And I'm back, everybody!
I just want to say thank you for all who have kept up with the story; I honestly was not intending to be over 70 chapters. Anyway, about the Ch. 69 thing, I won't lie to ya, I seriously was thinking about it, but I needed to put something before that that would...well...split Wind and Lima a bit. Anyway, hope you enjoy this chapter!
"Hmm hmmhmm hmmhmm~."
Sierra, Hotel, and I all stood on the opposite side of the team room, almost in fright, at the sight of Lima with a smile on her face, combing her hair. I almost couldn't believe my eyes at my almost too cheerful partner as she happily skipped around the room, grabbing things that she would've needed for the day. We followed her with our eyes as she moved from one end of the room to the other, organizing the room as Sierra reluctantly asked, "Umm…Lima…? What's…going on…?"
Lima turned her gaze on us, causing all of us to flinch as her golden irises landed on us, her smile smothering her usually dull expression. She cocked her head to the side as, then approached us. I blinked in confusion as she leaned towards us and replied, "…good mood…."
Huh. That's…rare. Very rare.
I began wondering what in the world she did with Wind yesterday that had put her in such a good mood.
Maybe they did make up….
"Windsickle."
Wind looked up from his studying, looking at Sword as his new partner approached him and asked, "Where were you yesterday?"
"I was with-," Wind said, catching himself before he said his girlfriend's name. Sword raised an eyebrow in curiosity as Wind looked away, suddenly growing hot from his partner's gaze. He could only imagine what his new leader would do to him if he was found out about spending the day with Lima.
A Faunus.
Sword despised the Faunus with a passion.
"He was with me," Dagger finally spoke up, approaching them from the side, lightly pushing Sword away. She stared into his eyes, drawing patterns on his chest as she continued, "And I was with Sierra yesterday."
"Oh…really?"
"Yes, really," Dagger replied, tiptoeing up to his ear and whispered, "Now, there's something I need to talk to him about…so if you could please…?"
Sword sighed, finally exiting the team room, allowing Wind to let out the breath he didn't know he was holding. Dagger did the same, turning to face him. Wind smiled up at her and said a quick thank you, only to get cut off from Dagger, who leaned in and whispered, "But seriously, what the hell did you do yesterday…!?"
Wind, clicking with Dagger, whispered back, "I was with Lima all day…!"
Dagger's mouth dropped, almost in disbelief, as she whispered, "You know you're not allowed to see her anymore…!"
"You think I give a fuck…?"
Wind kept his voice down as a yawn suddenly filled the room. The two turned around, seeing Rust sit up. He stretched, then spotted the two, opening his mouth to ask a question, only to get blasted out the window by Wind's wind semblance.
Lima's ear perked up, catching our attention as she walked over to the door, peeking out the room, where other students were looking at Team SWRD's room.
I walked over, peeking over her shoulder, spotting Sword, who had turned around to look at the room door, pulling Lima back in, receiving a yelp of surprise from her. Throwing her at Sierra, who caught her with ease, I walked out of the room, closing the door behind me as I walked up to him. He turned to face me as I asked, "What happened with them?"
"No clue," he replied, walking back to the door. I followed him as he opened it, revealing Wind with his hand up at the now broken window, Dagger on the ground, as if she were dodging something to the right of the door, and Rusty's groans of pain outside. I suppressed a laugh as Wind slowly turned around, spotting Sword and I, regaining his composure as Dagger jumped up to her feet, running over to him. Grabbing him by the collar, she screamed, "WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT FOR!?"
Wind began to try to explain, only to get clobbered by her. I laughed uncontrollably as Sierra approached us, stopping just in time as Dagger threw him out the window in the hallway. Dagger ran out of the room, leaning out the newly broken window and screamed, "THINK ABOUT WHAT YOU DO BEFORE YOU DO IT, DUMBASS!"
"…Dagger…," Sierra said, causing me to stop laughing at the tone of her voice. I could tell that Dagger was frozen in place as she slowly turned around to face Sierra. My team leader had a clear angry mark on her forehead, as well as the deadly aura swirling around her as she approached her "pupil" and said, "…self-control, Dagger…."
"Y-Yes ma'am!"
Dagger quickly bowed apologetically, causing Sierra to sigh.
Regaining my composure, I stood up, hearing Sword ask, "Is you leader always like that?"
"…you have no idea…," I replied as Sierra walked past me, touching my shoulder as she said, "I'll just pretend I didn't hear that, Delta…."
I flinched, quickly apologizing as she said, "Save it…we have bigger things to worry about…."
What?
"Sword," Sierra stated, turning to face him. Sword turned to face her as she said, "Team SWRD is to rendezvous with Team SHLD in our next class assignment."
Whao, what the fuck…?
"Direct instruction from the headmaster," Sierra quietly said to me, "I have no say in it. Do your job, get in and out quick, and keep your eyes on Lima."
I sat in the locker room, taking in a deep breath, then letting it out, repeating the process.
Keep your eyes on Lima…don't trust her with Sword…protect your partner….
I took in another breath, letting it out again as a knock on the door caught my attention.
Looking up, I walked over to the door, swinging it open to see Ruby standing right in front of me.
"Ruby? What's up?"
Ruby pushed me back in, closing the door behind her as she entered the locker room with me. I blinked in confusion as she pressed herself up against me. I felt a rush of adrenaline spike itself through my body as she wrapped her arms around me and said, "…are you gonna be alright…?"
Oh, she's worried, isn't she…?
I wrapped my arms around her and replied, "I'll be fine Rubes…but I'm more worried about Lima."
"I am too," she replied, "I want to go with you guys…."
I chuckled and answered, "You'd have to ask Ozpin for that."
Suddenly, she kissed me, catching me off guard. I blinked several times as she pulled away, grasping my cheeks, pressing her forehead against mine. I looked at her, seeing the lust in her eyes as I pressed my lips against hers, my heart beating faster as we slowly deepened the kiss. My tongue slipped into her mouth as she looped her arms around my neck, pulling against me roughly as I stroked her hair, pressing her lips harder against my own.
I swear to god, this is gonna be the worst place that we've ever-.
"Goddamn Delta, take that to a room or something."
GodDAMMIT ECHO!
We broke the kiss, both turning to see Echo looking straight at us as he closed his locker room, smirking victoriously.
Long story short, we all got our cardio for the day.
Geez, I should really have Echo stop ruining the mood XD. See y'all later!
