Odaiba High School: Parking Lot
The grip on Tai's neck was getting stronger by the second, the chosen and their families cried and yelled at Davis to stop but he just wouldn't listen, he was in a state
of such anger and desperation that all pleas, even those from his friend and the girl he had cared for, all of them were ignored.
"My king!" said Wisemon nervously trying to calm Davis down and prevent him from killing the group "Please lower the chosen of courage, it seems that he indeed
knows nothing of the kidnapping"
"WHERE IS THE CHILD!" yelled Davis at Tai, ignoring Wisemon's words "Oh you don't want to talk" he said as he punched Tai in the stomach making him double over
in pain "Well" he said as he turned to his friends and family "I am a man of my word and I said that I would make you watch as I kill those you love, it's time for me
to keep my promise"
The petrifaction ended but before anyone could prevent Davis from attacking, he was already in front of them, his eyes froze their movement and he began to pace
around the group like an animal with its prey, he stopped when he was in front of Sora and said with menace.
"You've always had a soft spot for redheads" he said as he grabbed Sora's wrist with force "Your choice mate, the information or the girl you've crushed on for years,
the clock starts ticking"
As he finished his sentence, he petrified everyone once again, he pulled out his chrome pistol and pulled Sora closer to him, Sora's mom screamed in fear as she saw
the weapon in Davis's hand, the chosen of darkness didn't want to hurt Sora so he waited until Tai stood up and instead of shooting Sora, he merely let her go and
went back to Tai while pointing the pistol at him, he scanned thru his mind and found nothing, this made him even angrier than before.
"I see, there is nothing in your mind that tells me her location, but for all I know you could just be hiding it very well, if you cannot give me any info then you are of
no use to me" he said
Tai couldn't anything but close his eyes, he knew he was no match for Davis, he waited for the sound of the pistol going off but instead he heard ringing of what
appeared to be a cell phone alert, he opened his eyes to see Davis pulling out a strange looking touch screen device.
Davis looked at the message that was received in his D4A
"It seems that you're missing something demon of darkness, whether the child is fine or not that all depends on you, the coordinates to the central quadrant are
here, meet us there and we will have a little talk, fail to do so, AND THE CHILD DIES!" said the message, Davis gripped the device with so much strength that it was
a surprise it didn't break
Those bastards were going to pay, he would go to them and let them think that they had the upper hand, but when the time came, he would slaughter them like pigs,
he looked at Tai and lowered his weapon, he then signaled his angels to stand by his side as he unpetrified everyone else.
"It seems that destiny has let you live another day, senpai," he said with venom "Make no mistake, I will get her back and after I do so, I will bathe this dimension
with the blood of the gods and everyone who dared harm her"
After saying those words he rapidly sped to the other side of the parking lot not even waiting for anyone else to follow, he couldn't open a portal there in the middle
of the lot, he needed to get to Highton View as soon as possible, so he quickly got into the ST1 and made the engine roar as he sped out into the night towards the
central quadrant, but not before giving final orders to his two partners.
"Don't let them follow me, prevent them from coming here, I'm going to the central quadrant to rescue Lily, I may need help, stay alert"
The group watched as the supercar sped away and began to wonder about the situation they had experienced a couple of moments ago, who was the child that Davis
was looking for? Why had he left as soon as he had looked at the strange device? Where was he going and why weren't his partners following him?
The angels looked at the group with a impenetrable mask showing no emotion or worry, but their eyes told that they were worried, something had happened and
they couldn't prevent it, Wisemon looked at the group and gave them a gaze of apology as he nodded his head in a show of sincere remorse for what had happened.
The chosen were not buying it, now that Davis was gone they had managed to call the Warriors and the Tamers for backup, soon the parking lot was full of teenagers
while their digimons hid nearby, the situation was getting out of control, Wisemon being the calmest of the group, decided to step up and talk about the incident that
had gone down.
"As you can see there is much hostility, I give you my most sincere apology for the actions of the king, please understand that this is the first time that a situation
like this has presented itself"
"That monster almost killed my daughter, how can you say that to us and expect us to simply accept it" said Sora's mother as she hugged Sora protectively
"I understand and like I stated before, this situation has gotten out of control, there is an innocent life pending at the moment, that is why the king is so hostile, he
cannot afford to lose that life" he said
"Who is this king you talk about, is he that Davis boy? What does he want with the children?" asked Tai's father
"Indeed, that boy you speak of is the king of darkness"
"Since we got here, we've been hearing that title and we still don't know what the hell it means, what is he?" asked Takuya not bothering to watch his language in
front of the adults
"It means, dear warrior of fire, that he wields powers far greater than your mind can comprehend"
"We already know he's strong, but what was he babbling about before, we didn't take anyone from him, we haven't had any contact with the digital world in a while,
we agreed on a cease fire, why would he believe that we would go against that?" asked Izzi
A female voice broke into the conversation making everyone turn to look at her "Because you already went against him once" it was Alexia who had spoken
"Or have you forgotten about Veemon's death" added Victoria
Highton View Terrace
The apartments were already in view, the speedometer was hitting 150 miles per hour as the car made rough turns that caused the tires to screech loudly as it made
contact with the pavement, the chosen of darkness parked the car in an empty spot and practically jumped out of it, he looked around checking the terrain for any
enemy presence, when he found none and realized he was all alone, he didn't even bother to get inside the building, he summoned his angel wings and rapidly flew
to the top of the apartment complex. The top of the apartment was a wasteland, nothing in sight to stand in his way, he could feel the energy radiating off the area
like a burning sun, he slowly made his way to the center of the tower, he pulled out his D4A and with anger and desperation he yelled.
"DIMMENSIONAL RIFT! CENTRAL QUADRANT PORTAL, OPEN!"
Odaiba High School: Parking Lot
The destined were silenced by Victoria's words, they cut a hole in their defiance and they held their heads low, the other two teams, especially Jeri, Alice and Kouichi,
were curious about the death of Veemon, so they pressured the questions about Veemon's fate.
"What do you mean?" asked Takato
"How can he be dead?" asked Zoe
"I thought he was just hiding along with Davis" said Kenta
"Dude, now that you mention it, I've never heard Davis talk about him or seen him" answered Kenta
"What do you mean by remembering his death?" asked Takuya
"What happened to him?" asked Tommy
The angels remained silent for a moment simply glaring at the destined who didn't know what to do, the parents looked over to their children and back to the angels,
expecting some sort of attack or confrontation, Wisemon looked at the destined with disappointment and did not speak any words to try to prevent the revelations
that were coming thru.
"Oh! You didn't know" said Alexia mocking the destined
"They never told you" said Victoria
"Oh the nerve of them, to keep their so called team members in the dark, how evil of them" continued Alexia still mocking the destined
"TELL US WHAT! WHAT DIDN'T THEY TELL US!" yelled Rika being the least patient as always
The angels looked at each other as if questioning themselves whether or not to respond to the question, they nodded their heads to each other and turned to face the
large group.
"Our master" said Alexia first
"He suffered so much after his death" continued Victoria
"But what truly destroyed him" continued Alexia
"Is that the ones he called friends"
"Were the ones that killed his partner and most loyal friend" finished Victoria while she glared at the destined
Central Quadrant
The portal opened and Davis appeared inside of the central quadrant, the air felt heavier here, his breath was rapid and his heart raced as he looked around trying to
find his Lily, he noticed that the climate was different from all the other regions of the digital world, although the sun was blazing in the sky, he somehow felt cold
and his body shivered, the sky was a lighter blue than the normal one., it was as if the whole quadrant was a separate dimension from the digital world. The
panorama was different as well, although the weather was cold, he noticed that there seemed to be a forest nearby but the trees were red instead of the usual brown
while the leaves were an amber color, from their branches hung strange fruits and plants, he carefully began walking north, trying to find a clue as to where Lily could
be held captive. He walked for a couple of miles until he noticed his D4A ringing loudly signaling the incoming message.
"It seems that you've made it, just a little more and you'll see your precious Lily again, don't try anything or she'll pay the price"
He put the D4A back in his pocket and repressed the urge to scream and kill anything in sight, he simply began walking further with two things on his mind, rescuing
Lily, and raising hell.
Odaiba High School: Parking Lot
The angels finished the confession, Jeri, Alice and Kouichi looked at each other and realized that what the angels said was true, he had mentioned Veemon's death
before and yet he never openly admitted that his friends were to blame, the rest of the Warriors and Tamers looked unconvinced, they wouldn't believe the demon
lords easily, it was their word against the destined.
"I don't believe you" said Rika
"Even if he did die, that dark power that he has must have been too much for his partner" said Henry logically thinking
"How dare you say that, they were always part of a team, they would never betray them" said Koji with fury
"I think you guys are just trying to confuse us, you're trying to break us apart, but guess what? That won't happen" said Takuya
The two teams continued to argue against the angel's word while the chosen stood in silence not knowing whether to admit their sin or not, Ken looked over to Jeri,
Alice and Kouichi and smiled nervously at them, he slowly nodded at them and stepped forward, his voice was loud and firm as he said to everyone present.
"Stop it!" he said and then turned to the destined who had all their eyes on him
"Guys, it's time for them to know, we've hid that secret for too long"
The destined hesitated and although they seemed to want to tell the truth, their guilt stopped them from admitting their wrongs, Ken was tired of lying, he was guilty
as well, he didn't stop them from killing Veemon, he felt the weight of that action inside of him, he had seen his friend turn into a heartless king and it killed him to
know that he had somehow contributed to that.
"I should of helped him" he began "And I just stood there not doing anything, he was my friend and I let his partner get killed in front of him" his voice became
angrier and at the same time had a sad tone to it "And you!" he said to the destined "All of you, you couldn't get passed your judgment of darkness and took away
the only thing that kept him from breaking apart, and now look, LOOK AT WHAT HE BECAME! WE ALL HAVE A FAULT IN THIS, WE'RE ALL GUILTY, WE ALL KILLED
VEEMON!"
The Tamers, Warriors and even the destined's family members gasped in surprise, they redirected their gazes to the destined who wore masks of remorse and panic,
the angels locked eyes with them and didn't bulge, Wisemon sighed lowly as if a heavy weight had been taken off him, Jeri and Alice looked over to Ken and then
back at the destined hoping for answers.
"Y-Y-ou killed him" said Alice
"How could you kill his friend!" yelled Jeri at them
"WE DIDN'T HAVE A CHOICE! HE KILLED OUR FRIENDS, WIZARDMON AND LEOMON!" yelled Matt back at them
"HE WAS TAKEN OVER BY THE DARKNESS, HE BECAME A MONSTER!" also yelled Tai
Takuya turned to Tai and with an enraged voice he asked "So it's true, you admit that you killed his partner"
"But why didn't he say anything, if this was true then why did he keep quiet" asked Zoe
The angels stepped forward once again and answered the question "Because he wanted to protect you" said Alexia
"If the gods found out about you knowing the truth, you would have been in grave danger" said Victoria
"Not only that, but he wanted a challenge, he wanted his opponents to be banded together as a team, so that way he could prove to you and to himself that he didn't
need a team to succeed" said Alexia finishing
"So, this was all a game to him, he was just playing around" questioned Ryo
"Of course, you dunderheads, he didn't want to kill any of you" answered Victoria
"It would have made his return boring, he wanted to face you but he also wanted to protect you" said Alexia
"Why do you think he helped you three" said Victoria while pointing at Jeri, Alice and Kouichi
"HE DID WHAT?!" asked everyone in surprise
"He helped them get their digimon back, not only that but he gave Kouichi a chance to face his fears and overcome them"
Everyone looked over to Jeri, Alice and Kouichi who were uncomfortable with all the attention they were getting, the angels sensed this and before the tensions began
rising again, they continued talking
"He's not the enemy; at least he's not yours"
"So, who's our enemy? Who's his enemy?" asked Jeri
This time it was Wisemon who answered "The sovereigns of the digital world"
Central Quadrant
Davis continued walking up north, the forest suddenly ended and he found himself in a wasteland with no signs of life whatsoever, on top of a plateau was a
magnificent castle that rivaled the one in the dark ocean; by the looks of it he knew that it was the sovereign's home. He took a deep breath and began running at
inhumane speed towards the top of the plateau, he did so for a couple of minutes and as he was approaching the edge of the beginning of the plateau, he was
stopped as he hit what seemed like an invisible wall, he tried punching, kicking and attacking, he did everything but could not get around it, it seemed to be some
sort of powerful barrier that prevented him from getting thru.
"DAMMIT! DON'T HIDE! COME OUT AND FACE ME COWARDS!" he yelled at the sky
Silence engulfed the area for some time until a loud laugh was heard from the sky; this was followed by five booming voices that made the ground shake with each
word they pronounced.
"Well, well, it seems that you've made it to our humble home" said the first voice
"It is not necessary for us to face you" said the second
"You will not get out alive, I can assure you that" said the third
"As for the child, well, I guess we'll have to see about that" said the fourth
Davis was beyond enraged, his fangs began growing and his eyes flashing different colors, he pulled out his pistols and yelled back at them.
"I WILL GET HER BACK! AND I SWEAR I WILL RIP OUT YOUR SPINES AS I BLEED YOU DRY!"
"HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" laughed the final voice "Little boy, its not us you'll have to worry about, it's them"
Davis turned his back and froze at what he saw, there must have been hundreds of them, no, there were thousands, thousands of ultimate and mega level digimon
that appeared out of nowhere, he had been distracted by the sovereigns and now he was surrounded and with no chance of escape, he knew that he would probably
meet his end in this battle but he had sworn two things, he was going to get revenge and he was going to rescue Lily, even if it cost him his life. The digimon were
not attacking as he had predicted, instead they opened way for him to see what was at the end of the battle lines, far away he saw Lily and Tokomon X inside of what
seemed like a transparent gigantic pod, the child was screaming in fear and held her digimon close to her chest as she wept silently, on her arms were bruises that
showed that she had tried to fight back. Davis gripped his pistols with so much force that he managed to dent them, his power was growing by the minute, he didn't
wait for introductions, he launched himself at the thousands of troops with no hesitation and with a burning rage that could evaporate a whole ocean.
"LILY! DON'T WORRY IM HERE" he yelled back at her as he managed to get her attention
"ONI-CHAN! HELP ME! IM SCARED!" yelled the child as her eyes showed the smallest glint of hope as she saw Davis
The chosen of darkness began attacking his opponents, they were not normal digimon, they were all stronger than the normal ultimates and megas, he was injured in
his back by an incoming attack that went right towards his spine, he groaned in pain and suddenly felt his whole body become tangled, he looked around and
observed that his enemies had trapped him with some strange silver chains that began to produce vapor that came out of them, he felt his insides being punctured,
his eyes grew tired and he realized that these chains were made for extracting energy, they knew that they couldn't defeat him one on one so they decided to
weaken him first and then they would slaughter him.
"UFFF! ARGHH!" he groaned as his right arm was cut heavily by the sword of a Seraphimon
The attacks began to take a toll, he was hit in the stomach with a fire attack that burned his skin until it was purple, his eyes and mouth were bleeding from all the
punches and kicks to the face he had received, but he refused to give up, the chains began holding on tighter to his body but he wouldn't go down, the digimon were
surprised by his resistance so they began to simultaneously attack him to further weaken him. He could see Lily yelling at him to stay strong but the reality was that
he was going down, his stomach and face were bleeding horribly, his right arm was so damaged that the bone could be seen through the bloody flesh, his energy was
running low, now it was only a matter of time until the dark king fell.
Odaiba High School: Parking Lot
"I assure you that what I say is nothing but the truth" said Wisemon as he was bombarded with looks of doubt about the position of the sovereigns "They are not who
they appear to be, they were scared of the power of the dark hazard crest and so they sealed it along with me and the two angels, however, they must of suspected
that young Davis presented all the characteristics needed for the crest and that must be the reason they went after him"
"How do you know all of this?" asked Henry
"I am the protector of the crest, I was tasked with finding its chosen, not only that but I also served under the sovereigns for a while until they casted me away to the
dark ocean"
"How could the sovereigns attack Davis or send someone after him, they were sealed away by the dark masters?" asked Izzi clearly intrigued
"The dark masters existed that is true, they were very powerful but they did not trap the sovereigns, they wanted to take over the digital world to get hold of the
crest of dark hazard, the sovereigns went into hiding and sent their subordinates after the one person they knew could be a candidate for such power, Davis" finished
Wisemon
Before anyone else could continue the interrogation they heard a loud cry of pain coming from the angel of pride.
"AHHH!" yelled Alexia as she fell on one knee and began gripping her chest tightly
"Pride are you… AHHH!" also yelled Victoria while gripping her chest area
The groups turned to the angels and for the first time they saw them in genuine pain, they began sweating and breathing heavily, Wisemon quickly went over to help
them and managed to get them up on their feet once again.
"Lust, its master, he's in danger" said Alexia
"You felt it too, we have to help him, come on let's go" said Victoria as she and Alexia ran towards their cars
The chosen didn't know what was going on, they saw the angels double in pain and then jump into their vehicles ready to speed away, Wisemon looked nervous and
although he knew he needed to leave, he still needed to provide the chosen with an explanation.
"The king went after the gods to the central quadrant, he is in danger and the angels and myself must go to his aid, I apologize but our conversation must be cut
short" he said as he went towards Alexia's car
"WAIT!" yelled Ken "I'll go with you, I already left him once, I won't do it again, I'll help you"
"Us too" said Jeri and Alice "He helped us get our digimon back, we may not be as strong as him but we can at least help him get back here safely"
The rest of the members seemed to be debating whether or not to follow Ken, Jeri and Alice, soon enough Cody stepped up as well along with Kouichi, the rest of the
group decided to help as well, they wanted to know the real truth about Davis and now was the perfect chance, they piled up into separate cars and drove off to
Highton View terrace.
Odaiba: Highton View Terrace
"Why are we at my house" asked Tai as the cars parked outside of the apartment complex
"Beats me, I don't even know where the quadrant is" answered Izzi who was alongside Tai
The parents had reluctantly agreed to stay behind so that they wouldn't be in danger, the group of teens and their digimons followed Wisemon into the building and
thru the stairs to the top, once they reached there they saw they saw the angels walk to the middle of the rooftop, they motioned them to follow, the last thing the
city of Odaiba heard was.
"DIMMENSIONAL RIFT! CENTRAL QUADRANT PORTAL OPEN!"
Central Quadrant
The portal directed the group to the same area Davis had appeared in, the angels looked around for any sign of him with no luck, Wisemon's face contorted into an
expression of awe and reminiscence, he remembered the times he spent here, but the atmosphere was different this time, it was heavier, it was tenser.
"This is the central quadrant, chosen, I shall be your guide in this strange new land, please follow me and keep close, this dimension is where the sovereigns are the
most powerful and they do not welcome intruders"
"Wisemon, we got no time to wait for them, we have to get going!" said Alexia impatiently
"I aint waiting for anyone" said Victoria as she turned to the group "If you want to come then do so, but don't expect us to go slow, this is a matter of life and death
after all so I suggest you start moving"
With that said, both angels transformed into their demon lord forms and took off into the sky flying rapidly to a direction up north. Wisemon looked back at the
chosen who were still confused as to what to do next, he ushered them to digivolve their digimons and follow him since he had a pretty good idea of where Davis
could be.
"TENTOMON DIGIVOLVE TO….TENTOMON?"
Izzi looked at the small digimon that hadn't managed to evolve, he turned back to his friends and noticed that they were all having the same problems, the Warriors
couldn't digivolve into their spirit forms, the Tamers couldn't manage to make their D-Powers work and the rest of the destined couldn't digivolve altogether.
"I was afraid of this" said Wisemon "There seems to be a block on the evolution, you cannot digivolve until it is taken out"
"But how can they control that, this has never happened to us before?" asked Takuya
"In this dimension they are sole controllers of everything, they have almost unlimited power here, we will need to go on foot but I suggest that we hurry, or else by
the time we get there we may be too late"
Central Quadrant: Sovereign Plateau
"ONI-CHAN! GET UP ONI-CHAN!" yelled Lily
Davis was on his knees while a pool of blood surrounded him, thousands of attacks hit him head on and he was being drained of energy with each second that
passed, he could see Lily in the distance and that made him even more desperate to get out of the situation he had unknowingly felled into, she was so small, so
innocent, so pure, why did she have to pay for his sins, she didn't deserve to be there, he didn't deserve her, she deserved better than to be with a monster like him.
In the far and distant sky he saw to angelic figures flying rapidly towards him, he knew that the angels must of sensed his danger and had come to help him, but still
he needed to get Lily, he didn't care about him anymore, he wanted the child to be safe even if it cost him his life.
"MASTER! HOLD ON!" yelled Alexia
"MY LORD DON'T WORRY WE'LL SAVE YOU!" yelled Victoria as well
Davis managed to look up through his blood covered eyes and instead of accepting their help he yelled at them.
"DON'T WORRY ABOUT ME! GET THE CHILD! GO!"
The angels froze for a brief moment to decide their next move, this proved to be a big mistake, in those brief seconds they were surrounded by hundreds of mega
level digimon that readied their attacks at them, Davis watched hopelessly as his angels began to fight valiantly against the gigantic number of opponents, at first
they seemed to be gaining the upper hand and although they managed to kill a considerable amount of enemies, for each opponent that went down, two more took
their place, soon enough the angels were attacked from all sides.
"HAZARD BARRIER!" yelled both of them as the invisible barrier covered them both
The barrier appeared and covered the angels, this proved to be a wrong defense, the barrier could not resist the force of so many attacks at the same time and it
broke under so much pressure, the angels were not prepared to receive such attack and so they took direct hits from all sides.
"NO!" yelled Davis as he saw his angels receive the hit "ALEXIA! VICTORIA! ANSWER ME!"
As the smoke settled it revealed the two angels on the floor with their bodies in a heavily damaged state, there was blood everywhere, their wings were ripped and
broken, their stomachs and legs were busted open, but even in that state they still tried to get back on their feet, they were given no mercy, each time they tried to
get up they were attacked once again, it was a horrible carnage that was taking place and the only things that could be heard were the cries of agony and pain from
the angels, the screams of desperation from Lily and a heavily injured and weakened Davis and that horrible laughter coming from the top of Sovereign Plateau.
Lily watched from a distance with desperation as Alexia and Victoria were massacred, she felt scared, she felt angry but more than that she felt desperate, she had
been saved by these people that with no hesitation took her in as one of their own, they made her feel like she mattered, like she was actually loved, it couldn't end
like this, it just couldn't.
"I-I- h-have t-to help t-t-them" she muttered under her breath
Lily muttered these same words for a couple of minutes and then something unexpected happened, Lily's crest began glowing strongly, the pod where she was kept
began to make a cracking noise as dents and rips began to appear around it, it was beginning to break.
*CRASH*
The last part of the pod broke in a loud crash that was unheard because of the raging battle nearby, Lily had been weakened by the hit she had previously received
from Gennai which made her feel tired and fatigued, the sovereigns watched from the top of the plateau as the child was freed by the power of her crest, they
became enraged at her insolence, how dare that brat think that she could defy them, she would not interfere, the king would fall even if she fell with him as well.
"YOU FOOLS! CAPTURE THE CHILD!" roared the voice of Zquiaomon
"DON'T LET HER ESCAPE!" yelled Fanglongmon as well
Everyone turned over to look at the fragile child who was holding Tokomon X on her arms, she began to run as fast as her small legs managed to carry her towards
Davis's direction, the digimon quickly stood in front of her and grabbed her violently, she screamed and kicked them but they only laughed and gave her terrifying
growls.
"AHHHHH! OWWWWW! I-IT- HURTS, HURTS SO MUCH!" she yelled as she was given a non lethal kick in her ribs that took all of her breath away
Davis had to watch the small girl take a beating for trying to help him, the chains that binded him began to shake while his whole body began radiating pure dark
power, an aura of purple and black surrounded his character, the digimon close to him began to stop their attacks and instead directed surprised gazes at him, his
eyes became completely red as he began to pull himself up all while pulling the chains trying to break free.
The angels managed to lift their heads up to see their master rise up from the floor in a show of pure rage and hatred towards his enemies, the digimon that had
remained passive during the show decided to attack all at once, it was all or nothing.
The final battle seems to be underway, who will come out on top, the gods or the king? Will the chosen stand by the gods? What will Ken and the
others who were helped by Davis do? Will Davis be able to protect the ones he loves, or will he fail?
I apologize for not updating sooner, my modem was broken and it took almost two weeks to replace. I am finally back online and will try to update
