Hey everybody, I'm back! Won't lie to y'all; I actually had this chapter done a while back. I'm just trying something new and not mass uploading new chapters. Anyway, I hope y'all don't start calling bullshit and just enjoy. Thanks!
"Excuse me."
"Yes?"
"I have an order that should've came in today?"
"Okay, can I get a name?"
"Delta Ordance."
"Okay then…Delta Ordance…Delta Ordance…Delta—ah, here you are. Two titanium and dust particle reinforced steel sabers, non-retractable with regular sword sheaths, correct?"
"Yes, ma'am."
"Very well. Your scroll, please."
I pulled out my communicator, handing it to her. Why I still called it a communicator, I did not know, but that's what Sierra continued to call it, so I guess that's what I call it.
"Mmhmm. Okay, your shipment will be here shortly," the lady at the desk said, handing it back to me. I smiled at her as my boxes suddenly came in with a "whoosh" out of a delivery tube. The lady picked them up, handing them to me over the desk. I happily took them from her, bowing my thanks as I walked out of the post office.
"Whoa," Sierra stated, holding my new swords, "Nice!"
"You designed them?"
I turned to Hotel, who was inspecting them himself. I nodded pulling out Alternate Echo as I tried to figure out how I was gonna reconfigure my weapon. Closing my eyes, I began to concentrate, trying to figure out how to carry four swords.
"They're tinted," Hotel pointed out, "Is there dust in them?"
"Yes," I replied, pulling out one of the swords in Alternate Echo. I handed it to him as he held both one of my new swords and my old sword next to each other, comparing them. I grinned and said, "I'd honestly rather be using the old sword with my hands, so I imbued the two new ones with dust so I could control them better…though it was expensive as fuck."
"So are you trading out Alternate Echo?"
"Hell no," I replied to Sierra, who turned to face me, clearly surprised as I said, "I'm gonna use all four of them."
"The fuck?"
Hotel, actually sitting up this time, looked at me like I was a mad man. I chuckled and corrected, "Or rather, I'm gonna use three and have one in reserve."
"My god," Sierra said, "And I thought Hotel was crazy for having two weapons…."
"Well," Hotel stated, "More like one…I traded the Lance in for the Replicant…."
Suddenly, Sierra grabbed him by the collar of his shirt and screamed, "You did WHAT!?"
Well, that would explain why I never saw him using it anymore.
I chuckled to myself, walking over to Sierra's bed, picking my new swords up, getting a new feel for them.
They're…lighter than I thought.
A knock on the door then caught our attention. I turned around as Lima stood up, walking over to the door and opened it, revealing Sword, who had changed his attire to that of a bandana on his forehead, as well as wearing a sleeveless sweater with a muscle shirt under it. I could hear Sierra purr in interest at the size of his arms as he said, "Hey Lima; Delta here?"
My partner nodded and turned to face me.
Hopping off of Sierra's bed, I poked my head out and asked, "Hey, what's up?"
"There's," Sword said, "A bit of a situation with my team right now."
"Huh?"
Sierra poked her head out next to mine as he continued, "Dagger's…umm…brother was it? Yeah, he just kinda showed up to our room and started acting like he owned the place or something."
"Saber?"
I raised an eyebrow, then widened them in fear.
Without warning, I took off down the hallway, heading straight for Team RWBY's room.
"Delta!?"
Sword was just about ready to take off after him, only for Sierra to grab him. The surrounding area suddenly turned gray as Sierra sighed, looping an arm around his as she took him walking down the now time frozen hall. Sword blinked in confusion as Sierra said, "There's…a bit of history between Saber and Delta, I should probably let you know."
"Huh?"
Sword looked at her in curiosity as she said, "Saber was the original leader of Team SWRD before you, you see?"
"He also," Sierra said in disgust, "Had an insatiable obsession with Ruby…."
"'Obsession…,'" Sword repeated, "So did the guy try raping her or something?"
Sierra shivered at the statement, remembering the mess Ruby was in after that night. Ruby had gotten over it, yeah, but just the way her terrified eyes looked after that…Sierra might've had a bit of a sadistic side, but she hated when people, especially her friends, looked scarred for life from a traumatic incident like rape.
"Don't remind me," Sierra answered, finally catching up with Delta.
With a giggle, she stuck a foot out, unfreezing time.
I took one more stride, only to suddenly hit something solid, causing me to trip.
Face planting, I painfully skidded across the ground, hearing Sierra laughing behind me, causing me to turn towards her voice, shooting her a glare. She kept a smile on her face and leaned down, reaching a hand out. With a sigh, I took it as she yanked me back to my feet and said, "Now…let's go save your girlfriend, shall we?"
With that, all three of us took off towards Team RWBY's dorm room, spotting Ruby walking towards it.
My heart lifted itself as I yelled, "Ruby!"
Ruby stopped and turned around, her straight face brightening up as she saw me running at her.
"Delta-!"
I cut her off, tackling her and skidding to a stop, making sure she didn't tumble over. I could hear her gawk as my grip on her tightened up, her hands scratching at the back of my shirt. I felt relieved that she was safe from the clutches of the psycho.
"Del…ta…choking…not…breathing…," Ruby choked out, her hands' grip tightening up on my shirt. Not that I cared at the moment. I was really more concerned about her well-being than her not choking her. So much that I failed to notice her hands go limp.
"Del-TA!"
I felt something hit the back of my head, causing me to let go as I doubled over in pain, clutching where I had been hit as I turned around and screamed, "WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT FOR!?"
"I know you're glad that she's safe, but your girlfriend's no good dead you know," Sierra said with a look of disappointment on her face. I blinked, then turned back around to Ruby, whose eyes had basically turned white as she laid on the ground unconscious, foam actually forming at her mouth.
"RUBY!"
I stroked Ruby's hair as she slept peacefully, smiling as she gave a light moan as I stroked her cheek lightly. She shifted over, facing me as I chuckled lightly, hearing the two behind me talking with the rest of Team RWBY. I leaned in for a light kiss, lightly brushing her lips with my own as I suddenly felt something loop around my neck, pulling me into a tighter kiss. My eyes shot wide open in surprise I felt Ruby's lips curl into a grin, causing me to do the same as we pulled back, my eyes staring right back into her silver ones.
"Sorry about that, Rubes," I apologized, poking her on the cheek. Ruby's grin disappeared as she puffed a cheek and sat up, crossing her arms as she turned away from me. I chuckled, jumping up on her bed and pinning her beneath me, catching her off-guard as I said, "Really, I am."
Ruby then giggled, looping her arms around my neck as she said, "…Oh, fine. You win."
We both went in for another kiss, only to stop at the sound of Yang's wolf whistle, as well as Sierra stating, "Daayum, no wonder Echo's been telling me to tell you to settle down, D."
With a groan, I sat up, shooting a, "Really?" look at her.
Sierra winked victoriously, then cleared her throat and said, "Anyway, let's get onto more pressing matters. Lima? Mind bringing Hotel with you to Team RWBY's room?"
I raised an eyebrow in curiosity, wondering why Sierra said that.
Lima's ear perked at Sierra calling her.
"Mind bringing Hotel with you to Team RWBY's room?"
Setting down her knitting material, she hopped over Delta's bed, poking Hotel, who was lying in his bed.
"Hmm?"
"…Team RWBY's room…now…Sierra…," Lima stated, causing him to groan as he sat up, stretching from his little nap.
We sat in silence for what seemed like an hour. Only, in reality, only ten minutes had passed when there was a knock on the door. Weiss stood up from her spot on the bed below us as she walked over to the door, swinging it open, revealing Lima with Hotel.
…Why did I forget her semblance is super senses…?
With a sigh, I shot her a smile as she immediately skipped over to Blake, immediately rubbing herself on the older Faunus. Blake began to struggle, trying to keep the younger girl away from her as Lima's eyes literally became a large X, struggling against Blake to get her scent all over the older girl.
Sierra began to laugh her heart out as I pulled Ruby close, remembering that Saber was back on campus. Ruby gasped, then grasped my cheek, turning my face to hers as she stared at me, concern written all over her face. My chest flared up as I leaned down, pressing my forehead to hers, then going town and pressing my face into her shoulder. I could feel her hand stroke my hair as Sierra said in the background, "Ruby…you ought to know something…."
Just then, a knock on the door caught our attention, as well as Dagger's voice. What she was saying, I couldn't quite make out. But mixed in was Wind's voice as well, along with Rusty's. I looked up at Lima, whose ears were perked up. She then turned to face the door, growling dangerously as I looked up from Ruby's shoulder. I could see Sword take off his bandana as he stood up, pulling his weapon up into his hand. Don't ask me how he got it with him, he just did. Weiss stared at us, confused, as she reluctantly reached for the door. Sierra reached down to her knife holster, prepared to throw any in case something were to happen.
The door finally opened.
My eyes immediately narrowed at the sight of Dagger's brother.
Saber.
And his eyes were locked solely on me.
That ending though. See ya!
