It had been a few days and I was still in the cell. No one wanted to open the door, but I did eventually get a change of clothes that came in through the window. I wore a black halter top and a rainbow speckled leather skirt. I was pretty hungry. It wasn't as bad as the tomb because I could get out if someone opened the door, but there was a lot less space to walk around, so it was definitely more boring.

"So I think that you're finally better." Lexi told me. "Just try to stay away from open wounds for a while. You could probably be able to be in a relationship. Maybe you should go back to New Orleans to see if Marcel remembers you."
"I was actually going to head to Mystic Falls." I explained. "My nephew Joseph sent me a letter saying that he wanted to see me."
"Well you do need to be careful." She warned me. "The last time you went to see a relative was where this mess started."
"I won't let Damon get to me this time." I promised. "So we're still on my birthday in New York. I wanted to see Frank perform."
"Did you also want to fuck Frank?" She teased.
"Well those blue eyes still look good as they did when he first came out." I stated. "I probably wouldn't mind it if the opportunity came up."
Present
I didn't have sex with him. I was a pretty good performance though. I had found Joseph dead on the floor when I got there. I was positive that Damon had been behind it, even though it wasn't until 1968 that I saw him and then it was him that had turned off his humanity. I wasn't able to get a reason why he had done it.
I wished that I had a Gameboy or something. It was better than writing Glee fanfiction in my mind. I still couldn't believe that Finn was dating Rachel. Finn belonged with Quinn.
I was at least glad that I didn't have to hear Lexi's preaching anymore, even though I wouldn't be surprised if she was still talking to Elena. I figured that I didn't have a high chance of winning Homecoming queen while I was in there, but I probably could compel someone if I got out in time. I would have to get out first. I suddenly heard footsteps.
"So do you think that you can get him to open up?" Damon asked.
"I know what I'm doing, Damon." Jeremy replied on the phone. "How does she look?"
"Her hair's a mess." Damon said as he came close the door. That was because I hadn't been able to wash it or even brush it.
"She'll have to get over it." Jeremy stated before he hung up.
"Please come in, Brother." I told him.
"She speaks." He commented.
"He's annoying." I mimicked.
I then noticed that he was beginning to open the door.
"What are you doing?" I asked.
"I don't see how this is going to work." He declared as he finished opening it. "I don't see how being cut off from humanity will help you turn yours back on."
He did bring up an interesting point there.
"I'm not looking to turn it back on." I pointed out.
"Well you need a night out." He suggested. "We can go drinking. Just follow one rule: no killing anyone."
"Well I haven't eaten in a few days, so I'll probably have to feed from a few different people." I declared. "And I need some makeup before I go on a night out."
"That's why I came prepared." He remarked before he pulled out my kit. There were quite a few jokes I could make but I refrained.
"Why are you doing this?" I inquired.
"Because I've never had a drinking buddy that prefers my beverage of choice." He answered. I giggled as I began to apply my red lipstick. "Let's go. You can do that in the car."
"So where are we going?" I questioned.
"Well it's somewhere outside of Mystic Falls, so you won't have to worry about anyone on vervain." He promised. "We're going to get some liquor into that little body of yours."
"You know if this is some ploy to get me to turn my humanity back on, I'll bite you." I threatened. "I doubt Rebekah would be willing to give you her blood. I just wanted to make myself clear."
We went inside the bar and I saw a bunch of warm bodies. I licked my lips in anticipation as I searched for a victim.
"So what does Jeremy think about this?" I asked.
"I'm going to call him right now." He stated as he took out his phone.
"Where are you?" Jeremy asked.
"No idea, but I'm pretty sure I'm overdressed." Damon replied.
"I'm gonna go get us some drinks." I declared.
"Is that Sara?" Jeremy asked.
"Hi Jeremy." I replied.
"How could you let her out?" Jeremy yelled.
"Locking up a vampire is only going to make them hungry. I know what I'm doing, Jeremy." Damon promised. I was still trying to figure it out. He then hung up. "So what are we drinking? Scotch? Bourbon? Budweiser?"
"I want something warmer and blonder." I declared as I pointed to a bartender with a nametag that read Callie.
"I need to see some ID." She declared.
"No you don't." I compelled. "My brother would like a shot of your best bourbon and I would like a shot of you."
Callie filled up a glass and held her arm out for me. I supposed that I could not kill her.
"Bottoms up." I declared before I bit into her.
"Hi Callie." Damon told her as I drank her blood. I wasn't sure why he felt the need to flirt with her. Tina would gladly say yes if he asked her. Though, my brother's love life really wasn't my business.
I then took Damon to a table with Callie to me. We were playing a drinking game. I was trouncing him.
"Drink." I responded.
"How is it that someone like you is so good at a drinking game?" Damon asked.
"Well the bunny diet made me more irritable and I had to find something to help with the cravings." I answered. "That and I was best friends with Lexi, who loved to party, especially before meeting Leah."
"I probably shouldn't have agreed to this." He commented.
"I know that you're afraid of what will happen if you don't keep me amused." I stated. "Don't be so surprised. I'm stronger than you now."
"I'm gonna need another bottle." He told Callie. "So I can see that you care enough about me to keep me alive."
"I just don't have a reason to kill you." I pointed out. "So do you see anyone hear that you want me to have sex with? I won't be picky as long as they're not fat."
"Yeah, I'm not going to set up with anyone else." He declared.
"So that means that you still ship me and Jeremy, even after I killed your girlfriend." I remarked.
At that moment, Callie came back. Damon shot a quarter into the glass.
"I think you need a drink." He stated as he held out Callie's arm. I instead went for the bottle and took a big sip.
"You're changing the rules." Damon noted.
"I never said that there were any rules." I replied as I poured more down my throat. "I will decide what I want to drink. Now I'm bored. Callie, go cover up and forget what happened."
I decided to find someone who else to drink from as I noticed Damon was dancing on the bar with a pair of girls that looked like they belonged in a Country video.
"Alright, enough of this one." Damon replied as he came over and tied a bandana around the girl's neck.
"When did you become such a buzzkill?" I asked.
"Maybe I wanted to remind you what freedom was like before Klaus took it from you." He suggested.
"You think that I'm not free?" I asked. "Once again, all Klaus did was compel me to turn it off. I'm still his protégé, not his slave. I don't care if he lives or dies. Yeah, the thing is, I think turning me into a hybrid removed the other compulsions."
"Then why wouldn't you let Elena die?" He asked.
"Did it ever okay to you that I might actually like guys?" I questioned. "If you have a plan to kill Klaus, I am all ears."
"I would say that I'm quite interested in that myself." A man interrupted. I had seen him before back when I was in Chicago in the 20s. It was then that I realized why he was looking for Nik and Rebekah.
"Hello, Mikael." I greeted him. Damon looked surprised that I was being so calm.
"I see that you've fallen in with the wrong crowds yet again, Sara." He remarked.
"You know my name." I declared.
"I knew who you were in the 20s." He explained. "I just realized that you had been compelled to forget my children and that you were no use to me."
"You're the guy that we want?" Damon asked.
"I don't see a ring on your finger." Mikael noted. "I assume that it was part of that bastard's plan to turn a vampire into a hybrid. So can you tell me where she is? Is she out of the country?"
"I haven't been keeping track of her." I admitted. "I know that she was looking to make more hybrids, so if I had to guess, I would say no."
"Have you spoken to her since she left?" Mikael then asked me. I was a bit annoyed by all of the questions that he was asked, but I knew if I didn't answer them, he would just compel the answers out of me.
"No." I replied. He probably wasn't very happy that he wasn't getting any answers.
"Is this your plan to find Rebekah?" Damon asked. "You're going to play fucking 20 questions?"
"Damon, I don't believe that I was talking to you." Mikael remarked. "I've been a vampire hunter longer than you've been alive. I know all of the different ways that I can kill you. I think you should do both of us a favor and just shut up."
I kind of liked Mikael for that.
"Your daughter has been running for a thousand years." Damon pointed out before Mikael reached into Damon's chest. He should have shut up. He then looked at me. I couldn't help but feel a bit nervous that he would do it. "Get him to stop."
"What do you want?" I asked Mikael.
"I want to know if you have a way to contact Rebekah." He declared. I began to wonder if I should tell him. I couldn't help but wonder if Originals were in any way affected by werewolf bites. "You know each second that you waste, I am more likely to pull out your brother's."
"She doesn't care about me." Damon argued. "Her humanity is turned off."
"Well that is very unfortunate for you." Mikael replied as I realized that he was about to do it and I needed to speak up.
"Yes, I have a way to contact her." I remarked. "I can get her to come back."
"Then you need to do that." Mikael declared as he began to wipe his hands off. "Get my daughter to go back to town and I will gladly drive a stake through her heart. Fail and I will rip yours out."
I decided to prove it. I took out my phone and showed him Rebekah's number in my contacts.
"Well, I guess there are bigger buzzkills than you." I told Damon. "I'll help you kill Rebekah, but there will be no more locking me up."
We left the bar and I wanted to keep my hard face on. I didn't want anyone to know.
Once I was home, I made sure no one was around and I began to cry. Mikael putting Damon's life made me turn it back on. After all of the years that Lexi had spent trying to get me to turn it back on in the past, that was really all it took to get me to care again. Of course I didn't care as much about Damon as I did at the moment. I couldn't help but wonder if Mikael was intentionally trying to get me to do it or he had done it by accident.
The problem with it all coming back was that everything came back at once. I hadn't actually killed anyone, so I didn't feel the guilt of that, but I did feel the guilt of killing Dana and that guy. I was also hit with the realization that I was a hybrid and I had no way of going back. I had this new side of me that I didn't want. It basically meant that I naturally produced a liquid that was toxic to vampires. While it could be useful against some, it also meant that blood-sharing was basically out of the question. I had done it with Marcel but I wouldn't be able to do it again with a vampire that I was in love with, whether it was Jeremy or anyone. On top of that, I had the ability to turn into a wolf, but I had no idea how to control it. I wasn't sure what I had done to activate it before and if it happened at the wrong time, I could hurt or kill my friends.
I had to be strong. I didn't want anyone to know that I had turned it back on. I would fake it, at least until Rebekah was dead. That was what I needed to focus on and I would only show emotion if it was absolutely required. I had to kill her. I was not going to let her make it past Homecoming.
So Sara actually turned her humanity back on early, but she's got a lot of problems from it. As you can see, she does not like being a hybrid. Please don't forget to review.
