Rage, pain , disappointment but most of all it was surprise and disbelief, everyone both human and digimon were now looking at Davis, the Warriors looked from
Davis to the angels and from the angels to Davis, they couldn't understand how two demon lords, DEMON LORDS! For god's sake had accepted to become partnered
to a human. The Tamers were in a state of shock and admiration, the last one coming mostly from Kazu, Kenta and Takato, this was Davis Motomiya or Davis
Luvianne for the fact, he was the legendary chosen, the strongest of them all, the child of miracles and the one that had managed to singlehandedly resist
MaloMyotismon. As for the destined, well they were more than surprised, Tai and Matt could not believe their eyes, this was the small kid that they had tried to
mentor, Yolei gulped loudly remembering all the times she degraded Davis and now look what he had become, T.K. was angrier than ever, he had warned the others
about the darkness and this was the result, he was never best friend's with Davis but he still tried to be civil, all of that was now gone, he had chosen the darkness
and he would regret it. Kari was another story, when she had first met Davis she had considered him her best friend, he was funny and always seemed to be happy,
but as the time passed and T.K. came back she slowly forgot about him, then he began to confess that he cared for her as more than a friend and that's when she
realized that she preferred T.K. s friendship, he was calm and collected and always knew how to make her feel better, they were destined for each other, right?
"CHOSEN!" it was Davis's voice that broke the chosen's induced trance "Before you decide to attack and lead yourselves to a painful death, I would like to explain
some things to you" he said as he relaxed his pose "I indeed was the leader of the destined, my partner is dead, and now I am here for revenge, I will not stop, I will not break" he said as he tensed up once again "Do not try to stop me for you will die" he then looked at Kari with his piercing purple gaze "I promised two things to
you, that I would be back and that I would make your lives a living hell, and I have done so for the past months, it is time to put an end to this feud" he said
Davis continued to look at Kari who seemed to be having a psychological war inside of her, as the years passed Davis learned to read people by the way their eyes
shined and reacted to words and events and he could see that inside of Kari was a battle of decisions. He then looked at Tai and T.K. he remembered how many
times he was compared to Tai and put below T.K. he was always number two in their eyes but now, all of that would change.
"Tai, you gave me these goggles and passed on the position of leader to me, however I was always overruled in decisions and regarded as your shadow, I was the kid
who wanted to be like the great leader and yet could never quite get to that position" he said as Tai looked guiltily at his feet "Well now it's time for you to prove that you were indeed stronger than me, fight me and we will see who the true leader is" he said, openly challenging his former mentor
Tai grabbed his digivice ready to biomerge at any moment, but he was stopped by Davis himself who proceeded to direct his voice over to the spot where T.K. was
currently fuming.
"Takeru, I cannot find the correct words to describe what I feel for you, I guess the most accurate one would be despise, even after all these years I still remember
our first encounter, how happy Hikari was to see you, how you acted as if you were superior to everyone, swaying your head as you walk thinking you stand on a pedestal, how you were always number one to everyone, the perfect guy, the perfect friend, the perfect leader. They treated you as a king, but now it is time for me
to take you off that pedestal and bring you down here with the rest of us mortals, so Takeru, prepare yourself because today we will find out if you are indeed better
than me"
Davis finished his speech and watched as the groups tried to make sense of what was happening, the Warriors were keeping a close eye on Alexia while the Tamers
were still looking at him in disbelief, Tai and T.K. had their digivices in hand and seemed to be prepared for battle. Davis watched as Kari's eyes began showing guilt
and remorse, she kept looking at Davis hoping to find a sign of the person he was in the past, but she found nothing, only emptiness and darkness.
"BIOMERGE ACTIVATE…. AGUMON BIOMERGE TO….WARGREYMON X" Tai was the first to transform into the armored two legged dragon
"BIOMERGE ACTIVATE….PATAMON BIOMERGE TO…. SERAPHIMON"
T.K. and Patamon had biomerged into Seraphimon, the Warriors couldn't help but feel nostalgic about it, they remembered their encounters with the seraph digimon
and even though they knew that this one wasn't the same one, it still made their hearts warm. As the teams were in awe and praised the two biomerged digimon,
Davis remained calm and collected, everyone seemed to think that he was going to be scared or that he would back down, fools, all of them , he would never back
down.
"Interesting, another angel, how predictable, although I must say that I am impressed, you are one of the strongest angel digimon" he said while he looked at
Seraphimon who looked confused at the compliment he was receiving "But not as strong or as beautiful as these two lovely ladies" he said as he looked at the two
demon lords and shot them a concealed smile which made them blush
"Davis you leave us no choice, you chose to become a monster and now it's time to pay for it" said Tai as he launched himself at Davis
The angels stepped aside and waited for their master to begin the battle, they had strict orders to not interfere with this match, this meant more than winning, this
was personal, and they could see from the look on Davis's eyes that he would show them just how wrong they were when they had called him weak.
Tai had launched himself at Davis who gracefully dodged the attack and made Wargreymon X hit a nearby wall instead
"FUCK! COME HERE DAVIS DON'T RUN!" yelled Tai as he realized he had busted his arm open
"Yeah I don't think s-" Davis was cut off by an incoming kick to the back of the head courtesy of Seraphimon
The kick hit Davis in the left side, he could feel his ribs crunch up and pain surge in the affected area, he doubled over and thru the corner of his eye he saw the
angels preparing themselves to kill Seraphimon on the spot.
"I'm Ok, don't worry my ribs are not broken and I am just getting warmed up" he said thru telepathy
"We understand master, but if you need assistance then by all means we will provide it" they answered and watched as the battle raged on
Wargreymon X had managed to get his fist out of the concrete and he was attacking Davis along with Seraphimon, Davis's was only dodging their attacks, he didn't want to attack them just yet, he wanted to measure their strength and then use that knowledge to his favor.
"WAR DRIVER!" yelled Wargreymon X as his claws gathered energy and he dived towards Davis who blocked the attack by activating the hazard barrier
The battle continued on, neither side seemed to be winning, although both Wargreymon X and Seraphimon continued to inflict damage on the chosen of darkness he
still managed to stay strong and continued fighting. The chosen watched in close range while keeping an eye on the demon lords for anything suspicious, they were
surprised that Davis hadn't attacked any of his opponents, some even thought that Davis might actually lose the battle, Kari was holding back her tears, she was
afraid of what might happen to her brother and at the same time she didn't want them to hurt Davis, Ken and Cody were looking at each other with nervousness,
they would be posed in the middle of the battle with a side to choose, Ai, Mako, Jeri and Alice were pondering on their choices as well, join him or oppose him, that
was the question that was concerning many of the present.
"He doesn't seem to attack them" said Sora
"Well maybe he's not as strong as he claims to be, after all he's fighting an archangel digimon" answered Matt with a hint of pride in his voice as he saw his brother
kick Davis in the back of his left leg
"You really think that, or are you just saying that because you want to boost your brother's power which in reality is not that impressive" said Victoria who was
followed by Alexia
The chosen instantly took a step back and got into fighting position gripping their respective digivices, their digimon stood in front of them acting as a shield while the
angels didn't seemed to care about it, they confidently strode until they were only a few feet away from them.
"What do you want?" asked Takuya biting his lip to control himself
"To tell you that you are mistaken" answered Alexia and then looked at Matt "You only say that because he is your brother, our master will not fail, in the end he will
stand on top"
"Then why isn't he attacking huh? If he's so strong and powerful why hasn't he ended this fight or killed them? He's strong but he's not invincible" said Ryo
"My, my, it seems that you are more naïve than we had expected, well then children, let me teach you something about war, first you measure up your opponent and
then you attack them were it hurts" said Victoria while she mocked the chosen who gave her angry glares
"He's testing them isn't he?" asked Kari with fear
"Yes, he is only testing their powers, I'm sorry but your brother and your pretty boy are about experience a very painful defeat" answered both angels as they made
their way back to the spot where they had first been
Davis had received a small number of blows from his former teammates, they hadn't affected his battle performance, on the contrary it made him want to fight them
even more, they were stronger than before he admitted that but they still lacked much of the experience he had. Finally after evading one of Seraphimon's strike of
the seven stars attack; he decided he had had enough, he had measured them enough, Wargreymon X relied on his speed but his strength and aiming were not very
good, Seraphimon on the other hand was stronger and had better aiming but was much more slower due to the excessive armor he wore.
"You know it has been fun, this battle, it has truly shown me just how wrong you were when you dared to compare me to these two" he said while turning to the
digidestined "Its time to taint the courage in black and leave hope in despair"
"HAZARD PISTOLS!" he invoked his inner power as the familiar chromed pistols appeared in each of his hands
"TERRA DESTROYER" yelled Wargreymon X as he launched the ball of energy at Davis who immediately reflected it and send it into the sky where it exploded into a
set of fireworks
"FIRE!" yelled Davis as he pulled the triggers of the hazard pistols
Davis began firing his pistols and managed to hit Seraphimon on his left leg instantly making him bleed, Wargreymon X was still in the air and diving for Davis, he
waited for the exact moment to strike.
"Closer, closer" he thought "NOW!"
"ANGELIC BLADE!"
Alexia's sword appeared in Davis's hand and he then proceeded to shove it into Wargreymon's stomach, the digimon cried in pain as blood burst from the wound that
had been inflicted, the chosen yelled to their friend but it was useless, he crashed to the ground and Davis then concentrated on Seraphimon who was even more
slow now that he had a wounded leg.
"EXCALIBUR!" yelled Seraphimon as he attacked Davis with his own sword in hopes of helping his friend and defeating the dark king
The swords clashed together, the metal clanking pierced the ears of those present while the two opponents faced off in a battle of power and speed. Seraphimon
seemed to have the upper hand since he was covered in metal armor and his sword seemed to hold more power than the angelic blade, Davis looked at his opponent
straight in the eye, his gaze burned him, he wasn't looking at the digimon, no, he was looking at the boy who had everything that he had ever wished for. With ge
in his mind and adrenaline in his body he pushed him back and began assaulting him with no mercy whatsoever, kicks, punches, swords, he used everything until he
found an opening.
"FIST OF THE BEAST KING!" he yelled as he threw a massive punch that made Seraphimon drop his sword
He quickly jumped into the air and before Seraphimon had the ability to react, an attack that made the Warriors tremble was heard in the night.
"GRAND CROSS!" he yelled
Ten burning spheres of light came from Davis's direction and went straight towards Seraphimon, he tried to block it with the strike of the seven stars attack but it
only made the blow even more powerful, he was hit head on and a blinding light covered the area, nothing could be seen, only the screams of the chosen interrupted
the apparent peace.
"T.K.!" yelled Kari while her eyes welled up with tears
"BRO, GET UP! TAKERU GET UP!" yelled Matt in desperation
Davis approached the spot where Seraphimon laid barely conscious, he had to give credit to the chosen of hope, if it had been anyone else they would of probably
died from the attack, instead the digimon was badly injured, blood came out from his sides probably from cuts caused by his own armor, his legs were badly injured
as well, he seemed unable to stand up. Davis could almost feel compassion for the guy, but then again why not have a little more fun with him.
"MIND ILLUSION!"
Seraphimon began to shake and convulse violently as his mind was invaded by horrible images and feelings, even in his damaged state he still managed to scream in
pain. Wargreymon X had somehow gotten up and was now charging at Davis who had his back turned, he was about to hit him when he was stopped by a blue flame
that danced around him and prevented him from moving.
"How pathetic Tai, attacking your opponents from the back, where's that brash courage that you held in such high place, you know what, I'm tired of this, it's time to
take out the trash" he said as he approached Tai who was still petrified
He grabbed Seraphimon and put him in front of Wargerymon X and then he turned to the chosen that were now petrified by Alexia and Victoria, who gave him a
reassuring nod,
"THESE ARE THE TWO IMBECILES WHO WERE SUPERIOR THAN ME, THE LEADER AND MR. PERFECT, AND YET HERE THEY ARE GROVELING ON THE FLOOR LIKE
SLUGS" he said with sickness in his voice, "MATT! KARI! I WANT YOU TO WATCH THIS, AS I MAKE YOU WATCH THOSE YOU LOVE SUFFER" he said as he jumped into
the air once again "GATOMON!, HERE'S A PRESENT TO YOUR LITTLE BOYFRIEND, COURTESY OF THE LEGENDARY DRAGON… VEEMON!" he said
"MAGNA BLAST!"
Dozens of missiles covered in gold appeared out of thin air, they were positioned and launched at the two injured digimon who yelped in fear, the attack hit them
head on, nothing escaped the wrath of the king, Kari fell on her knees and so did Matt, they were dead, that monster had killed them. The smoke cleared out and two
baby digimon along with two human teenagers were seen, heads down on the concrete with no movement whatsoever, Davis descended and grabbed Tai and
Koromon, he signaled Alexia to come and help him with T.K., the angel did so and they both were now heading to the spot where the chosen stood in despair.
"Do not worry for they are alive" he said as he and Alexia set them down, "They have exhausted all of their powers, they will remain in this state for a couple of days
until they recover"
Kari had been holding hands with Sora, desperately trying to hold back his tears and his rage, as soon as she saw an opening she went straight for Davis who could
see her from the corner of his eye, he decided against dodging whatever attack she could come up with. The girl of light began to hit him constantly, on his face he
received multiple slaps and punches while she hit his chest with all her strength.
"YOU MONSTER! MONSTER! I HATE YOU! I HATE YOU!" she cried
Davis wasn't bothered by the hits he was receiving, his body barely felt the petite girl's punches, he watched as she slowly stopped hitting him and looked up to meet
his gaze, her look was full of hatred and pain. He finally got tired of her dramatics and grabbed her wrists preventing her from moving,
"Hikari, you seem to be bent on making me pay for what I have done, I will give you a chance" he said and then yelled to the other groups "IN FACT I WILL GIVE ALL
OF YOU A CHANCE AT REVENGE, BIOMERGE NOW! AND COME CLAIM THAT PRIZE"
He shoved Kari away towards the arms of Matt who along with the rest of the chosen tried to calm her down. Jeri, Alice, Ai and Mako were hesitant to fight the dark
king, not only had they seen the extent of his power but they were also grateful for the kindness he had showed them, Davis sensed this and before anyone could
digivolve, he spoke again
"Ai, Mako, I do not fight children so if you could please be so kind to take Tai and Takeru to the hospital, also Jeri and Alice" he said turning to the girls "Please
accompany them"
The kid's digivolved Impmon into Beelzemon, he carried both T.K. and Tai while Jeri and Alice carried the digimon, from the corner of his eye he could see the chosen
trying to leave with them as well, he understood their worry but today they would face each other and nothing would interfere.
"Destined, I'm afraid I cannot let you leave at the moment, do not worry for they will take care of your friends, as soon as we are done here then you can freely leave
at any time, now please biomerge so that we can start this, I am getting impatient" he said
"WHAT MAKES YOU THINK YOU CAN KEEP THEM HERE! YOU ALMOST KILLED THEIR FRIENDS" yelled Koji
"Because if they decide to leave, then I will be forced to dispose of their friends" he said as everyone went silent
The chosen could see from way his phrase was worded that he wasn't joking, he was dangerous and lethal and they would find a way to stop him, he motioned his
angels so that the teams were now standing face to face, the Warriors kept their burning eyes on Alexia while the Chosen and the Tamers looked at him.
"The time has finally come, you have been formidable opponents, but I'm afraid that this is the grand finale, ladies, gentleman, I wish you the best of luck, you will
need it" he said in a classy tone as he took a small bow and awaited his enemies

After all of the chosen finished transforming and uniting with their respective digimon; Davis took a look at the panorama in front of him, hostility was in the air and
put so much pressure that it was begging to become difficult to even breathe, he took a look at Ophanimon who targeted him personally, this wasn't the Kari he knew
this one was bent on making him pay for what he had done, but she was wrong, she was so wrong.
"Impressive, I see that each and every one of you has managed to achieve full power, I must say that I am beginning to regret asking all of you to fight me" he said
"You may have beaten two of us, but what are you going to do with twenty one of us?" said Valkyrimon
"FACE IT DAVIS! YOURE DONE FOR!" yelled Ornismon at him
"NOT EVEN THOSE MONSTERS WILL SAVE YOU THIS TIME" said Beowolfmon pointing at Alexia and Victoria who looked offended
Davis realized that he was outnumbered indeed, he would need a miracle to get out of this one, and a miracle he would get, he turned around, pulled out his old D-
Terminal and pushed a small button on the left side of the screen, in a matter of seconds a golden digiegg emerged from it, the destined could only watch as he held
it in his hand and said to them.
"This battle is unfair to us, so I guess that it is time to even the odds" he lifted the egg in his hand so that everyone could see what it was
"It's the golden digiegg" said Ophanimon X
"It's not going to work with those monsters" said Zeedgarurumon
Davis heard this and smirked at the large metal dog, he threw the egg in the air and yelled with all of his strength
"GOLDEN ARMOR ENERGIZE!"
The digiegg began to radiate a golden light that made it impossible to see, it engulfed both Alexia and Victoria who were lifted into the air and began changing their
forms.
"LUCEMON MIRACLE MODE!"
"LILITHMON MIRACLE MODE!"
Davis smiled at the two new digimon that stood in front of him in a protective stance, they were similar to the normal Lucemon and Litihmon but this time they were
covered in golden robes and on their backs were wings with golden stripes and to top it off, each of them had golden halos around their heads.
"Ladies and gentleman, I give you the miracle angels" he said with pride as he extended his arms and pointed them at each of the angels
The chosen were in awe of what was in front of them, they were sure that the miracles digiegg would not work and yet the angels managed to perform a perfect
armor evolution, the warriors remembered Lucemon's power and now that she had armored digivolved she would be even stronger. Davis looked at them once more
and said
HAZARD PISTOLS!" said Davis as the pistols appeared in his hands once again
"You see, when I was a child my mother used to tell me stories of angels and demons, she used to say that I was her little angel, and I guess she was right" he said
as his eyes began flashing different colors
"AZAZEL'S WINGS" he yelled
Two black wings appeared on his back, they were bigger than those of Seraphimon and even Lucemon, black as the night and majestic as the finest of diamonds,
they stretched and moved with the wind,
"Now were even" said Davis with a smirk as he launched himself at Aldamon
So there it is once again, the finale is getting closer, it is only a matter of time for Davis to find the portal, but meanwhile, what will happen to Tai
and T.K.? Will Kari ever forgive Davis for what he had done? Has Davis finally met his match?
