Eve was never sure what Amy would do to her. Amy had never threatened or hit Eve, not even when Eve had betrayed her. Amy might be willing to die for the collective, but would she kill Eve for the collective?

Eve: So, what now?
Amy: I would kill and die for the Brotherhood. But I won't hurt you.
Eve: Thank you.
Amy: The Brotherhood will come after us for this, unless we leave.
Eve: So we flee, to Los Angelas?
Amy: Get whatever you need, we leave in ten minutes. I have a friend who can help us with fake IDs to get across state lines. We could probably get there by Saturday, but we need to get going immediately.

Amy and Eve left shortly before sunset. There seemed to be something cool and symbolic about riding off into the sunset. Before they got out of Arnett Amy stopped. She said this was the home of her friend, the one with fake IDs for them. Amy asked Eve to wait in the car, her friend might get spooked by a new face. As Amy went in Eve called Ranger Burkle, let her know about the Brotherhood's plan. She still didn't know all their targets, only Jason Atkins. Burkle said she'd put extra security on the assembly people. After Eve hung up she saw Amy at the front door, a woman answered. Before anyone could react Amy pulled out a gun and shot this mystery woman in the head.
Eve was in shock, her girlfriend had just murdered a woman. Amy ran back to the car and quickly drove away. They had to get away now. Eve was scared, sweating, rapid heart-beats. What exactly had just happened? Amy tried to comfort Eve. It took a few minutes for Eve to realie what had just happenned. Amy was completing her mission, assasinating a pro-Texas legislature. Getting out of town was still a priority, now they just had more people coming after them. Eve once again fund herself in a dangerous situation.
Amy and Eve drove for over two hours. Even then it was just to use the restroom, bought some take-out food and ciggarettes. Then they drove in uncomfortable silence. When they finally talked, it wasn't pretty.

Eve: Why did you lie to me?
Amy: I was protecting you.
Eve: Making me an accessory to murder?
Amy: The Brotherhood thinks you helped me complete my mission. The Texas Rangers believe you cooperated fully with them. You've got all your bases covered.
Eve: What do I say when they ask me why I went with you?
Amy: I kidnapped you. If we can make it to California, we'll be fine.
Eve: Will we? Douglas calls the Brotherhood terrorists, an extremist group not allied with the collective government.
Amy: He has to say that officially. The truth is, this country was founded by revolutionary groups like them, and the Sons of Liberty.
Eve: What exactly do we do in Los Angelas?
Amy: Our best bet is to join the collective army. Don't mention the Brotherhood and we'll be fine.
