on top of the building, Victoria you will have more fun than any of us"
"What do you mean my lord?" she asked
"You will see, but for now let's get going, there is still much to do"
Izumi Residence: Odaiba
"Did you guys get the message too?" asked Tai to the Tamers
"Yeah, it said to meet at midnight in the Fuji building" answered Ryo
"DAMMIT!" growled Matt "The bastard is trying to set us up, he's probably planning to ambush us or something"
T.K. Kari and Ken hadn't said anything about what had happened at school, they had agreed to wait for the right moment, after the discussion continued for a period
of time, Kari decided that it had been enough, the groups needed to know that there was a high probability that their former friend was involved in the whole plot.
"Guys" she said as everyone in the room, human and digimon, turned to look at her "There's something that happened today at school
Ken and T.K. tensed immediately as Kari was urged on by everyone to talk about what had gone down earlier in the day
"The teacher asked us to write a phrase that meant something to us, everyone in the class did so, the transfer student-"she was cut off by Mimi
"That's the hot Italian guy right?" she said not understanding the gravity of the situation
"Yes, that's him, continue Kari" said Sora
"He was the last to go up, he wrote the phrase on the top of the board in big capital letters so everyone could see it, he then turned to us and glared with such
intensity that I felt my bones shiver"
"Kari" said Rika with annoyance "What does that have to do with the message?"
"The phrase he wrote wasRevenge is Justice in disguise" she finished with fright in her voice
The destined shared a look of pure terror, it was as if the color had been instantly drained from their faces, their backs shivered while their mouths became dry and
they had to constantly swallow saliva just to keep their throats from becoming raspy. The Tamers and the Warriors didn't know why the destined were reacting like
that but they assumed it was a very serious matter, if Lucemon had somehow managed to return, then there was nothing that could be impossible now.
"We need to go" said Ken breaking the silence
"WHAT! ARE YOU CRAZY? IT'S A TRAP DON'T YOU SEE?" yelled Tai at him
"I agree with him" said Sora voicing out her opinion
"But Sora" interrupted Yolei
"Look guys, you saw what has happened, all the carnage, we need to seek and attack while we have the upper hand" she said trying to convince everybody
"Well go with you" said Kenta with decision
"We know we may not be of much help but were in this together" said Kazu while the Tamers and Warriors nodded their heads
"Then its decided, today at midnight at the Fuji TV building" spoke Izzi with uncertainty in his voice
Hours Later
Fuji TV building: Odaiba: Japan
Midnight was slowly closing in as Davis awaited the arrival of his former teammates, he and the angels had managed to compel the staff to leave their posts and go
home, this caused the building to be shut down to its totality, which according to Davis was necessary for the "surprise". He and Alexia were on top of the building
close to where Wizardmon had appeared while Victoria was on the lower levels preparing herself for the show that was to come.
Midnight
Fuji TV building: Odaiba: Japan
Kouichi had presented himself to the chosen because he had received the same message as them, although he was received with hostility and another fight between
him and the group almost broke out again, they had agreed to let him accompany them because they had seen his outrage at seeing Lucemon alive, they were still
keeping close eyes on him though.
The chosen were now standing in front of the building and the first thing they noticed was that it was completely dark, there was not a soul in sight which was odd to
say the least, as the group entered the building they heard the slamming of various doors, Ryo, Takuya and J.P. went back to see if they were indeed locked inside
and indeed they were, at the moment Kari's D-Terminal went off and displayed a message directed to all of them,
"I will be expecting you at the top, fear is the barrier between accomplishment and failure, let the game begin"
At that moment all the lights inside of the building went completely off leaving the chosen in complete darkness.
Fuji TV Building Rooftop
Davis was communicating with Victoria via telepathy, he had just sent the message to the chosen that were now covered in complete darkness, he knew the tricks
that were going to be played and he honestly felt bad for Ai and Mako, so he made a decision, he would spare them the tricks and bring them up with him.
"Alexia"
"Yes master, is there anything I can do for you?"
"Bring Ai and Mako up here, I don't condone the use of the tactics that are going to be displayed on children, make sure nobody sees you, and here" he said as he
threw a flashlight at Alexia "It's for them, they're going to need it"
"Right away master"
Inside the building
The girls with the exception of Rika and even some of the guys screamed loudly as they realized that they were now trapped inside an unknown place and in complete
darkness, Ai was clutching her brother's hand as he tried to calm her down, Impmon then sensed something behind them, he quickly took a swing at it but with the
lack of light it was useless to try and defend themselves
"Ai, Mako you guys alright?" he asked and got no response
"Impmon is everything alright?" asked Jeri
"I felt something just now. AI! MAKO!" he called again with much more strength
"AI! MAKO!" yelled Alice hoping to hear the voice of either of the children
"Hey guys I found something" said Tommy who was close to Impmon "It's a flashlight?" he said with uncertainty
The flashlight was taken by Takuya who was leading the way, they assumed that Chaos had kidnapped Ai and Mako, they needed to get to the top in order to rescue
them, but the darkness became more and more hollow as they advanced from floor to floor, even though they tried to remain strong, they were scared, all of them.
Silence reigned thru the journey to the top and only the sound of breathing and footsteps was present that is until
*Drip* *Drip* *Drip*
"Guys can you hear that?" asked Yolei
"Something's dripping, but what is it?" asked Ken
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" screamed Zoe and Takuya who were up front
"GUYS! WHAT HAPP-" Koji was the first to call to them but as he saw what they were looking at his voice was cut off and he could only gasp in shock at what was in
front of them
The dripping continued to fill the silence, the rest of the chosen gathered around the Warriors to see what had caused so much fright and disgust from them. And
there it was nailed to the wall was a pig's head, its eyes bulging while pus burst from its ears and mouth, on the wall was a message in blood, a message not just to
them but to anyone who dared interfere with the dark king.
"Beware, the return of the king is close, enemies behold your destiny"
"Oh my God!" said Sora trembling while she held onto Matt's hand
"W-W-We h-a-ave t-t-to get o-ut of here" managed to mutter Kari
The group began walking past the gruesome scene, the animal's head seemed to be looking straight at them, they turned around and headed for the stairs and
continued with no more surprises for a couple of more floors, their fear was still present but they managed to calm down and continue their search for Ai and Mako,
they were so wrapped up in their fright and desperation that they didn't see the small figure watching them from the shadows.
Fuji TV Building Rooftop
Alexia had brought Ai and Mako to Davis who was humming a sad lullaby to himself as he watched the Tokyo lights in the distance, the two children had been
hesitant to approach Davis who was in his Chaos attire, but after he calmly explained to them that he would do no harm they began to feel more confident about him
and they even began to question him on the things that had happened.
"Why did you attack the others" asked little Mako
Davis looked at the boy and began saying "I can't tell you in exact detail but all I wanted was for them to stay out of my way, they didn't and unfortunately I had to
force them to"
"Is it true that you are evil?" asked Ai
Davis chuckled at this "I don't know honestly, I could say that I am not and yet my actions are the opposite, I could say yes and yet I prevented you from the things
your friends are about to see" he answered as he stood in front of them "What do you think?" he asked
Even though they were both young, the two children could see the depth behind the question made by the man; Mako let out all of his courage and said to him
"No, we don't, if you were evil then you wouldn't have saved Jeri and Alice, you're bad but you're not evil"
Davis directed his gaze to the sky and muttered a barely audible "Thank you, thank you for understanding"
Inside the building
Two floors remained, the destined were growing impatient, the lack of light, the gruesome scene and the desperation for Ai and Mako's wellbeing were evidently
taking a toll on everyone even on Kouichi who was supposed to be comfortable in the darkness, Tai had exchanged places with Takuya and he was now leading the
group thru what seemed like an endless maze.
"Can you hear that?" asked T.K. suddenly
"Hear what?" answered everyone else
"Ring around the rosies, a pocket full of posies" it was the voice of a child, a little girl to be exact, the tune was sung with innocence and yet it could send shivers thru
the spine of the bravest of men
"Ashes, Ashes, we all fall down, we all fall down" the tune ended with a loud giggle that came from the depth of the darkness at the end of the hall
The silence that followed indicated that something was wrong, very wrong, footsteps were heard in the hallway, the digimon stood in front of their partners in a
protective stance, the first steps were quiet and firm but then they started going at a faster rate, then it began to sound as if someone was skipping.
"Twinkle, Twinkle, little star, how I wonder where you are. Up above the world so high, like a diamond in the sky" the child's voice kept getting louder as her figure
approached, she giggled as she continued to sing "When the blazing son is gone, when nothing shines upon, then you show your little light, twinkle, twinkle all the
night. Then the traveler in the dark, thanks you for your tiny spark, he could not see which way to go, if you do not twinkle so."
The voice ceased as the final part of the lullaby ended, the chosen pointed the flashlight at the hall in hopes of seeing the thing that was singing those songs that
although they sounded harmless could have come out of a horror movie. The light was thrown straight at a figure that had appeared at a close range but was unable
to be seen due to the darkness.
"It's a kid?" said Izzi with disbelief "What the?"
The light had revealed a small child that looked to be no more than eight years old, she wore a white Lolita dress and was barefoot, her black hair hung on her lower
back and cascaded down her face like a black curtain, on one hand and pressed against her chest was a white bunny doll, she crept closer so that she could be seen
completely. The chosen stood in shock and unable to move as their minds took in the gruesome scene that the light had revealed, the child was indeed dressed in
white but there were stains of red, no, not stains, they were dripping, completely bathed in red liquid, it was blood. The bunny was ripped from one side and it too
was drenched in the liquid of life, her feet made a squishy sound as the destined realized she was standing over a pool of blood, on her other hand she had a long
knife that she innocently pointed at the chosen.
"Tee-hee" she giggled happily "Have you come to play with me?"
That was the last straw, the chosen yelled with all of their strength, the scream was heard all the way up to the rooftop and a smiling Davis was patiently waiting for
the arrival of his former teammates, Kazu and Kenta were the first to run for the stairs, they were followed by the rest of the Tamers and Warriors, the Destined had
tried to attack the figure but their terror combined with the child's speed rendered their intents useless. After what seemed like hours they managed to reach the
rooftop, panting and sweating they observed the terrain and saw Ai and Mako in the distance along with two other figures that they had learned to recognize from
their past encounters, Lucemon and Chaos.
"AI! MAKO!" yelled the Tamers
Davis looked at the group of chosen and was glad his plan had worked, they were evidently tired and scared, their normally proud and brave faces were now switched
to ones that reflected desperation, anger, resentment but more than that they reflected panic.
"Ai, Mako, it was a pleasure conversing with you, I hope that we may do so later on, but for now I believe that it is time for you to return to your friends" he said as
he ushered the twins who went to the spot where the others were standing
"Did he do anything to you?"
"Are you okay?"
"Did he attack you?"
The twins were bombarded with questions but quickly dismissed them by saying that they had been perfectly fine and that Chaos had acted like a peaceful person
and never tried to hurt them.
"Well, I hate to interrupt the touching reunion but I believe we have other matters to take care of" he said making everyone's eyes look to him "Ladies, gentleman,
you have survived my little surprise, quite sloppily if I might add but in the end you managed to get to the top, literally" he chuckled "You have seen my power, my
carnage and yet you have never seen my face"
"THAT'S CAUSE YOURE A COWARD WHO HIDES HIS UGLY FACE BEHIND A MASK! DON'T THINK THAT JUST CAUSE YOU BEAT ME ONCE YOU WILL DO IT AGAIN, I
WILL DO SO MANY THINGS WHEN I GET MY HANDS ON YOU! yelled and enraged Rika to him
Davis looked at the Tamer and smirked at her "Mmmm feisty, I like that, and trust me darling when I say that it is I who would do many things to you" he said as he
smirked seductively at her
Ryo saw this and quickly stepped forward in a fit of rage "HEY BUDDY! YOU GOT A PROBLEM!" he said as Rika looked at him in surprise
"Oh my bad mate, I forgot that she was your girl, my apologies I tend to get carried away especially when I'm talking to such an exquisite lady such as her, by the
way Ms. Nonaka, nice photo shoot, I look forward to the next one" he said while Rika bowed her head in embarrassment and Ryo looked like he was about to burst
"Hey don't worry, I'll send you the pictures later" he finished while he gave a low laugh
"ENOUGH!" yelled Kouichi gaining everyone's attention "Let's get this over with, show us your true face, that why you called us here in the first place isn't?"
"Always so intuitive" said one voice
"I can see why you preferred him over the others" said another
Two children stepped out of the shadows and positioned themselves in front of Chaos, everyone quickly recognized the first one as Lucemon, her blonde hair swaying
with the wind while her petite figure shone in the moonlight, the minute they saw the second child they flinched, it was the demon girl from the building, her cold
eyes pierced the destined as she thru the bunny in the air and turned it into ashes, clearly sending a message.
"Now, now darlings no need to be rude, after all they have won this round, I believe it is time for us to reveal ourselves."
"Your wishes are our commands" answered both angels
And thus the shape-shifting began, their bodies grew bigger, stronger, their chest quickly developed into one's of fully grown teenagers, their legs became long while
their waists became slim, their faces morphed into those of two inhumanly beautiful young woman. Finally they stood in all their glory, the far lights of the Tokyo
metropolis gave their presentation a dramatic look, the destined looked at the two teenage girls with unbelieving eyes, some of them wondered out loud about the
girls while the others merely gasped with their mouths open.
"How?" asked Izzi
"It's you" said Kari and Yolei
"Amazing" managed to mutter Ken
"It's impossible" said Tai
Davis took this opportunity to take control of the situation; he put each of his hands on the angels' shoulders and stepped forward
"Ladies, gentleman, and T.K." he said with sarcasm in his voice "Allow me to introduce my partners, my friends, my angels" he then made a brief pause "Alexia
formerly known as Lucemon, the demon lord of Pride, and Victoria formerly known as Lilithmon, the demon lord of Lust"
The chosen's jaws were practically on the floor by now, Tai and Takato were the first to recover and quickly pulled out their respective digivices with plans of
attacking the new formed angels. They were stopped by Davis who only spared them a glance and then looked at them in general
"Now that you know my angels, I believe it is time for me to finally introduce myself" he said as he took off his mask and threw it to the floor
The mask was off and he opened his breathtaking purple and black eyes, the light of the moon made them shine brighter than they normally did his face perfect and
serene with no imperfection whatsoever, the groups took steps back while the destined burned with rage and desperation.
"GABRIEL!" yelled Mimi
"I TOLD YOU GUYS, I KNEW THERE WAS SOMETHING WEIRD ABOUT THIS GUY!" said Matt
"GABRIEL! YOU ARE THE ONE RESPONSIBLE FOR EVERYTHING, YOURE THE DARKNESS, HOW COULD YOU? Y-YOU MONSTER! MONSTER!"
Davis laughed deeply at the reactions of his former allies, he took a look at the leaders of each team which were burning with rage, he then took a look at T.K. who
was looking at him murderously and finally at Kari, he had never seen the girl of light so angry, she had fire alright, too bad it had end in that way.
"That is where you are mistaken my dear friends, I am not Gabriel" he said while he turned around and pulled out several objects that he quickly put on his belt and
his forehead
"CUT THE ACT! WHAT DO YOU WANT PUNK?" yelled Koji at him
Davis turned around not paying attention to the words of the warrior of light, he instead looked directly at the digidestined, he showed the objects he had pulled out
of his pocket with pride as he put his old D-Terminal in the air, the destined instantly recognized the artifact, he then gestured to the one thing that separated him
from everyone else, his goggles.
"I am not Gabriel" he said with menace as he approached the destined and spoke loudly "I GO BY MANY NAMES, CHAOS, RIPPER, IMPALER, KING OF DARKNESS,
DEMON KING, BUT YOU REMEMBER ME BY ANOTHER NAME." he lowered his tone but was still firm and menacing "I AM THE CHOSEN OF COURAGE, THE CHOSEN OF
FRIENDSHIP AND THE CHOSEN OF MIRACLES, I AM THE LEADER OF THE DIGIDESTINED, IT'S A PLEASURE TO MEET YOU ALL, I AM DAVIS GABRIEL LUVIANNE, BUT
THE WORLD REMEMBERS ME AS….. DAVIS MOTOMIYA!"
It has finally come, the revelation of darkness, Davis has finally revealed himself, he has made it clear that he will eliminate his enemies, but what
will happen to the destined? What other things has he planned for them?
I know that this chapter is kind of predictable but I just had to do the whole horror scene in the building, I was itching to do it since a while back. I
promise to try and update more frequently now that school is over.
