Hey, guys, I'm back. I looked over the past chapters and fixed it up so there's some differences. Not too big, I think, but still. Returning readers are probably going to read this over or something. I know I would if I haven't read this fanfic in two years...Sorry about that.

"Roxas!" Axel gasps, his smile getting wider and wider. "I'm so glad you're okay. I-" A tear escapes his eye and he laughs weakly. "I was so scared."
"What're you doing here, Axel.?" Roxas grunts as he struggles to sit up.
"Right, sorry, I guess I'm the last person you'd expect here. It's just, I got a call that you were in an accident and what else am I supposed to do when my friend gets hurt?"
"Friend?" Roxas looks up at him, confused.
Axel looks down in shame. "I know we ended on bad terms but I really care about you, Roxas."
"I still think about..." Roxas sighs, getting accustomed to sore parts of his body. "I still think about that night that I left. Sometimes I wish I stayed, while other nights I'm glad that I left."
"You can come back whenever you want."
"I'm not sure if I want to."
"Think about it then. You can come anytime to talk about it. Hell, you can even come if you don't want to work." He scratches the back of his head nervously. "Just know I'm here for you."
"It didn't seem like it before."
Axel furrows his brows and objects, "Roxas, I-"
Multiple voices interrupt him as Roxas' family bursts in. His mom, Sora, and Riku come in, as well as Hayner, Pence, Olette, to Roxas' surprise.
"Oh my goodness, are you okay? !"
"Thank Kingdom Hearts you're safe!"
"How many flips did you do?" Riku mutters.
Among the commotion, Hayner glares at Axel, who backed away to avoid being pushed away by the crowd. As Roxas attempts to calm everyone down, Axel leaves the hospital room and sighs. "At least he's back where he belongs."
"Glad you understand." Axel turns to find Hayner stepping out of the room. "I don't know how you found out Roxas got in an accident but don't ever do that again."
"Excuse me. Do what? Visit him?" Axel glares at Hayner. "I don't know who told me what happened but I'm glad they did. He's my friend."
"No, he's not. He's our friend. You," Hayner laughs. "You're just a phase."
"Say that again." Axel snaps.
"You understand that you were just a phase and he's back where he belongs." Hayner says snidely. "Now go back to whatever freak show you came from."
Axel grabs Hayner by the front of his shirt and pushes him up against the wall, forcing a grunt out of the younger. "Listen, you little shit, even if you think I'm a phase, even if you think you have him back, whenever he's thinking in his own little world like Roxas does, you can bet he's thinking about me. Got it memorized?" He shoves Hayner away and smirks as he strides down the hall, away from Hayner's burning glare.

"Yes, I'm fine." Roxas sighs as his mother searches through the papers on the clipboard at the end of his bed. "Can you guys just relax?"
"How, Roxas, when you just survived a car crash? !" Pence asks, starring at Roxas in disbelief.
"Yah, we're all very lucky that you got out with just a broken arm." Olette chimes. Her eyes are red and puffy. Roxas glances over at his mom and notices the same with her, as well as Sora.
They all continued to cope in their own way. Olette and Pence acted as if they hadn't missed a day without seeing Roxas. Riku kept his arm around Sora, which kept him noticeably calmer. Roxas' mother checked through all of his papers and the machines hooked up to him to keep her sane. And Hayner, for some reason, had left the room. Roxas only noticed until the room calmed down. He'd also noticed Axel had disappeared.
For a moment, his heart jumped.
"Where's Hayner?" Roxas asks.
Olette and Pence look around. "That's weird. He was here a minute ago." Olette says and opens the door to peer into the hall. Hayner walks in past her and she continues, "Found him."
"Sorry, I had a call." Hayner says. "I'm glad you're okay, Roxas."
Roxas looks up at his friend and smiles. "Yah, I'm great now."
Hayner loses himself in Roxas' smile and grins. "I'm glad."

Rikku sits on a bench outside of the hospital, listening to the rain's soft tapping as it hits the concrete. A police car pulls up and a woman steps out, her silver hair brushed back more professionally under her police cap. She joins Rikku on the bench and sighs.
"You didn't find them.?" Rikku asks. The woman shakes her head. Rikku turns toward her, hands held out and upwards in confusion. "How? ! How do you crash and regain consciousness in time to leave? He's injured, he couldn't have gone far!"
"We know."
"But Paine-"
"We know." Paine interrupts. She looks to Rikku, locking her deep red eyes with the Al Bhed's. "We searched everywhere. Anywhere he could've possibly been. But he's gone. We don't even know who he is; the car's stolen."
Rikku sighs and sits back against the bench. There's a moment of silence before she says, "Either he's in pain or he's dead. He'll appear eventually." She takes in a deep breath and rubs her forehead. "At least Roxas is safe."

"Reno."
Reno slowly opens his eyes and sees a figure standing beside him. He's familiar with him and smiles weakly, "Hey, boss."
"Thank you." The man says as he pulls Reno from the car wreckage, making him moan in pain. "Thank you for looking after Roxas."
"I didn't do that good." Reno says as the man puts Reno's arm over his shoulder and helps him walk to a car nearby. Reno looks over to Roxas' car, flipped onto it's side. He gasps. "R-Roxas."
"Don't worry about him."
Reno pulls away from the man's grip and stumbles toward the car. He falls to his knees a few feet away, but calls out, "Roxas!" It pains him to do so but he continues, "Roxas! I-" A different man grabs his arm, one of two who had been waiting in the car for him to enter.
"Hurry, people are coming." The man Reno had called boss orders. "Take him to the car."
The man picks Reno up bridal style to avoid straining his injuries more. Reno begins to lose his breath and struggles to keep his eyes open. As he's gasping for air, he says, "Roxas, I-I'm sorry...but..."
The man sets him into the car and heads to the driver's seat. Reno peers out the window, still able to see Roxas' wrecked car. The men speed away, passing ambulances as they rush to the scene.
Reno's breathing slows. He watches the lamp lights lining the streets, trying to keep his eyes open. It's no use and they begin to flutter shut.
"Thank you for looking after Roxas, Reno. Now I know he'll be safe." The man that Reno recognized says.
Reno smiles. I know he will. His body relaxes as he releases his final breath, allowing something to fall from his hand. He has my brother.
"Huh?" The man sitting next to him says, spotting what had fallen. He picks it up and holds it over to give to Reno. "Hey, you dropped your phone." Silence. "You alright? Uh, boss, I think he's gone."
"Reno?"
